No cover charge to start! Awesome place to go, very diverse and good music! I enjoyed my first night out being a new mom! There is pool tables but we never got one, I don’t do smoking and the guy next to me at the bar basically blew smoke in my face that was the only down fall to the place. But cheap drinks oh and clean bathrooms, I can dig it!

So I haven’t been to this place in like 4 years nothing has changed. Cheap beer and the same usuals. The library is a chain bar just like Petes piano bar there kinda in the every big city but if you don’t want bro break the bank this is your place a shot of tequila and a corona 6 bucks no joke. Wish they had a broader selection of craft beers but you can’t beat cheap beer.

The great drink prices is the only reason I would come here if I lived in Fort Worth, that and my in law loves this place. After visiting The Library I realized how nice it is that Dallas does not allow smoking in many places. The library even sales cigarettes! Whaaa! I also noticed that they don’t carry much local beer. Which is a huge downer. May be a FTW thing or ‘who goes to The Library for a craft beer’ thing, don’t know. Yet, with such low prices I guess you can’t complain. I use to come here when I was 21, even then I thought this place was a little shady but the drink specials kept me coming back, that and bingo night. Do they still have that?

I always love the library. It’s such a chill, good spot. Hate the smoking, but after a few drinks, I don’t really care. Definitely love how it’s not shoulder to shoulder anymore!

If u are looking for your typical Downtown Fort Worth Bar, dont come here. This is more of a quiet hush hush speakeasy. I LOVE this place and w b back. The drinks are CUSTOM made. I had 2 beautiful drinks with Fine tequila, cherry liquor and jalapeño syrup that they make themselves. Was fantastic. They are a little pricey but u get what u pay for. It is eclectic and different and that is what makes it a hit for us. I like to feel like i have different choices and thats what i think Downtown Fort Worth is missing. Great place with great art, a library feel upstairs and an old fashioned pharmacy downstairs. You will see us again! Thank you for ur great customer service.

Love this place. Very chill, laid back, grown & sexy crowd & vibe. No cover. Drink prices are very reasonable. We’ve always had prompt & friendly drink service. No DJ but the music over the sound system is very eclectic and dance worthy. No dance floor per se but people are always dancing either at their tables, bar stools or on the open floor space near the patio. They have pool and tables but we’ve never used them. There is also an upstairs but I’ve never been up there either. We stay posted up @ the bar enjoying the music and the crowd.

hahaha. I just laugh at this place. I’ve had the review in my drafts a while and realized that I should get my opinion out before more folks waste their time. I’m not sure if they what they want to be… a college bar… or a townie bar…’cause you can’t be both. The bouncers are jerks, the service is slow, and the music is blaring. There’s no real place to dance and I got bored pretty quick. The shining light to this place is that the drinks are cheap and the music isn’t half bad. I do want to try it again on a different night.

A popular bar in Fort Worth where all the cool peeps hang out on the weekend. This place is a hit-or-miss for me because there are days where there is a line out the door and other times, nobody is there and I can roam around freely. The one thing that bugs me about coming here is the smoking atmosphere. I hate walking out of a bar/restaurant smelling like smoke plus the smell is just disgusting. So I only come here if my best friend asks me to come. Drink prices are reasonable and shots are very cheap(way cheaper than the clubs down the street). They have pool tables where you can also play with people.

Came here twice and had a lot of fun. Weird there’s no food served here, purely drinks! And cheap too, well compared to Los Angeles. Got 2 shots for $ 6 total on a Friday and I guess Saturday went up a bit cause it was $ 9 for 2 shots, but still cheaper than what I’m used to. ATMOSPHERE: No live DJ, just a play list, but they had good music. No one really danced, other than us and a couple other people who joined in. But there is a lot of space to dance. Has a couple of booths along the walls and a patio area to sit on. Clean bathrooms is a plus.

Cheap drinks! Our group basically spent the whole night drinking $ 3 long islands(kinda weak, tasted like lemonade but hey $ 3). Me and a bunch of people from out of state were in town for a conference and we liked this place because there were cheap drinks and it was pretty big that it can accommodate a big group of us. Sure not many big tables and chairs but in terms of space, it wasn’t like I was bumping shoulders with people to get around. The bar was in the center and it was huge, you can access it from all four sides. They had pool tables downstairs and up stairs. They also have air hockey tables upstairs too. I want to sayy I saw a pinball machine too.

