Hertz Rent A Car

We had a prepaid rental which means we where definitely picking up the car yet it was not ready when we arrived. Employee obviously didn’t like to «socialize» on the job. Barely spoke. After we were checked out, THEN he went to get car washed. And by washed I mean it was wet when he brought it back. Couldn’t see through the bugs or smears on the windshield — had to clean windshield and overly muddy door sills myself.
When returning, employee asked about experience and I said car was not ready when we picked up and it was not clean. Reaction: nothing.
Not the Hertz I usually experience.

Got a AAA deal for s week long car rental. Paid for a midsize, supposed to be equipped with cruise control, since we were driving 800 miles. Rented it 3 weeks ahead of time. The car was not ready when we got there at the time we were contracted to pick it up. Counter guy said he was going to run out and make sure it was ready to go. What he did was actually get in the car and drive off. Apparently, at that time, they decided to go fill the tank and clean it out. 15 minutes later, after listening to another counter guy tell a customer why am ex-​employee had been fired, my guy came back and I finally got my car. The smell was awful-​some headache-​inducing scent that was meant to cover up cigarettes and who knows what. After about an hour, the smell of old smoke was toxic.
On top of that, to call a Corolla a mid sized vehicle is a stretch of the imagination. The car actually had NO cruise control. Who even rents cars without cruise control? Stopping along our way to exchange this thing will not be convenient, but that is our only option. Obviously, Hertz doesn’t care enough about their customers (gold members like me or otherwise) to make sure the customer experience is worth paying for.

Horrible attitude and customer service. Had an employee double the day rate because of «supply and demand» for the day. I told him I could book through Expedia on my phone right then for the normal rate, and he said he «simply wouldn’t let the car go for less» than the quoted doubled rate.
I walked 10 minutes to Enterprise.

Customer service at pickup was pretty bad. My car was FILTHY. Like I thought I might be on candid camera bad. Pink hair curlers, dried chili (hoping it was chili), cigarette burns, seat stains, chewed gum… the list goes on. My next day drop off time was 9pm. Apparently they close at 6, though no one bothered to let me know that or show me the drop box. When I returned the car, the gentleman was very kind and apologized, but I wont be back.

I’ve had nothing but a very pleasant experience here each time I go. The cars are clean, the lobby is clean too. I do keep in mind that due to the small location, they usually have only a few people working but like every where else, you have to wait your turn. I tend to go not at their ‘peak’ hours, so there is no wait at all. Like not as soon as they open the doors or ready to close as I noticed everyone wants to ‘Rush’ right in at the same time. They have always been professional and friendly with me but then again, I am professional and friendly with them, which means a lot. I’d rather rent from this location than go to the airport as these people are much easier to deal with. Kevin is one of their exceptional employees & always helpful,

First, I am a Hertz Gold member. Normally, that translates to an above average customer experience. Not at this location! When I arrived to pick up the car, nobody was at the front desk. I heard people in the back talking on the phones, but it took about five minutes before anybody came out, and that was only after I grabbed my own rental car keys. When I returned, I called them because I was going to be right at 12 o’clock, when they closed. I arrived at 12:01 and they were already shut down and closed. They could not even wait one minute for me. So much for «Gold» customer support. If I have a choice, I will not rent from this location again. I did get a great car at a great price, which helps! We will see how much I must pay for that extra minute!

Customer Service is not part of this locations operating procedure. Very time consuming and needlessly tedious.

Should have taken hints from how slow this location operated as well as how dirty a location it was not to rent from here. The agent who helped me completely misrepresented the ability to prepurchase fuel. Go ahead and lock in fuel rate of $ 2.99 and you can bring it back at any level of fullness and any gas left in it will be refunded to you. Read the fine print and it is the opposite. You get charged the full amount if you bring it back only having driven 1 mile or if you bring it back empty. I brought it back with over half a tank left, paid and left. When I tried to question it after the fact the 800# was so rude I had to take a few minutes to calm down and not let it ruin my day.

This location is really lousy… They cannot help you if you got your car from a different branch. Not to mention Jimmy, a hertz associate, was apathetic and not helpful whatsoever. We rented our car from BNA and rented for a week. We ended up keeping the car around 48hrs and needed to return the car to Franklin where they did not help us get our money back but told us to call the branch at BNA, who kept us on hold for over an hour!
Needless to say, if you want to rent a car. GO TO ENTERPRISE, where no matter what branch you’re using they can help you and fax if necessary whatever it takes to give you what they owe you.

We enjoy renting from Hertz when we go out of town and don’t want to take our own car. This location is nice because you don’t have to drive to the airport. We have found that their cards have more miles than at the airport. Also, it is hard to get upgraded so reserve the car you need.
