I have to strongly recommend this company for any wedding, Bat or Bar Mitzvah. etc. Roger, at BTB, has been the most responsive, thorough and customer oriented person with whom I have been privileged to work and get to know during the past 4 months. His quick follow up to every little annoying detail and change has been smooth and effortless. Thanks to great customer service Roger! Thanks to Tanya Daniller Newman for the best recommendation! While I have not yet had my daughters event yet, the thoroughness and willingness to work with me on every little detail has been exceptional.

BtB is my «go to» company whenever I cater an event that needs a production team and/​or rental equipment… I LOVE working with John Sugrue and the BtB family… if they dont have it, they will get it for you… they always work well with my and my clients… as a chef who puts on major events for very high end clients, I am never disappointed with the job they do… persistant, consistent, professional & EXPERIENCED is what it boils down to… Ive been using them over the past 6 years for all of my events and EVERY time is just as good or better than the last. I recently worked with BTB for a fundraising event for a local nonprofit in the OC. I worked with Melinda during the weeks leading up to the event, and she was awesome! She responded to my emails promptly and always called me when there was something important that she needed to discuss. Being a nonprofit, our budget was really tight and she was so helpful in helping us get the look we wanted while still staying within our budget. She was honest and genuinely wanted to help me get everything I wanted. On the day of the event, the deliverymen showed up on time and were really helpful for both the delivery and pick up of our rentals. Everything we received was in good shape and I really have no complaints. The event came out beautifully and I would definitely work with them again in the future.

I’ve had issue with service in general on multiple occasions. No calls back on inquiries, no calls back around open orders, waiting an excessively long time to pick up and drop off. They just aren’t a well organized operation. The only reason I’ve used them is because they are close, but if our next experience is like previous ones, it is worth driving further to get better service.

BTB is a full service event production company. I worked with Rachel for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah and she was amazing! My daughter and I connected with her right away and she made the process of planning a big event painless. She was patient and calm and was able to answer all of my questions. She didn’t try and up sell me on anything and would even tell me when she thought that it would be more cost effective for me to do it on my own or go elsewhere. BTB can do anything you need for a special event, work with any style theme and can work with any size budget. They have absolutely everything: furniture, linens, table settings, lighting, draping, décor, props, custom gobo’s and step and repeats. They have an amazing warehouse full of props and if they don’t already have it they will build it for you. I found their pricing to be very competitive and they didn’t give me a hard time if I ever needed to add or remove anything from the order. I highly recommend BTB and would definitely work with them again.

Best event production company around! They have their own custom fabrication department that can make anything you need! Just take a look at their warehouse, it’s filled top to bottom with amazing props you really can’t find anywhere else. Great group of talented professionals =)

This company should be renamed Worst of the Worst. I rented 40 chairs and when I unloaded them from my truck I needed a shower they were so dirty. I also rented a couple of tables that I ended up canceling. They charged me for them anyway. I called the company 3 times and 1 email trying to get a refund for the tables. No one ever responded to me so I had to get the refund through my credit card.

