It was a cold and dark Thursday night. I had l just gorged myself at a local restaurant and was having a beer at the Lazy Hiker. What happened next? A gentleman walked through the nearly empty brewery with a tray of cups full of piping hot soup. Loaded baked potato soup with green onions and bacon sprinkled on top. It was really delicious. The potato base was dense, creamy and loaded with sour cream flavor. Perfect for a cold night. Why did I eat it on a full stomach? It was like a beautiful savory dessert beckoning me and I’m a bit of a foodtruckophile; I just can’t say no to a great food truck. Fork in the Road is one of two food trucks located in Franklin. It’s home base is the parking lot at Lazy Hiker. So far, I’ve not been lucky enough to hit them on regular hours. Can’t wait to try something else.

Sitting right next to a brewery, it’s prime real estate for this food truck. I guess they change up their menu, so today they had a turkey wrap and pulled pork sandwich. My husband and I split the turkey wrap and had some chips and salsa. The salsa is super hot(a good thing!), and the potato salad is really tasty. The wrap was good as well. They had just opened, so it tasted wonderfully fresh. Wasn’t a huge fan of the sundried tomato relish, but otherwise great!
