Absolutely bad service here, walked in today and patiently waited for 10 mins to not be serviced not acknowledged. A simple smile and greet would have been great. After patiently waiting and noticing that there were two ladies in the food line working fast pace and the drive thru line orders(from what I can hear) not ending at all. I figured that my 10 minute wait could turn into a 30 minute wait after placing my order. I came to a quick conclusion after that since I live an hour and twenty minutes away, two and a half hours with traffic, even worse on Fridays up to three hours, I decide that I wasn’t going to spend any unnecessary time waiting for a simple order to be handed to me so I can get back on the road. Extremely disappointed that the manager in a nice white dress shirt did not acknowledge even after waiting for ten minutes. I simply walked out after wasting those ten minutes. Pathetic!

It’s 1am nowhere else is open, I come in looking for some dollar menu deals but they tell me I can’t have it because they are cleaning up their grill. I’m unhappy, very unhappy because the next cheapest thing costs three times as much to have. We stifle it though because the drive through worker sounded apologetic and we get our food go through… And I’m shocked when we open the bag, but the server put in a cookie for each of us in the car! Uncharged, straight up off the receipt, even though we didn’t complain outbound! She really just honestly felt bad we couldn’t order what we wanted and slipped us free cookies! Shocked.

Went to this place around 9:45 and they were closed, when I went through the drive thru the guy said that they closed the lobby early because they were short staffed, I saw 4 employees and thought how was that possible. I just don’t feel this is right

So strap in for a long, ponderous post, anyone-who-reads-this. I feel like people expect amazing, above-and-beyond customer service these days. I feel like in reality, sometimes when servers give excellent service, what they are doing is almost like an act of kindness. Such is what I experienced at Carl’s Jr. I basically wanted to order that Most American thickburger, the one with that woman with Stars and Stripes and a big truck in the TV ad. I accidentally ordered and left the drive-thru with a diff burger, but the guys at the drive-in took compassion on dumb ol’ me when I came back soon after I discovered I didn’t get what I wanted. They worked it out and got me the American Thickburger. Call me high maintenance, but I had gone there on a mission to try that burger. Btw, the American Thickburger(it has potato chips, a layer of halved hot dogs, and a burger patty, and cheese and other stuff) was everything that I hoped it would be. My stomach hated me later, but it was worth it.

Updated: they finally got the malt powder in stock! As promised I’m bumping up my review. Previously: I don’t normally give crap ratings, but I have two issues with this place, one of which is false advertising. Let’s get the basic stuff out of the way: the food is your standard Carl’s Juniors fast food and generally offers the expected experience. I happen to be a fan of the Santa Fe chicken sandwich with added jalapeños. The burgers here are generally pretty good. The thing that really urks me is the false advertising and clueless response to it. I see the sign on the menu advertising milkshakes and malts. Huh, I haven’t had a malt in a long time so I figure I’ll order one. Only problem is that the employees here have no idea what a malt is and when I point it out on the menu they act stunned, like they hadn’t noticed it before. I try and explain what a malt is, but the looks of confusion just get worse. I give up and order a shake. When I get it I’m even more irritated(and a bit confused) when I see the square on the side of the cup labeled«malt» so that they can indicate if it is a malt. Not checked of couse. They probably dont even know it’s there. Arghh… Either figure out what that means and make it or take it off the menu. They have a play area for the kids which is actually a pretty good one. When it is open. We promise my little one some time in the playground and head to Carl’s place of disappointment only to find(after ordering, of course) that they have closed the playground due to some hardly noticeable drizzle earlier in the day. We were not the only disappointed parents there. At least put out a sign near the ordering area to warn of the closed play area. This would make parenting a bit easier. They refused to open it despite the dry equipment and bright sun. That’s it. That’s my beef with this place. Fix the malt issue and I’ll bump up the rating… Keep the playground open and you’ll be my friend.

I usually don’t Unilocal fast food. But I had to let you people know how good the fresh biscuits and gravy is. I was craving biscuits & gravy… didn’t want to go to a restaurant so decided to give Carl’s a try I was pleasantly surprised. The gravy comes in a separate container so the biscuit doesn’t get all mushy on Ur way home. I ate it before I thought of getting a picture sorry. But try it if your a fan of B&G you will like there’s :)

Bf and I ONLY come here at night because we’re always craving fast food, moreso… Carl’s Jr burgers and fries. The guy working is not very nice and seems to rush our orders, but he gets our orders correct all the time. He seems like he hates his job… but a job is a job! At least smile man. Carl’s Jr chili cheese fries are my weakness.

