CAVEAT EMPTOR or let the buyer beware when it comes to this operation.
They have zero customer loyality. I have been a customer for 6 years and have spent over $ 1,500 in work on my computer, having then install extra ram, word processing software and several backup systems.
Yet, when I wanted them to adjust and check some of the software they had previously installed they would NOT HONOR THEIR PREVIOUS WORK.
When the economy was bad they were glad for any and all customers. Now that the recession is over they only want to do data retrieval, where the big money is.
After Alfonso told me he could no longer help me, a 6 year customer, I asked him who he recommended to service my computer. He told me that they did NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE.
As I said before, they have ZERO CUSTOMER LOYALTY AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!

I want to say thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! I went to another place and was told they were not able to detect my hard drive and others quoted for a pretty high price, $ 700-​$ 2,500!!! Glad to have given this place a chance!
Professionalism is a must and that was definitely not missing. The process from start to finish was quick and easy. I came in and told him I wasn’t able to access my hard drive and asked for a quote. He ran a quick test to see if it had a mechanical problem. Since it didn’t show any signs yet, he quoted me for $ 300 and I was hoping that was all it cost… He told me he was going to need to run a whole evaluation and that could take up to 24 hours… Since it was already Thursday I was pretty bummed that it might not be ready until Monday or perhaps even Tuesday. He asked me a few questions and wrote down some notes. He gave me a carbon copy of what he wrote. On it… it said quoted for $ 300 and process 2 – 3 days… HOWEVER!!! He gave me a call the very next day and said that he was able to retrieve 100% of the data and that there were no mechanical problems!!!
DO NOT let the small amount of reviews steer you to another place to get your data retrieved. There is a reason why this place has not gotten a bad review. There is absolutely nothing bad about it!

I was trying to access some files in one of my internal storage hard drives until it started hanging and then realized my hard drive was failing. I’ve never had a hard drive fail on me before and did not know what was happening. I ran some diagnostic tests on my computer and it failed all of them. I brought my hard drive here and Alfonso basically explained what was happening in my HD. Very professional place with great customer service. He even told me of a great software to store my data so this won’t happen again. I would definitely come back if/​when another HD fails and will definitely recommend my family and friends here. It costed me $ 300, but I did not have to replace any parts in my HD. Price varies depending on if they need to replace anything in your HD.

I woke up Tuesday morning to a black screen on my computer. I immediately panicked when I realized my computer wasn’t recognizing the hard drive.
I ended up taking my computer to an IT specialist who told me he couldn’t access the data on the hard drive either. Fast forward to Thursday when I picked up my computer with a new hard drive and my old hard drive in hand hoping that I could find someone else to recover my data.
That someone else ended up being Al. I am so grateful that I found him on Unilocal.I was desperate to get my data back because I am a bookkeeper and I had a lot of important files that I needed to get access to.
I called him Thursday morning and took my hard drive to him right away. He gave me a written estimate and said that he should have an answer for me as to whether he could access the hard drive or not within 24 hours.
Friday morning I received the good news that he was able to recover the data. Al was so great! He charged me exactly what he quoted me plus he was quick. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone that finds themselves is a pinch with a failed drive.

I took my computer to Cyber Electronics to see if they could recover my data from my hard drive that crashed. I was prepared to pay a fortune which stressed me out, but no matter what I had to retrieve my files because I am a photographer and need to have my clients images. I took it to a place by my house and they couldn’t do anything with it. So I took it to Cyber and they had my computer for about 3 weeks but that was more my choice because I wanted them to pull whatever they could off of my drive. They know what they are doing they managed to save about 97% of my images and documents. It takes a while to recover data from a drive that is damaged so I suggest you have patience and faith these guys are good. They will explain every process to you and tell why certain things are happening. They are very professional. I only paid $ 400. Thank you so much…

The best service ever. Both my drives had mechanical issues and I was quoted 900 from a supposedly cheap place to fix one drive. Alfonso gave me a deal to fix both my drives to 900. Both had mechanical issues but one had condensation and was in really bad condition. The first drive took a couple days and the second one took 3 weeks and I pretty much gave it up for loss but he called me up and said he got everything back. I tried to freeze that drive but apparently that made it worse and was told that only works on old drives not the newer ones. If you ever lose over 10 years of videos and photos and want good service and price, go to Cyber Electronics and they will hook you up. I still can’t believe that got everything back!!!

If anyone has operated an external hard drive, you know that these devices start to act funny after a few years. My 1.5 TB external hard drive was not recognized as a connected device on my laptop operating on Windows 7. Needless-​to-​say, my wife and I have 5 years + of pictures & important documents, which CANNOT be loss. I am fortunate enough to research & find Cyber Electronics as a nearby company that specializes in data retrieval. Al Sanchez, the general manager, is very knowledgeable and professional, who will ask specific questions on the problem, what trouble-​shooting techniques you have tried, and quote you a one-​time price to problem-​solve the issue. The other additional cost outside of the quoted service is that you will have to provide a new device to transfer the saved data. I work in sales and deal with contracts daily, and the work-​order form does have a simple Non-​Disclosure clause; so, this should alleviate your concerns on the privacy of the data that Cyber Electronics will be exposed to. Al saved our most-​precious data, our pictures, and made my wife very happy. I highly recommend Cyber Electronics if you need to save important data from a non-​functioning hard drive source.

