If your looking for a reliable car that’s not going to break the bank this is the place to go. Brian and his staff are very friendly and it’s a much better experience than going to one of the big dealerships. There is a reason he has been in business for so many years!

We recently purchased a car for our college age daughter, but wanted one nice enough to follow her after college next year. O’Connell’s cars were very clean and the process was easy. The price was fair. They don’t really negotiate, but will drop the price if it is on the lot for long enough. They gave us a fair trade-​in for her old car. We noticed a few small issues after we drove it for a couple of days and they went back over it and fixed all. O’Connell will be our first stop when our next daughter needs a car.

No frills used cars and a very straightforward attitude. I’m somewhat happy when places don’t do the negotiate the price down/​haggle with warranty paperwork and unnecessary upgrades. Here, you simply get what you see. I went in here over the weekend and Ed provided excellent customer service. Although it was raining, he was out and about making sure that I had a chance to test drive any car that I was interested in. I made a deposit on a Honda Accord because I knew it would sell very quickly, but it has not been inspected by their mechanic yet and they told me to come back on Tuesday of the following week to seal the deal. I was able to locate another car and bought it today (Monday) and I gave them a call about the deposit. They happily refunded my deposit and welcomed me back to take a look at their cars the next time I am in need. They seem like genuinely good people and I would definitely give them a shot for our next vehicle. After visiting/​communicating with a few slummy dealerships, my faith in humanity was restored at O’Connell Motors!

If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. I have never bought a car here but I have put deposits down twice. Their used cars are in very nice shape, and I can tell they make a strong effort to please their customers. Although I haven’t been through the full purchasing experience, I trust their staff. Very nice people. There are 2 reasons I can’t give it 5 stars. 1) Their prices are at full retail, or above full retail. You can use just about any trusted online resource to determine FMV and they are consistently higher. Very nice, clean cars no doubt. This in itself is not a big problem, until you read about reason #2. 2) Their prices are not negotiable. Both times I put down a deposit, and Brian was not there (usually the weekend) so I had to come back during the week to close the deal. The first time he would not budge on the price and same with the second time. It was at this time I learned his prices are fixed. Now, businesses can set a pricing strategy any way they like, I just wish I was told up front before putting down deposits and being inconvenienced to come back.
