We’re brewing great craft beer in the mountains of Western North Carolina. In our little town of Franklin, we have a beautiful new brewery sitting out back of our comfortable taproom. Step outside and you need only look around to see the high mountains of the Southern Appalachians stretching out before you. Some folks around town are thru-​hiking the Appalachian Trail. Some folks are tourists come up from Atlanta. Some are seasonal residents from Florida. For those of us fortunate enough to live here year-​round, we take it slow, enjoy the mountains in every season, and enjoy our craft beer. We’re Lazy Hiker.

History

Established in 2015.

Lazy Hiker Brewing Company is a craft brewery way up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We started as a dream to bring something new and beneficial to the town of Franklin, NC which we love. After the idea was set to paper and a plan was drawn up, we went to the community to help make it a reality. We moved in to the former Town Hall and Fire Department, completely renovating the space into our brewhouse and taproom. We’re brewing great beer in downtown Franklin, NC so that you can relax and enjoy it wherever you are. If you’re in town, stop in and try some of our beer in the Taproom served by of our fantastic staff. Take a glance out back and watch our brewers work their magic on our 15 barrel brewhouse. We’re only a short hike off the trail.

Manager

Noah McIntee is the Head Brewer and brewery architect of our project in the mountains of Western North Carolina. With previous experience as Director of Brewing Operations for two 15 barrel brewpubs and years of brewing under his belt, Noah has established our brewery for success as a company and community partner.