The best part of working with BTB was the final outcome, but even that was a nightmare during set-​up. My husband and I began working with BTB 12 months prior to our wedding, just to make sure that everything was perfect. My husband had worked with this company in the past when his line of work was night clubs. He had a total vision of what he wanted our wedding reception to look like, and I figured that this would make the event coordinators’ jobs at BTB super easy when writing up the quote, pulling all the lighting and doing set-​up.
We began working with Jeanne and Jose A. (I think that’s the first initial to his last name). Jeanne is a very kind lady, and my mom loved her, but she was terribly unresponsive. She would set expectations with us regarding pricing or the day we would see the revised quote, and then wouldn’t hear from her for days to weeks! Yes, we still had enough time to wait for a quote due to the fact that the wedding was still a ways off, but with all the other planning going on, we didn’t want to feel like we had to babysit!
After a while, we requested to work with someone new. We had Jose Farias working with us, and his right hand girl Nicole Azze. To cut to the chase, Jose is a JERK! As my husband was explaining what he wanted the set up to look like, Jose would cut him off and say, «I know exactly what you mean… I got this…» We trusted him the first time he said it, until we saw the quote and sketch, and he didn’t get what we meant at all. We had to re-​explain what we wanted at our wedding, and when he would try to cut in and say again, «I know exactly what you mean…» we’d have to cut him off or talk over him. He’s a terribly unprofessional, I’m Mr. Know-​It-​All, pompous business man (or lack thereof). Furthermore, despite spending over $ 12,000.00 with BTB for all the party rentals, he presumed to charge us another $ 75.00 for CC fees 2 weeks after the event had taken place, and then threatened to send me to collections only 5 days after sending the new charges. The worst part about it was that he didn’t share the theat to collect information with me — he gave it to my RECEPTIONIST where I WORK because he was too mad to talk to me! Really? Over $ 75.00? Have a cow, buddy! I really never cared for that guy, but I especially don’t like him now!
On a lighter note Nicole was great. We loved working with her, because she REALLY listened to us, and shut up Jose Farias when appropriate. She was in contact with us for all e-​mail correspondance, hung out for the set up on the day before and day of our wedding, and was the voice of reason for all of us when we had just about had it up to our eyeballs with the company.
I can’t guarantee that I would reccomend BTB to any of my friends or family, but if you go there, definitely do yourself the favor and ask for Nicole Azze.

BTB Events has been a pleasure to work with through the years. Relying on them as our «go-​to» rental company for all of our large-​scale productions, that require even the most custom items, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have a great A/​V team and we’ve had only the best experiences with their customer service. I would recommend them to anybody, as our company and our clients have had nothing but good things to say about them. It is always a pleasure working with Makena, Robert, Jose, Roger, and the rest of the BTB Team. A+ for their service, every-​time!

Years later and I am still smarting over my experience with BTB. The office is just down the street from my parents, so it seemed super convenient. We wanted to use them for our home wedding and they were, initially, very responsive. My mom and I went in for an initial meeting and were shown some amazing ideas. We walked through the warehouse and got to point out things we liked. However, everything from the time we left that meeting fell short of my expectations. It took forever to get a quote and then it took even longer to get questions answered. Because of the lack of communication, we ended up seeking out and using another event rental company. Perhaps we weren’t desirable customers because we weren’t some large corporate event; however, the experience and feeling I got from BTB is definitely not one I wanted while planning the happiest day of my life (which, incidentally and through no help of BTB, it was). Unless you are throwing a wedding on a Beyonce-​sized budget, you probably should look elsewhere.

I can’t speak on the customer service aspect as our wedding coordinator dealt with BTB, but let me tell you, the end result was simply amazing! They transformed our venue into a fairy tale for our wedding. My wife’s vision was created perfectly. It was obvious that BTB knew exactly what they were doing and they did it as well as it could be done. As far as customer service though, if our wedding coordinator uses BTB, then it must be good!

As an Event Planner I need to trust my vendors. I always have amazing service, great ideas and perfect décor for my events when I hire BTB.
John is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

I stumbled across BTB by chance. I was planning my 40^th birthday and had all these ideas in my head but didn’t know how to make them happen. I called and spoke with Makena. I made an appointment for the next day. The showroom and warehouse was AMAZING. I couldn’t believe all the awesome things they had. After speaking with Makena and John for a few minutes, I realized that they understood exactly the mood, and experience I wanted for my party. The customer service was outstanding from the beginning all the way through till the end. Every person I dealt with was friendly, courteous, and professional. The attention to detail was wonderful. Any request or question I had was answered within minutes. My party was «fabulous», «off the hook», «very impressive», «tight», «best ever»…just to quote a few of my guests. I couldn’t have asked for a better party! Makena was the greatest and I will definitely use BTB for future events.

I’ve worked with other event planning groups before, but BTB is truly the best!!! The staff is extremely professional and does everything to help ensure you have a successful event. If you are looking to create an amazing event… look no further.