I found out that my external hard drive stopped working a month ago when my computer asked if I wanted to reformat. I was really worried that I had lost all my pictures and data from the past twelve years. I was looking for a company that could try to recover my data. After reading a few reviews, I decided to try Cyber Electronics. I took my drive in on Friday and was told I would be contacted that day. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the call with good news that my data was retrievable and would be ready to pick up the next day if I agreed to the price. I had learned that data retrieval can be expensive. I thought the price was fair and service was excellent! I would recommend contacting Cyber Electronics if you need assistance with recovering data. I recently had a problem with my hard drive. I’ve been to different data recovery center and computer stores but all of them quoted me a lot!!! It was very very expensive. However I found here from Unilocal and they helped me with great price!
My external hard drive recovered everything! EV~~ERYTHING!

I was SO happy with the service at Cyber Electronics! My Macbook’s hard-​drive crashed & Apple told me that I would lose all my data on it. I was horrified! They suggested that I go to a data recovery place to see if I can get it back… I had searched so many data recovery places & they were all $ 700+! I was very happy with the service here. I got the dreaded blue screen. Took my desktop in, they kept it for a few days until they could replicate the problem (which was random), fixed it, tuned up my computer and charged me a fair price. I got a 60 day warranty for the repairs. They called when they said they would and kept me up to date. Made some suggestions about what I might want to do (ie replace Vista with Windows 7) but didn’t try to sell me anything.

I found Cyber Electronics using Unilocal.My hard drive (Western Digital) completely stopped working last week. We had 9 years worth of pictures and information stored and it was our ONLY backup.
I took it to a repair shop in UCI Center and was informed that it was a lost cause. I didn’t believe him so I took it to Best Buy. Best Buy couldn’t do anything either! I had 2 more IT friends look at and all came back with the same answer: there was nothing they could do. Just as I was coming to terms with losing all of our pictures I searched on Unilocal.And I found Cyber Electronics.
I called them on a Wednesday afternoon and Paul (the VP) was so helpful and told me that he would do a free diagnosis. I drove to their location within the hour and left my hard drive with them. In our 10 min conversation he explained to the possibilities of why it stopped working and showed me examples of how they could fix it. He gave me an initial estimate of how much it would be if they could save my files.
He called Friday morning with the best news I’ve had in the last week. He was able to recover ALL the files! It was nearly 100,000 photos and over 120 GB! And the best part was that the cost was lower than what he quoted me.
Over the weekend they were very responsive in all our phone calls and questions. They called when they said they would call and kept all their commitments they promised us. By Monday afternoon I walked out of their office with all my holidays, birthdays, wedding, school work, etc… pictures in my hands.
Every penny I spent was worth it to get our memories back and what made it better was people like Paul and their president that CARED and TRIED to fix my hard drive!
I’ve already recommended them to my closest friends and co-​workers! Their price, their work ethics and service is top notch!

After my Western Digital external drive died and took thousands of family pictures and videos with it, I searched for a local data recovery firm in Orange County who could recover all of my data for a reasonable price. It was a great relief to find Cyber Electronics to solve my problems.
Unfortunately, Cyber Electronics was not the first place called. After calling various data recovery vendors (some of whom although highly rated on Unilocal,quoted over one thousand dollars), I settled on a vendor in Irvine that claimed they did «everything» in their shop in Irvine. When I handed them my drive, they did not provide me with a proper receipt and the unprofessionalism didn’t stop there. They quoted me deadlines they couldn’t keep and then went berserk when I attempted to document my delivery of additional equipment to them. They refused to complete the job and I had to wait for my drive to be FedEx’d from San Diego back to me. I was told it was sent to San Diego because they «didn’t have the right part» in Irvine (I thought you did everything in Irvine?) What a waste of everyone’s time.
Very fortunately, I called Cyber Electronics and explained my situation. More importantly, Cyber Electronics quoted me a price which was ONE HALF the price of the Irvine data recovery company and at least ONE HALF the price of other quotes. And it was apparent that Cyber Electronics did not send their drives out. The guys at Cyber Electronics were very knowledgeable about the various drive brands and their reliability, as well as various backup strategies. They provided me with a detail quote and receipt with the signature of the tech. I felt comfortable with their service and procedures.
My data was completely restored by the guys at Cyber Electronics by the deadline quoted (initial assessment was done within 24 hours). Did I mention that they charged me HALF as much as the other guy almost did? I felt extremely lucky to have done business with Cyber Electronics and highly recommend them to anyone who needs their data recovered for a reasonable fee.

I had a hard drive crash so I sent it to a place here in LA at first. It was a simple recovery but they quoted me $ 2100 to recover the data. I found Cyber Electronics about 45 minutes away and they charge $ 700 flat rate. They recovered my data no problem. I searched around (extensively). They are the best bang for your buck. Save yourself the hassle if you have a hard drive crash and contact these guys. Hopefully you’ll never need them!
