Established in 2001.

After 10+ years of management/​head installer at custom shops in the northern va area, I decided to open Action auto sound and security in 2001. And have been happily severing the Stafford/​Fredericksburg area ever since. We are the place to come if your looking for one on one knowledgeable assistance with your Automotive electronics needs. All work is performed by or supervised by the owner himself.

I had a radio installed in my wife’s van here. The owner was very helpful, patient and most importantly, he did a great job. I will be bringing my truck back here to get a new radio for myself. Go here if you need anything car audio related, you won’t regret it.

Shaun did an outstanding job in installing a stereo in my truck. He’s professional, courteous, and expedient. Very knowledgable and even took the time after installation in showing me how the stereo works. I would recommend him to anyone in the area to pay him a visit the next time they need an installation of a sound system, alarm system, keyless entry and/​or auto start entry system.

I had been told by several folks this was the place to go for a new car stereo, Unilocal seemed to agree, and everyone was right. Shaun really knows his stuff, actually undersold me on some components as opposed to trying to oversell me. He convinced me I didn’t need what I thought I wanted to get the desired result, and he was right. Saved me several hundred dollars. Install done in one day, looks great, sounds great. Highly recommend this place and its owner.

This place is local small business at it’s best. I needed to replace my stereo head unit once my old one was stolen — the old one was installed by best buy and was a pretty solid unit but the price was outrageous. I came in and Shaun gave me a super fair price which was 1⁄3 of what best buy charged for a WAYYYYYY superior service. He was very straight forward with pricing, install, and overall knowledge of what needed to be done. He even used his knowledge to save me $ 100 dollars on a piece that I could do without. Even though I kept him past the 6pm closing time he took his time showing me how the new radio worked and even setting the time and colors on it for me. He pays super attention to detail, is very reasonably priced, and overall just a nice guy. I could not recommend this place higher.

action audio is a great shop and Sean is very knowledgeable and personable guy. I had him hookup my system in my passat later the sub had an issue took it back in he diagnosed the issue and installed a new sub and he was fast in the install and I was very satisfied! Update: I recently returned to Action Auto for Shaun to install a remote starting package for my daughter’s car. WOW… another timely and very professional installation. My daughter loves the remote start option during cold weather. Thanks Shaun… awesome job!!!
