I really like this place. An older gentleman who loves to cook, bought a bar, and caters to blue collar customers. The American dream.
Jimmy’s is a small place with about 15 bar seats and about 10 tables. The grill and fryer are right behind the bar so you see almost all of your food prepared right in front of you. I love that.
The owner Jimmy really puts out a big effort and takes a lot of pride in the food he puts out and it shows. Delicious sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and burgers. He also has specials daily. All great.
This is the kind of place where it’s a bar that serves quality food for inexpensive prices. The best places.
So as a regular guy, if you want to grab a PBR draft, a homemade roast pork sandwich and watch a game then you’ll enjoy Jimmy’s.

All the 5 star ratings you see here are obviously bias ratings posted by loyal bar flies that frequent this joint. They managed to fool me though with all the pics of food, etc, because we went here to try it last night. To our surprise, this place is just a tiny BAR. Yes, a bar ! You walk in, theres a room to the left with pool tables, a couple of high tables in the middle of the walk in area, and the noisy crowded bar to the right. It’s very small inside, and room for about 3 cars to park on the street. It is not even close to the descriptions, and the food pics were obviously taken from a different place. One pic shows an interior of a completely different place. DON’T GO… It’s a scam. We walked out before we got mugged.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Very clean great atmosphere food was cooked to order and worth the wait — will definitely return when in the area again.

Yum. Seriously good food in a great, laid back atmosphere. Oh and the cosmo is not too shabby either :)

This place is awesome. The staff is really friendly and it’s a great atmosphere. Good prices and beer selection. Personally, I think the cheeseburger pizza is out of this world, but everything is fresh and locally sourced, and there seems to be something on the menu for everyone. 5 stars.

Stopped in for lunch and had an amazing pastrami sandwhich! Everything was fresh and made to order. Awesome seeing the chef cook everything in front of me. Overall great spot!

My brothers and I are from New Jersey. We were in the area for a wedding and wanted to grab a drink in between the ceremony and cocktail hour. The bartender and cook were SO NICE and friendly! Prices were great and the food was amazing. The cook made us something not even on the menu on the house (buffalo chicken egg rolls– original and delicious)! They knew we were from out of town and would probably never come back but they treated us like locals that have been going there for years! Such a great experience, highly recommend!

Stopped by Jimmy D’s due to the good Unilocal reviews. Small place and everyone was very friendly. It was neat seeing the majority of the kitchen right behind the bar. Got a cup of chicken soup which was good and seemed homemade. Also got the wings as i was told the buffalo sauce was home made. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was good, but there was some kind of seafood flavor or smell that threw me off, but it may be just me as I despise seafood. Jim came over and spoke to me for a bit about food, restaurants and smoking meats… Real nice guy and made the experience that much better. I’ll be back for a meatball sub.

We stopped in this past Friday night based on the reviews, WOW what a difference from «the last place that occupied this space» much cleaner, friendlier & more family friendly. A great addition to Franklin. The staff were attentive & friendly, the food was fresh & high quality (we started with the Thai peanut wings (grilled then fried & they were awesome) then we all had chicken parm. sandwich (trust me & just order it!!) cheeseburger & chicken salad sandwich, all came with great fries & pickle. By the way, they have the coldest beers I’ve had in a long time. The only thing they could improve on & with time I’m sure they will, they just need to expand the food menu & I’ll update to 5 stars.

Stopped in tonight with my husband and son based on the previous reviews. Food was made to order and delicious. Jimmy himself, even came out to check on us and confirm the details of our order. We’ll definitely go there again! So glad to find this hidden gem in our home town.

These wings are kick a$$. Jimmy is the man and goes out of his way to make all his guests feel welcome. If you are looking for a casual atmosphere with some unreal food, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is under new management, and if you haven’t tried it lately, it’s worth your time.
The new owners have cleaned up: new floors (no more carpet, gross), painted, a few cool decorations, etc. That made a very good first impression… But the FOOD. GOOD LORD THE FOOD!
This is my 3^rd time here, and every time the food has been just perfect. The menu is pretty typical pub food: wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches. The execution is PERFECT.
Everything I’ve had here has been delicious. The wings. Perfect.
Cheeseburger with bacon and Swiss. Perfect.
Meatballs. Perfect.
Pulled Pork with blue cheese cole slaw. My god.
It may take a while to change the reputation of this bar, but Jimmy D’s has definitely turned this spot around. Stop in for a beer, but don’t miss out on the FOOD!

Awesome wings, they grill and then deep fries them. First time I have seen that done, but I’ll definitely be back for more. The Thai Chili wings were my favorite. They also have hand made cheeseburgers that are really good. They have daily specials and the vegetables are from local farms which is pretty cool.

I stopped in while on a motorcycle ride. The place looks great. I met the owner, super nice guy. Beers were cold, food looked great and the have an internet juke box. Good luck Jimmy!
I recently had the Egglant Rollotini. It beats anything you will get in Federal Hill or the North End. Simply fantastic.

My wife and I had an emergency in Franklin, MA and afterwards I needed a drink and first spot we saw was this small out of the way place: Jimmy D’s. Upon approaching the famous, under new management sign appeared, not good. Well were we surprised. Simple little bar with a owner cook working the grille. He just opened and explained his food offerings were slim.
We shared a chicken parm sandwich that was out of this world, and a small pizza with sausage sprinkled on it. Again, out of this world. Being a big eater and very curious I sampled his meatballs. This guy can cook ! Sauce was outstanding. Looking around at a small crowd I noticed everyone not saying to much, but gulping down what slim offerings there where. Next to me a young man had a hamburger that looked like it was at the Capitol Grille and next to him was a plate of pork chops ! We don’t live anywhere near Franklin, but anytime we venture south I am going directly there. The owner cooks like my mother used to, hands on, towel over his shoulder with several pots going.
