Specialties

Our office specializes in straightening and realigning teeth with braces. We offer two brace options either standard metal brackets or a porcelain brace which is less noticable. Invisalign treatment is also available which aligns the teeth using serveral plastic retainer trays. We also can correct minor movement with adjustable retainers.

After treatment is completed we offer a few retainer options: standard hawley retainers, clear plastic retainers, and/​or a permanent bonded lower retainer. Whitening trays are also available.

Business Owner

Dr. Karich is the father of four sons, and resides in Surfside, California. He is active in his community and church. You might catch him up in the sky, as he is passionate pilot or cruising Huntington Beach while riding his motorcycle to work. After earning his diploma as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Nebraska, Dr. Karich furthered his love in dentistry with a specialized diploma in Orthodontics from Loyola University, a college of dental surgery in Chicago. Throughout his career, he has practiced in Colorado, Hawaii, and here in Southern California. Dr. Karich is a Diplomat of the American Association of Orthodontics, a proud member of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Karich is wonderful. He put braces on me back when I was in junior high and made my teeth PERFECTLY straight. Recently I went back to him after my teeth started shifting because I had to stop wearing my retainer. He had a «positioner» made for me and it moved my teeth back into position within a few weeks! No one I’ve told, including my regular dentist and my periodontist has heard of a positioner. Dr. Karich is skilled and well-​informed!

Dr. Donald Karich was my Orthodontist many years ago and is now my 10 year old daughter’s orthodontist. The best testimony of his work are my very own teeth. I still have same perfect smile I had when he took my braces off 20 + years ago. If you are looking for a Dr. that has unbeliable experience, who cares and knows his profession and… YOU WANT A BEAUTIFUL SMILE… Dr. Karich is unmatched. His staff are very caring and knowledgeable. The office environment is welcoming and easy going which made my daughter feel very comfortable.

As someone who is highly concerned with his appearance, my dental work is very important to me. I have been looking for the right place for invisalign at the right price for months now. A friend of mine from OC recently recommended Dr. Karich to me since she had sent her daughter there with great results so I decided I’ll take a chance. My friend spoke so highly of his work and his prices were phenomenal. So far I am very satisfied with the results which are coming along quicker than I had expected. I am getting so many compliments so far on my smile and you cant even tell I have Invisalign. Very friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend Dr. Karich!

A few things that make me think twice (or more than twice) about my decision with this orthodontist office:
— the staff are constantly chatting with each other. sometimes their focus is more on their conversations than on the patients
— the orthodontist sometimes doesn’t wear gloves when he’s touching his patients’ mouth
— the orthodontist doesn’t read the patients’ chart before he sits down with them, so he doesn’t know what the status of the patients’ teeth is
— their business hours are inconvenient. they close on tuesdays, the weekends, and on the last monday of the month. on days that they’re open, they’re open from only 8−5… i’ve once been told by one of the employees that they’re open on holidays. i’ve found that this is a lie when i tried scheduling an appointment on two holidays that have recently passed. a word of advice to the workers: don’t promise anything that you have no knowledge of
— they charge to change the color of the bands if its on a day when you don’t have your regular checkup

I drive all the way from Corona California every month to see Dr.Karich. Being a dental assistant since 1997 I can tell you that he is worth the drive every month. Patients are treated like family and it is such an enjoyable time. We talk, we laugh, we watch tv! Most importantly he has done an amazing job on my smile. I will be sad when my treatment is done.