A Fort Worth classic. A good spot to get your early evening drink on before moving on to nearby clubs. Fun. Bartenders here have always been really professional and efficient. A great team, knocking it out so you can unwind.

I’m pretty much a dive bar kind of guy and The Library is not a dive place. However, Library has low cost drinks until 11:00PM, cute and friendly bartenders and a good mix of people(up until 11:30’ish.) So, as I mentioned, this place is great and has nice mix of people from 9:00 — 11:30’ish. Around 11:30 you will have noticed(once you turn around from the bar) that the place eventually gets overun by the younger crowd and the ipod/laptop«DJ» start his mp3 playlist of ‘urban’ top-40. By then, you’ve had your fill of the very reasonably priced drinks, friendly bartenders and people watching and you’re ready to move down the block or down to West 7th. If you’re a younger person(20’s) then you will love this place the later it gets. For old farts like me who played that game 15 years before you’ll quickly get annoyed once the later crowd shows up. However, those first couple of early hours(9 – 11) the place is pretty fun and affordable. Oh, and by the way, this is a bar that you can smoke inside and outside. Thankfully, this bar and Fort Worth has not yet succumbed to the BS of forcing businesses to ban a legal product and the use of it.

Came out here with a friend around 10 on a Friday night — early I guess by Fort Worth standards, because this place was dead. The drinks were super cheap — $ 3 you-call-it’s. We had one drink and decided to bar hop, but we did come back to finish out the night and it was a little more full. I liked the upstairs where the pool table and air hockey were. I wouldn’t say this place is too special, but at least the drinks are cheap.

This place used to be fun and it has cheap drinks. But I’ve stopped going to this place lately because the music has started sucking as they tend to play the same music as dfw radio which is not what I want to hear all the time. But the drinks are still cheap for a place in downtown fort worth.

Thursday night is the only time you’ll find me studying here(ha ha ha). I’m really here for $ 1.25 drinks. It’s easy to con men into buying cheap drinks for you. $ 5 cover without a university ID. Music is good. There is a little area upstairs with pool, foozeball, idk what else is up there. Staff looks like they hate their job. Bathrooms in the ladies room don’t lock because they’re broken.

The best thing about the Library is no cover. I heard the drinks were cheap but I was already done drinking for the night so I didn’t purchase anything and it was late when we walked in. The music was really good and it was oh so crowded but it was Saturday. I expected to see mostly college kids and they were there but it was a pretty mixed crowd. I would go there again especially since it’s free because it’s good for groups.

Cheap drinks, but man this place has gone downhill. My buddies and I used to frequent this place weekly about 8 years ago. Now it’s all a bunch of racist bouncers and douchy frat boys. The bouncers find any reason to keep anyone who isn’t white out. Caps, baggy jeans, lettering on t-shirts, showing colors, etc. This is a casual bar with a bunch of white kids wearing shirts, flip flops, and hats inside. Yet other races wearing an exact same outfit get stopped at the door. FYI: I’m white and still see the discrimination!!! If your group has women in it, expect for them to get pounced on all night. I understand this is full of college kids, but it’s pathetic to see the frat boys flirt when everyone in your party has their spouse with them! Cheap drinks? Yes! Will go again? No, as I cannot support an establishment that is not caught up on today’s times regarding race.

2 things you need to know about this bar. Cheapest drinks in town and racist as hell. We went in on Saturday night about 10:30. Place was jumping, cool atmosphere. One of my buddies had on a hat, and we cruised right thru the bouncers checking everyone at the door. As we began to enter, we heard some arguing behind us, turned around to see the bouncer telling a black guy he couldnt come in because he had on a hat(same style as my buddies). The dude said he would take it back to his car, and the bouncer said it didn’t matter, he wasnt coming in regardless. As we made our way in, we chatted about this at the bar, and lo and behold, as we looked around, we noticed there was not one black guy in the bar. For the record, I am white, my wife is black, my kids are gorgeous, and I do not like any form of racism. We decided to leave. I went to tab out, found out my mixed drink was only $ 2. That made it a little harder to leave because the drinks are so cheap, but I will not support a place like this. Power to All the people!
