History

Established in 2001.

Throughout Franklin, Michigan each of the vintage homes and buildings have a story to tell — as does The Franklin Grill & Tavern.

Initially built in 1840, the building served as the local carriage, buggy and blacksmith shop. The main floor is where the blacksmith would produce nails, bullet molds, yoke rings, hoes and other essentials for the area. The rear of the building was used for cabinet and general wagon repair while the top floor was used for painting the buggies that would make their way up via a pulley system. Other businesses which thrived inthe building include an antique shop, florists and gift shops. In 2001 it officially became The Franklin Grill and Tavern.