Yes, the end result was awesome… the draping and lights that were set up by BTB for my wedding (2−26−11 at the Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach) were beautiful… honestly, this was the ONLY saving grace for this review…
I’m going to be blunt… THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!
I was referred to BTB by one of the event /​catering /​sales people at the Hotel Laguna. She told us that these people will be able to do pretty much anything in the goal to make the reception space as beautiful as we wanted. She also told us that BTB had worked with the hotel for a few events and even showed up some pictures of some of the set ups they did in the Laguna Room (the place where the reception was held). After a few calls, we made an appointment to meet with two representatives from BTB (Monica and Selina) at the hotel to go over what we wanted to do.
The meeting went really well. We went over the plans… Monica and Selina both took down plenty of notes and took MEASUREMENTS (this is key to know for this review). We wanted BTB to cover up these ugly pin-​boards with some draping (as we saw in one of the pictures of some of the past work BTB did at the hotel). We left the meeting to go finalize the quote with Selina back at their warehouse /​offices in F.V. We left the meeting feeling really pleased with what the possible out could be and the amount of detailed information both Monica and Selina took down. Soon after we got our deposit down and signed the contract.
About 3 months away from our wedding we were needing the MEASURMENTS for those pin boards. Knowing that Monica and Selina both measured the pin boards for the draping that was going over them, I sent an email asking what those measurements were…
I got no answer back. So I tried to email both Selina and Monica…
nothing…
I had my fiancée call Monica and leave messages…
not a phone call back…
Fed up with the lack of communication, we went to our wedding planner and gave him the task of getting in touch with either one of these «representatives» from BTB. He did get a hold of Monica once and she promised he would be getting a phone call back from her…
She NEVER CALLED!!!
This went on for maybe THREE WEEKS!!!
All we needed was the measurement of the pin board… which we knew both Monica and Selina got… or so we thought.
Yes, you guessed it…
THEY NEVER MEASURED THE PIN BOARDS!!!
How did they give us a quote? I come to find out that they were going to cut it to fit on site. Not exactly how we were told this was was going to happen.
One of the last emails we got from Monica really sealed the deal for us. My fiancée sent a rather blunt email airing the fact that they essentially screwed up and would like the matter to be resolved. She went on to say that being how we are investing so much money and trust into BTB, all we ask for is some common sense communication to admit you f’d up and return phone calls /​emails and «right the wrong». We knew that this was a busy time for them (Christmas) but we were paying hundreds of dollars for them to do what we want them to do… we are not snobs, we are really laid back people who just want things to be done right.
Here’s a sample of what we got back :
I know you have called Selina and I asking for the dimensions of the «pin board», and I do not have those dimensions. We only measure the wall length for the pipe and drape. If you want to hang frames from the hotel’s pin board walls, you must contact Hotel Laguna for each pin board sections dimensions, as we do not have those. I did advise you wedding coordinator _​_​_​_​_​of this and told him I would get to Hotel Laguna as a favor to you, and unfortunately PCH in Laguna has been closed due to the rains/​floods.

A) It’s not called a favor, it’s called YOUR JOB!!!
B) the flooding that occurred in LB happened on the 21^st of Dec… I got this email on the evening of the 22^nd… PCH was open later on the 21^st… so it’s BS she couldn’t get there.
Anyway, after having our planner actually go down and visit their location… and countless conversations on the phone with Monica and Selina’s boss, we started working with a new representative who took over our order. Unfortunately this person quit (apparently this happens a lot at BTB… turn over rate is high according to my planner who has worked with BTB before) and we got our final representative Jennifer Becker, who took care of our order until the end.
I know we’re not a high profile company but our money is just as valuable. We got the run around and yes, things were beautiful in the end but you can’t blow people off like that.
If you go with BTB, stay clear of Monica and Selina. Don’t let them try to screw you like they did to me. Stand your ground and fight back!

BTB’s décor for First & Hope’s Valentine’s Day was superb. If I had known about them sooner I definitely would’ve looked into them for the holidays.
Couldn’t review just First & Hope without commenting on BTB’s input for making a super successful night. The décor, the ambiance, and the fun red-​carpet photo-​opps all tied in for a fabulous night.
Definitely will keep BTB in mind for future events!
