Chosun BBA teaches tae kwon do lessons for students ages 3 years and up. Tae kwon do is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, most popularly seen in the Olympics. It is also a traditional martial art form that helps students develop discipline and focus as well as helping students to get in shape, build confidence, develop balance and coordination as well as learning how to defend oneself. For children, it is especially wonderful to help develop valuable Life Skills which will help them become successful in all endeavors of life.
We have a huge selection of classes, both in group and private formats, as well as belt-specific and for all belts combined. We have MANY families that train as well. There is an option for families to train in their age specific classes (adults with adults, kids with kids) at the same time or they can train together in the same classroom.
Tae Kwon Do is a wonderful way for families to bond with each other while developing individually.

Joe has been teaching Tae Kwon Do since college in the early 90s, running schools in Beloit and Janesville, WI. He became a 6th degree Black Belt in 2013, after 25 years of training. In 2013 Chosun expanded its school size adding on an extra training floor to accommodate for the growing student population.
Chosun Black Belt Academy is a licensed Tae Kwon Do facility that offers its members a safe, clean environment in which to practice Tae Kwon Do. The facility is complete with a fully matted training floor, full-length mirrors running the length of the training floor, changing rooms and a martial arts Pro Shop, in addition to a large lobby for parent viewing of the classes.

I have been teaching the art of Tae Kwon Do since 1994 throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. I started training in Tae Kwon do as a teenager in order to learn self-defense. What I quickly found out was that this activity was helping me to feel more confident about myself. My self-esteem was much better, and I started to feel strong as an individual.
I continued my training throughout college at Northern Illinois University, which is when I discovered my love for teaching. By the time I had finished college I was in charge of teaching a campus TKD club as well as a University-accredited TKD course. I finished college with a teaching degree in secondary education and immediately began my apprenticeship for instructing Tae Kwon Do. Since that time I have been promoted to the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt and have been teaching TKD full-time ever since.
I love sharing TKD with those who are willing to study it as I know that they will benefit from it as I have.
