Our wildly creative teaching techniques for Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and other Dance styles for Kids ages 16 Months to 16 Years, is what makes our classes the most popular dance studio for toddlers and young children in the US. The non competitive atmosphere, the use of hundred’s of props and costumes, along with the small class size allows children to tap into their imagination in a way vastly different from most other dance schools. Creation Station students don’t really realize they are learning traditional technique while in class. Because of the way the syllabus is set up, most kids and their parents just think it is all fun and games! Along with learning basic terminology and specific movements geared toward ballet, tap, hiphop, toddler dance, and many other dance class types, Creation Station takes a developmental approach to teaching. We have realistic and age appropriate expectations for the children.

History

Established in 1992.

Creation Station was launched in less than 700 square feet of space in Sherman Oaks, California when a great need for a quality, age appropriate, and magical outlet for the youth of Los Angeles was recognized. Enrollment doubled within the first six months, and over the past 22 years expanded to 14 locations in Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, the South Bay, Orange County and New York. Creation Station was developed to represent the cutting edge in girls and boys dance and movement. Differentiating Creation Station from any other dance studio in the world is the unique curriculum developed over the past 22 years, which utilizes a proprietary syllabus, weekly themes, and lesson plans for children 16 months through 16 years.
