Fujitaki Ronald, DDS

I had a fiberotomy done at Dr. Fujitaki’s office just, and I have to say that I’ve been really pleased with the experience! I was referred to Dr. Fujitaki by my orthodontist, and I was initially nervous as the procedure sounded painful and quite unpleasant. My visit to his office, however, went really smoothly, and everything turned out to be alright!
When I arrived at the office for the consultation appointment, I was greeted by his staff, all of who were really friendly and helpful. Dr. Fujitaki was really thorough in explaining the procedure and even called later to follow up on how I was doing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional periodontist in Fremont.

Get a second opinion after your visit or find someone else! This doctor recommeded two procedures for my gum problem. The cost estimate was around $ 2500 or more. I went to another specialist and it would only take one procedure and the cost is only $ 750.I was told that one of the procedures that Dr. Fujitaki recommended was not needed and that’s how they make money!

I was referred to Dr. Fujitaki after a regular appointment with Dr. Montane, he was very gentle and recommend that I get the graph done on my bottom tooth #25, I had the procedure done yesterday it went faster than expected. Both the Dr. And assistant Victoria were very nice and gentle. The office staff is very nice and knowledgeable they helped me figure out my insurance the whole process went smoothly thanks to Dr. Fujitaki and the staff. Also forgot to mention he called me today to follow up. Very nice.

After I discussed the issue with doctor himself. They first offer a partial waiver, and later a full waiver of the fees. We thank them for the offering.
We will do pre-​authorization before we do services in the future.

My dentist, Dr. Sobre Pena, highly recommended Dr. Fujitaki to me a few years ago for gum recession. He is one of the kindest, most competent, and most genuine doctor’s I have ever had. I had two graft procedures done with Dr Fujitaki. Both grafts were done with great care and he spent as much time as I needed explaining things to me and helping me feel comfortable. When I came back post procedure, he was just as patient and willing to take as much time needed answering questions. He also was very thorough with his advise on how to maintain the healthiest gums possible. Since my procedure with him, my dentist has been very happy with the health of my gums. I have followed Dr Fujitaki’s advise on how to keep my gums healthy and it has worked. I can not be happier because I have not needed to get another graft done since. In fact, at my last dental cleaning, my dentist has noted some gum growth! He is the best periodontist I have ever had bar none. Thanks to his advise, my gums are healthier than they have been in years! I can not recommend this awesome periodontist any higher.

My first periodontist recommended that I get tissue graft surgery for my recession. I saw Dr. Fujitaki for a 2^nd opinion. Upon examination, Dr. Fujitaki said that my recession was normal and to recommend surgery would be unethical.
I was very impressed with Dr. Fujitaki’s honesty and desire to seek the patient’s best interests.
I am quite surprised by the other reviews, as it is not close to what I had experienced. If I am in need of periodontal work in the future, I will be going to Ron Fujitaki.

I went to Dr. Fujitaki for a second opinion after my general dentist wanted to charge me a lot of $$$ above my standard co-​pay for «necessary» dental work. Dr. Fujitaki reviewed my xrays and advised me of the true nature of my situation. I felt very comfortable with his professional advice and his cost were much more reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Needless to say I had my procedure done by Dr. Fujitaki and as nervous as I am about dental procedures, Dr. Fujitaki put all my fears to ease during the whole process. His exceptional assistant, Victoria, was awesome too. I always have the fear of gagging or swallowing on my saliva and/​or the water they use to cleanse your teeth during a procedure, but Victoria was great at keeping me gag free. I would highly recommend Dr. Fujitaki for any periodontal work! I am very happy with my results :)

I was extremely disappointed with the way this place was run. I was also referred here to do a gum procedure, and one of the receptionists offered to waive $ 100 (which was actually the evaluation fee. You are paying them $ 100 just to sit there and have them say, «Oh yes, you need this procedure.» and then you’re on your way after two minutes) as long as I paid in full and not with credit card. Of course, I agreed to this.
After the «evaluation», they scheduled me for the Friday of next week. A friend had accompanied me at the time, and she had also heard that it would be on a Friday. I get a call next Thursday, saying that I had missed my appointment. My friend and I are both positive that she had said Friday, because Dr. Fujitaki had other appointments and meetings on other days. I wasn’t charged for missing it, but it still worried me nonetheless.
They operated on my gums for no longer than hour, and charged me almost $ 2000 for it. The helper herself said that it was an extremely easy and quick procedure, which actually made me more wary.
I get the bill, $ 20 wasn’t waived. I’m not too worried and didn’t want to make a big fuss over it.
I get another bill, a week later, except this one is a random $ 100. Now that was uncalled for. I call up the office, and they tell me that they NEVER waive anything. I am still utterly confused by this.
I highly suggest you don’t come here on your own free will, and if your dentist refers you here, try to see if there are any other options.

My general practice dentist referred me to Dr. Fujitaki for gum work.
Good things: his staff all seem to be friendly, nice people. The dental hygienists who did the work (root scraping) seemed competent and they tried to make sure the work caused me no more pain than necessary. That earns this dental office the two stars.
Bad things: short story, Dr. Fujitaki was in the process of trying to talk me into more work on my gums. He started the conversation by saying, «it’s borderline whether you need this…» I stopped him at that point by saying, «if it’s borderline, then I won’t have it done.» His eyes flashed with anger! I suspect he was actually mad at himself for letting me know there was doubt that I needed this procedure, but, of course, he was mad at me for realizing what he’d said. I stuck to my guns and refused to agree to this additional $ 1,000.00 (cash, no insurance). He said he’d write a letter to my regular dentist, as if this were a threat.
I don’t recommend Dr. Fujitaki. It’s unprofessional to blow your cool — and it should be my choice to say «no» when the need is «borderline.»
Update: 1÷31÷2007
One of his office staff called me today to say they’d heard from my insurance company regarding how much they would pay, etc. It seems they’d submitted paperwork for this procedure that I’d never approved and didn’t want. I told her that and she just babbled, «blah, blah, blah.» I will never go back to this dentist.
