Auto Tech Body & Frame

Our leased Nissan Leaf needed some body work before the lease return. Took it to few body shops in Fremont. Some took up to 20 minutes to give a quote. Some gave very expensive quotes. Some said bumper has to be replaced rather than repaired. David took 3 minutes to give the cheapest quote. He even gave us a ride to our home. Job was done very well and with in the time promised. The Nissan Leaf passed the inspection with out any issues. Would highly recommend «Auto Tech Body & Frame» for your auto body needs.

A couple weeks ago my boyfriend got into a car accident, the airbag was deployed and the hood and bumper was damage pretty darn bad,. I was refer to TGIF in fremont. I called they said they are so booked they could only schedule me the week after. After agreeing and waiting a couple days, I decided to look around on Unilocal and I found a body shop, that I think I want to bring my car too. I called the body shop up immediately, spoke to the owner, his name was David. Not only that he ask for me to bring in the car as soon as possible, he also waited for me after hour so that I could get the car to the shop so that he could start the process. Thank you for being so patience, he understood that I need my car as soon as possible. And that sharing one car with my boyfriend will be difficult. I did a follow up with him from time to time, he always tell me, we are almost done, he would always contact me to give me the update with the car. I got a call on wednesday, from him this week and he said the car is ready. Me and my boyfriend show up at the body shop and, oh boy am I impressed with his work. It look brand new as if it was the first time he bought the car from the dealership. His work was outstanding and his performance on the car was very impressive. Would I recommend this to my friends, family and other, most definitely no doubt about this. And I’m very happy that I didn’t waited on TGIF or my boyfriend car is still in their shop. Great job on my car. Was able to give me a quick estimate and found it very affordable. I would highly recommended this place. But as another reviewer commented, you have to follow up. Still, I think it’s well worth it.

I have brought my car here twice in the past couple years to get my bumper fixed. The first time was to fix my bumper after a different shop did crappy work that left my bumper literally hanging off a couple of months later. The second time was after someone hit my front end in a parking lot.
Both times, their workmanship was great. They repaired the bumper so it’s like it never happened. The fit and paint job is always perfect and blends in seamlessly with the rest of the car. The first time the quote they gave was cheap and pretty accurate. The second time I brought it in, they worked with the other guy’s insurance so I didn’t have to. And they even gave me a little bottle of touch up paint, just in case. Which I’ve never needed because their work is perfect.
My only knock against them is communication. I never know what is going on with my car unless I call them. For instance, last time I brought my car in, they said it would be ready Friday. But then they found more damage so they had to get the insurance guy to come out and he couldn’t come til Monday. Not their fault, but nobody told me. Finally at like 5pm on friday I gave them a call and they updated me. So then the next week the insurance guy comes by, but I don’t hear anything again. Then on Tuesday at closing time they call asking if I was going to pick up my car, that I didn’t even know was ready.
So yes, their communication is a little frustrating. But they do such great work that I’ll still bring my car to them. I just know I have to be the one to call.

I came here for an estimate of rear bumper damage while backing. David looked at the damages and provided affordable estimate for the repairs. He and his crew did a fantastic job and returned the car on time and it looked as good as new. I would highly recommend anyone to David for all car body work.

Someone in the parking lot bumped into my ’08 Infiniti G37 and scratched up my rear quarter with the wheel.
I took it to Auto Tech in Fremont because I read a couple of nice reviews on Unilocal,and it’s close to my home.
David was very nice. He arranged for Enterprise to pick me up and did a really nice repair. It is pretty difficult to tell I had an accident. I am very happy with it. Pics of the car before and after attached.

David is gonna kick my ass if I did not post a review! He worked on my 2005 Porsche Boxster S and I brought him my 1999 VW EUROVAN Camper too. However he wanted no part of my 1995 Audi S6 Avant, so I’m gonna deduct one star… just kidding.

I went there to get the estimate for my car, and I am glad I did. Because David who is the the owner of the shop is a very experienced person and he gave me a quote that is very affordable which I compared with the quotes those I got from different shops. He even gave me a ride home and did a very good job with my car. My car is looks like a new now and I am very happy with the service. I really recommend anyone to at least go there to get an estimate especially if you are paying from your own pocket.

I made a mistake. It turned out that David did ask me to bring back my car for detailing when I picked up my car. Somehow it slipped thru my mind.
2 weeks ago, I took the car back and David did a followup detailing on my Mazda. The team did a great job I must say. The car looked almost brand new inside out from a distance.
At this point, I am completely satisfied with Auto Tech, hence the revised 5 stars. I would highly recommend anyone to David for all car body work.

Combination of quality and price is unbeatable, and this is best auto body shop in Fremont. I got rear bumper of my Lexus repaired. It looks as good as new after repair, while price is cheaper compared to new bumper.

Had to replace my side mirror after it had an unfortunate incident with a SF cab. Dealer quote was more than I liked, so I thought I’d order the part online (for way cheaper) and DIY the repair…
Fast forward a couple weeks… Got part, took off door panel, and realized I’d need «real» mechanics tools to reach the screws in the door frame…
So I went down Fremont’s «Autorepair Parkway» (Albrae) to see if I could get a pro’s help…
Drove by this place, saw the owner (presumably), and thought «what the heck». Armed with my internal price point, I asked him for a quote and ETA.
Quote was very reasonable, and repair could be done immediately. Sold.
30 minutes later, repair is completed, and my car no longer has a droopy right ear.
Based on my initial interaction with them, I would definitely be comfortable approaching this place for more serious jobs… Say, two years of SF bumper kisses, a bumper-​meet-​pole incident, or my favorite… Two years of love taps from my former neighbor’s X5 passenger door.

The owner was extremely helpful, professional, reasonable and the body work was really good. It looked even better than the original. Highly recommended!