Food is good, but sometimes the burgers can be dry. Also the French fries aren’t always fresh. If you ever want Waffle Fries ask for them to be lightly well done, so they will definitely be fresh! Service is always slow… Expect a relatively long wait for a fast food restaurant

The lady working the drive-thru tonight was very nice. Very fast service. Unfortunately, my spicy chicken sandwiches tasted hard. It seemed like they reheated yesterday’s sandwiches. The bread looked like it had been picked at. The top was peeled. I posted a photo

I usually don’t write reviews for common, fast-food joints, but this one really deserved a rating. A one-star rating that is. My fiancé and I were in a RUSH for lunch, so we decided to use their drive-thru. We placed an order, then had to sit in line for at least 15 minutes! There were only 2 – 3 cars in front of us, but there was a huge line of cars building behind us. Everyone had their engines turned off, and were just waiting… Once we finally received our food, the burgers were small, pathetic, and unsatisfying. Their service is slow & their food is unfulfilling. They may have a cool looking rocket ship in the children’s playground(actually, to be honest, the colors make it look a bit creepy), but don’t waste your time coming here. Also, I’m sure the pricing is competitive and comparative to other burger joints in the area, but we just moved up here from San Diego. San Diego Carl’s Jr locations charge about $ 1LESS than they do here.

The service is super slow here, which is too bad because we don’t have many Carl’s Jr’s in the area. The one down the street in Newark is a little better, but stay away from the one in Newark!

They just don’t seem to have it together! Not very busy, but was chaotic! Upside, the breakfast burrito had ingredients that I could identify and the salsa was fresh. The Warm Spring’s CJ’s has got it together!

Good here sometimes is a hit or miss… If getting your food from the drive-thru, double check it before driving off! I’ve had them forget stuff :(

Wow, this place seems to always get my order messed up. Maybe it’s because I always ask for no Mayo on my burgers but other places do not seem to have that problem. Thier food is ok, what can you expect from a fast food place. I’m not sure if the employees just don’t care or they are in a hurry. Several times I had to go back and ask them to fix my burger because they put Mayo on my burger. If it weren’t for the constant coupons that I keep getting in the mail, I probably wouldn’t go to this place. The only recommendation that I suggest is to always check your order before leaving the parking lot; it can save you a drive back, to get your order fixed.

I’ve had some great burgers at this chain, but not at this particular location. This is not a great section of Fremont and I suppose they have a hard time getting motivated workers in the place. But the staff present when I’ve been here has been a particularly dismal lot.

This review isn’t so much about the food or anything, as all Carl’s Jr. locations are probably the same food-wise. This is about service. Drove through this location’s drive-thru in a hurry recently, and I just ordered an iced tea — but I drove off without my VISA card. I didn’t realize this until hours later. When I called, the manager had the card in the safe and apologized for an employee not returning it to me. Not sure if that was really anyone’s fault but mine, but the kind thoughts helped alleviate my panic. Went back to the location, picked up the card, and all was merry. Losing anything in your wallet can be a horrible experience for some people, and I’m one of those people who never loses anything. So you can understand my relief when all was resolved so easily. No residual problems with the bank or anything. Felt very fortunate, as I’ve known people to lose things and find their accounts jacked up, etc. To me, that’s GREAT service.

After getting some coupons in the mail and visiting another Carl’s Jr. for my nephew, My wife and I decided to try a six-dollar Teriyaki Burger at this Carl’s yesterday. I ordered the Teriyaki burger, a spicy chicken burger, small fries and drink. I was happy with the order because with the coupon, the drink and fries were free. After paying and getting a number, I got our drinks(ice tea and water) and found a table. When we sat down, the server came with the order — I was glad at the speed of service. Upon opening the box with the Teriyaki burger, I could not believe how big it was. I did split the burger with my wife. Even after splitting the burger, it was still large. The Teriyaki burger was the juiciest, and tastiest burger, I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. The meat patty was large, vegetables were fresh and the grilled pineapples made it superb. It was so large that it was hard to keep everything together on the buns. The fries were tasty with the skins attached, and accompanied the burger well. Drinks were self serve at the beverage bar. It was great that the ice tea was freshly brew and they had the fresh lemons at the beverage bar. I never did like packaged lemon juice to put in my ice tea. In the end, it was a great meal. We never did get to eat the chicken burger — took it home for later! Overall, it was a great visit, and we will definitely return in the future! One star removed for the older facility but it really did not matter with the good food and friendly service.
