I wanted my girlfriend’s 30th birthday party to rock, and Gear Connection definitely made that possible! I rented the Small Event PA package, and Dance Floor Lighting Sys Plus package; I didn’t know much about equipment, but the professional and knowledgeable staff helped me understand how to get the best performance from both systems. The PA system had the entire house bumpin’ and people dancing all night, the lighting and fog created a fun and energetic atmosphere! Both packages were very affordable and came with high quality/​easy to use equipment. The overall experience was great and I would definitely recommend GC to anyone looking to make their party amazing! I’m still receiving compliments on the party.

I hired them to provide equipment and service for a private acoustic rock concert at my house. Chris was amazing! He came, set up, made sure the sound was perfect throughout the concert, cleaned everything up like he was never here, and looked like he had a great time. He made this process extremely easy. I used Gear Connection for the first time last weekend to rent additional sound equipment for an outdoor event I was DJing. Not only were they very patient and professional on the phone, but they helped give me advice on what equipment to rent, and what type of speakers would sound the best for my event. On the day of the gig, all the gear had been set aside and was ready to go. They hooked the speakers up to verify each was in working condition, and even threw in a couple extra cords I might need, as well as the dolly to transport the speakers. I was very impressed by their professionalism and attitude. These guys were awesome. The speakers performed as advertised, and everything sounded clear and super loud. Thanks again, I will definitely be back.

Rented DJ Equipment from them. Cheapest equipment in the greater Los Angeles area, easy to rent from. I was late returning the equipment and they actually kept the store open an extra hour on a Saturday so that I wouldn’t have to pay a late fee!!! Thank You guys, you’re the best!

They handled their services professionally and were eager to show us all their gear from sound equipment, fog machines to party lights, mics and sheet stands. They had all we needed for our party with one day’s notice and when we came to pick up the equip the next day, we were still able to get more stuff. You can check out all they have online, they have some great packages. Just be sure to have proof of id and all that good stuff because they will have some paperwork ready for you when you’re set to check out, but I’m sure that’s standard of all rental equipment services. Thanks so much guys for all your help! We will most def be back for our future sound/​lighting needs. :)

So… I’m not qualified to really comment on the sound equipment, BUT it rocked the house at my wedding and it was VERY reasonably priced.
Music is very important to me, as I wanted to dance into the reception room to Britney Spear’s «Baby One More Time» for my grand entrance. We only used two 15 inch speakers to amplify the music for 300 people, but boy did it make an impact. Yes, you can probably get by with the restaurants equipment, but if you want it to be a concert… you’re going to need Gear Connection to help you :)

Gear Connection has always been my source for any equipment needs. They have the largest selection of equipment available. Get anything from a small PA to setups for large concerts. I rent anything I don’t have from them for DJ gigs. They are always cordial, professional, personal and flexible.
Since they are closed on Sundays and need something for Saturday, you do have to pay for Sunday use but you can’t expect everyone to be open 7 days a week.
The only thing I would like to see from them is to expand and update their inventory with newer technology for lighting
