Molly’s Meanderings

I love this place. It is so hard to find a cute boutique that is still in business! I love unique clothing and accessories and this place delivers both. I do not mind paying a little more for quality pieces. I have gotten so many compliments on the items I have purchased from this store over the years. They sell Brighton jewelry and purses as well. Such a darling spot and I always visit any time I am in the Frederick area.

Full of pretty things! Great clothing pieces and accessories! Great little soaps, lotions, gift items… It is a very nice shop! It is full of different enough styles and smells to appeal to a variety of people. When I eat dinner downtown I always have to stop in Molly’s! They aren’t always open when I am able to get in there, that is my only complaint. You would think that on a Saturday evening after eating dinner, they would stay open later for exactly that reason.

I was walking through downtown Frederick, saw a pretty display window, and wandered into Molly’s Meanderings. I know I’ve been there before, but not in a long time. I don’t know if it was the same staff as a year ago, but there were two friendly ladies (I’m assuming owners, maybe?) who did not mind as I looked in every corner and very gently touched everything. They are a little high-​priced (for my budget,) but whatever I’ve purchased: slippers, perfume balm, soap, ornaments, I’ve always been satisfied. Maybe this is standard, but there were testers for the Parisian lotion, so you know what you’ll be paying for. I’m giving this 5 stars, instead of 4, because of the comfortable atmosphere, that just means a lot to me in the smaller shops.

Before I begin this review… I just want to say I AM *NOT* PREGNANT!
But like most women of any age, adorably cute baby crap makes us all mushy and coo. Molly’s Meanderings is no different. The majority of the store has nice high end, moderately boho chic clothing… but in the back right hand corner, is a baby corner where my mother in law and I spend nearly an hour cooing over every little thing. Yeah. We’re ridiculous.
OK, so we weren’t going to buy (although my MIL did give me some pointed remarks about procreation), but we were there for so long and cooed so loudly that I was rather surprised that no sales staff came by to check up on us. I mean, really, we sounded like a pack of gestating elephants. We were REALLY loud. And touched everything (and personally, I thought everything was priced a little higher then expected… and by «a little higher» I’m being generous).
Anyhoo…the store is cute, packed with stuff, but it’s clear that the staff is deaf and blind. Eh.
