Description

Specialties

Giclee Printing, Art Reproduction, Hi-Resolution Image Capture (a critical service for artists… never release your paintings without first storing away a hi-res file for future reproductions). We also do mounting, stretching, and framing. Highly skilled at color correction and proof processing phases of art reproduction.

And all the giclee printing skills required for quality art reproduction are also applied to photographs.

We work from any image in any form… old prints, negatives, transparencies — we have even worked with tintypes and glass negatives! Or how about those small strips of photos you got in that booth at the fair? If you have an image that is important to you for any reason, bring it to us. We can help you decide what should be done to preserve it and/or reproduce it.

History

Established in 2000.

We began our business in a shop on Brookhurst and Ellis in Fountain Valley, serving artists and photographers (professional and amatuer). After about ten years, we moved to Brookhurst and Talbert in Fountain Valley, where we are today.

As one of the early pioneering giclee printers, we initially worked mostly with photographs (although our very first customer was an artist) — then we began working with artists more and more, developing the skills, the eye for color, the techniques and the specialized processes that produce fine art reproduction at the highest level. Today, you can be assured that you will not find a more competent, dedicated, caring giclee printer anywhere, or one that uses higher quality materials, specialized processes, or is more committed to your satisfaction than we are at Canvas Photo Giclee.

We invite you to drop in and see the process anytime. And bring your art or important images to discuss how we may help you preserve and/or reproduce them.

Meet the Business Owner

Mike R.

Business Owner

Having spent many years in the high-tech world of computers and eventually as Product Marketing Manager for major worldwide disk drive manufaturers, Mike has the background and temperament to carefully and methodically approach any complex process. He also has an artistic side, although never as a professional. As an amateur photographer, carryng a camera throughout his travels, one develops a fair eye for composition and color, light and shading. But not being a true artist (in the vein of oil paint artists or watercolorists), Mike is in awe of those who paint for pleasure and profit. One of life’s joys is helping others perform or acheive what we ourselves could not.
