We called these guys to help put together 6 IKEA cabinets/​bookcases/​closet organizers that we brought home, thinking it’d be quick and easy to put together. Apparently DIY is not our thing — as one look at the instructions and we knew we needed help!
We loved that 1) they’re local to Fredericksburg, 2) they’re very reasonably priced, 3) scheduling a appointment was fast and easy (whoever answered the phone was actually *NICE*!) and to top it off 4) they were on time and fast! It seriously took the 2 guys 3hrs to put everything together, because they do this on a regular basis. It would have taken us all weekend to figure out, much less construct the items… Both the guys who showed up were friendly, professional and got right to work — despite my 2 dogs regular attempts to «help.» Payment was seamless and now our home is a bit more organized! What an excellent service!
Bottom line, AIS gave us our weekend back! I’ll call them in a heartbeat if I ever decide to buy DIY furniture again.

I had a great experience with this company. They did a re-​install of my Ikea kitchen after I had flood damage. Damon is the owner and very involved /​hands on which I appreciate. He came to my house twice personally and even helped with the granite install.
His crews have a lot of years of construction experience and are very thorough /​knowledgeable /​creative @ solving problems. Most importantly they are communicative and make themselves available most any time of day.
AIS exceeded my expectations and for a price that was below other similar companies. I would use them again anytime. Highly recommended.

I scheduled AIS to install a new IKEA BESTA entertainment center on 1÷14÷2014, and they did a great job. The entire unit was a collection of components with no specific configuration instructions, but Damon and Jeremy were able to put everything together correctly and efficiently. It took them a full work day, but it required mounting shelves, tons of alignments, and mounting a flat screen TV on the unit as well. They had to do a lot of custom drilling and configuration for my exact setup with the wiring and outlets in the room, but they did a great job and made sure everything was working properly before they left.
They arrived within the designated time window, were very courteous and accommodating, and did a great job for the price I was quoted on the phone. I would recommend this service to a friend next time they need a service like this.

I was very disappointed with my services. I hired someone to fix my dresser. The gentleman who came out was very nice, but needed to make a second trip to fix my dresser and then wanted to charge me for the second trip! I was very disappointed. When I asked for my money back since he was unable to fix my dresser in the first place, he refused. When I called to follow up, the woman said she would look into it and would call me back. She never returned my phone calls, and IGNORED my calls when I called them back to follow up. This company seriously lacks professionalism. I would NOT recommend this company. STAY AWAY!

I hired this company to put together some Ikea furniture, and I also inquired as to whether they could fix or replace a shower door. I was told by the technician that he could fix the door for $ 60. He spent about 15 – 20 minutes trying to fix it, but was unsuccessful and apologetic. When he gave me a breakdown of the bill at the end, he included the $ 60. I asked him whether it was appropriate to charge that money when he wasn’t able to fix the door. He said that he is a just a contract workers, and the «boss» said that the best he could do was reduce the fee to $ 50. I paid, but I contacted the company by email to tell them that this was not an appropriate charge, that $ 50 for 15 minutes or so of UNSUCCESSFUL repair work was outrageous. The company did not deny that they were unable to fix the door, but said via email that they had to pay for the technician’s time, and they refused to waive or even reduce the fee.
I should add that while the workers who came were nice enough and pretty efficient, one of them put together two of the pieces incorrectly, so that unfinished wood rather than finished wood was showing, fortunately in a place that’s not so noticeable. When I asked the worker, he ridiculously claimed that he did it right. I mentioned this in an email to the company, and got no response.
I do not recommend this company.
