We are a specialty shop conveniently located among the popular specialty shops along Shab Row in downtown Frederick, MD. We carry a wide variety of gourmet edible salts from around the globe. Our product lines include sea salts, mineral salts (fine and course ground), flakes, finishing salts, smoked salts, flavored salts, salt slabs and stones. We also carry assorted whole peppercorns, grinders, mortars & pestles. In addition to a wide variety of salts, peppercorns and accessories, we also carry locally handcrafted «Salt Pigs» from a variety of artisans who specialize in hand crafted pottery.

History

Established in 2013.

The Salt Pig opened its door in downtown Frederick on November 2^nd, 2013 during the very popular First Saturday event held monthly to showcase all of the wonderful local shops in the vibrant historic district of Frederick. We are located across the street from the Frederick Coffee Company in the Shab Row Complex directly on East Street with convenient parking and lots of specialty shops around.
