Zen Nails & Spa

In hopes of finding my regular nail place I came here to give it a try. I got a full set of acrylics and it was $ 20(pretty cheap) he did a pretty good job, they look a little uneven but that happens.
The downside… Around 5pm I walk in to only one other client there and that’s the prime time for nail places to be busy. I looked past it because I was taken care of quickly. The nail tech doesn’t say anything to me the entire time even when I flinch because he hurt me trying to file my nails. It was awkward because I even tried to speak to him about my nails and he replied with nothing back. Another worker was napping in a pedicure chair and the towel on the nail station was dirty. My nails did turn out okay but the atmosphere was awkward and did not make me feel welcomed. Overall I’m pretty disappointed but if you want something quick, cheap and don’t want to be spoken to at all then it’s worth a shot.

We will NEVER go back to the spa!
I took my sister and niece and her friend to get adults pedi w little design and a ref mani w just thumb design. the girls were under 14 and just got them mani and 1 just polish and other small design. we felt so rushed and i was done before anyone and my sisters mani was not done and by the next morning the polish was off on most of her nails. on top of it all… we never been there and has a 10% off coupon from thier website and she charged us extra. their English is bad and was not HAPPPY!!! We went on a Sunday and was not busy.

I have no idea where or how this place went bad, I used to go here all the time. My husband always got me gift cards to this location and being that I had one from valentines I finally decided to use it May 21^st 2015. I was the very first customer of the day that morning, went in for a pedi and a gel mani! They have a nice selection of colors which may have been the only good thing about this place. Two women worked on me at the same time, and the entire time they spoke to each other in their native tongue gossiping about a relative of theirs (they paused for a moment and told me in English) at first I didn’t mind but they literally talked to each other the entire time! The TV was not even on for me to try and distract myself from their conversation, mind you I couldn’t even look at my phone or a magazine because the other women was doing my mani at the same time as the pedi. If they had payed more attention to my hands and feet perhaps they could have done a better job! It’s been only a week and my gel mani has already began to CHIP from the tip of my finger, & my previous purple toe nail polish was not completely taken all the way off and u can see it on the sides because she didn’t even apply the new nail polish all over the toes, and what she did apply came out all streaky! So disappointed in this place. I wish I had taken a better look at my toes before I left to get them fixed. As far as my finger nails go, who knew they were going to lift so soon! Don’t go here, it’s a waste of time and money and the results will make you want to cry.

I brought my 93 year old motherinlaw in for a manicure and because I am male and
have no idea what the cost would be was taken advantage of by the salesman, He
brought over some nails of different colors and asked her what color she liked and
then told me 30 dollars for the manicure. I thought that was kinda expensive to
clip and paint nails so I looked up there website for prices because there are no
prices listed anywhere in the salon. I quickly found manicures starting at 7 dollars
so I approached him again and asked him about these prices. He told me I had to
pick from some cheaper nail polish and the price would go down. So for 20 dollars
she got the cheaper nail polish, a nail clipping, some body lotion for her arms and
a hot towel to wipe off the lotion and that was the deluxe manicure. I think if
I had it all to do over again just get the basic polish and clipping for 7 dollars the
lotion and hot towel are not worth 13 dollars. Be sure to know the prices going in or
you may be taken to the cleaners.

First I would say the place is very nice and relaxing. First time visiting and being open on Sunday is a life saver. I work on my feet for at least 10 hrs a day and was looking forward to a nice massage. The guy doings pedicure did not deliver and he looked around mostly instead of focusing on the task at hand and it shows my pedicure is horrible and I’m still waiting in that massage. I will give them one more chance considering I believe everyone deserves a second chance, but I will not let that sane guy near me.

This used to be my go to place but not anymore. They have sold and there are all new people there for the most part. Several of the massage chairs are broken. I pay for the pedicures that have more massage and a wet fish could have done better. One day I was there and one of the male techs actually has his shoes off sitting in one of the chairs a customer would sit in and has his feet propped up in another chair that customers sit in. UGH.

My customer service experience was horrible. I took my daughter to get her a full set and I received a pedicure. While I was seated immediately. My daughter was overlooked 3 times, each time I was told she would be next. By the third time, I was furious. The lady doing my pedicure was extremely nice and kept apologizing and even kept inquiring on why this was happening of course the response was never in English. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. Will never return to this establishment.

I am one uphappy lady. Christmas pictures tomorrow, and the nail lady asked what I wanted. I explained exactly. short as possible, lots of white & very little pink. What did i get… Nails that look like a urban stripper all pink, and very little white. When told that it’s not what i wanted the lady (who knew i was on my lunch break from opening conversation) suggested we start over… ARE YOU kIDDING ME?! Then after all is said and done and i have crazy stripper nails completely opposite of what i want… She says it’s 35 $. SERIOUSLY? First of all you make a killing off nail services, and 2^nd… you know i’m almost in tears with how ugly my nails are, and christmas pictures tomorrow… When i tell them i wanna talk to a manager the look over at the obviously oldest lady doing nails and say there isn’t one here. SORRY, iv’e never known a hole in the wall nail salon to not have the owner or manager there. The girl who came to the one who did my nails side looked all of 14, and threatened to call the cops on me if i didnt pay like i felt i shouldnt after receving the complete opposite of what i wanted and the nail tech doing my nails going off on me. I wouldn’t recommend this nail spa to anyone even though the interior is nice and fancy, the techs take no pride of delivering customer service. NO WONDER SHE GOT FIRED FROM TOM TAN & NAIL…(BEST IN DFW HANDS DOWN.) Ill never choose convience over quality again.
