Shipping & Receiving is as eclectic as it’s patrons. Original playbills, concert fliers and one of a kind art drape the walls and give this place a modern-​funky feel that is different from other places in Fort Worth. On any given day you can find people from all walks of life sharing drinks and conversations together.
They also have an incredible outdoor concert series in warmer temps and a huge event space inside the building with a full bar and stage to accommodate up to 1500! They host weddings, receptions, private parties and more.
The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I came here for happy hour about a year ago with a friend, and loved the warehouse, speakeasy divey look. It has a real time warp feel to it, feels like a set Tarantino would shoot a movie in. Drinks were reasonably priced. Came a second time about a half year later during the day, and also had a good experience.
Came last night (Saturday) to meet a friend and was the first to arrive at the door. I was greeted by a guy at the door with wristbands saying the cover was $ 12. Shocked, I asked again to clarify. That’s right, $ 12. I respectfully declined and immediately called my friend to rendezvous at another location.
This place is cool, but not $ 12 cool. To be charged a cover like this at a dive seems ironic and self-​defeating. Fort Worth has tons of cool bars and music venues not looking to hose you at the door.

Visited S&R to hear Baltimore’s Western Star play a set a few weeks ago. Western Star are relatives of my lovely wife and we went to support them. I don’t go to venues like this very often, but I should. This place is incredible. Each of the bands that played that evening were outstanding. Beer was cold and very reasonably priced. Patrons were friendly and readily interacted. One Unilocaler used the term «super laid back» and I couldn’t agree more.

I really like this place as a music venue. I came with friends, once as part of the ROCK Co-​op Farmer’s Market and the second time to see Seryn play this past Saturday night. I was surprised to see Sarah Jaffe there, chilling and watching them play.
Their setup is really cool, easy to find, and the bar is super laid back. The outdoor stage area is a little small but I really think that makes for a better show. Since the Wherehouse closed, Shipping & Receiving will be my go-​to see a good show in Ft Worth.

I’ve played here with Backseat Continental and Sub drummed with the King Bucks. This place is AWESOME! I talk from two points of view…
As a musician: Load-​in is easy! You can use the ramp or go straight in the front to the main outside stage. If the weather is bad, no problem! They can set you up on the inside as well. The sound guy knows his stuff and doesn’t come off arrogant about it. He introduces his self before touching your equipment and assures you it’s in good hands if he has to adjust anything. I can’t wait to play here again!
As a customer: I love the fact that they are very diverse and open to different genres of music. They bring in food trucks literally on the inside right before the seating area before you reach the man stage. I don’t drink but I didn’t hear anything bad about their prices or selections. Customer services was great. I tipped the bartender off the simple fact of remembering that I wanted cranberry juice and water on my second visit.
All and all, a great jewel in Fort Worth for musicians and customers alike.

This place is such a gem, I’ve been trying to get the word out! It has a very hipster, back-​alley sort of vibe. You walk up to the outdoor area (any time I’ve gone where there is a band there’s been a cover), and enter what was literally a warehouse. The seating is uniquely random and the bar is perfectly ornate for the industrial setting. Shuffleboard in the back! The staff has always been friendly. I’ve been here with friends and for an industry happy hour, both after work and nighttime visits have been great.

Cool little spot tucked away just south of I-​30 near (underneath?) the Supreme Golf Warehouse lofts. We went to check out the Rhythmaires, a soulful 40s/​50s-​style jazz band, but since the garage door was open and the AC was on, we ended up chilling on the couches inside and enjoying our beers. The décor was rustic. Our table was an old door, and we were sitting on a leather couch that was probably 50+ years old. Pretty sweet/​fitting for the area. Only 16 taps keeps them from the fifth star, but the list is well-curated…I thoroughly enjoyed my Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale! Will be back to check this place out for happy hour.

Awesome bar in south of Fort Worth. Great beer selection with local craft brew on tap or cans, and tons of art everywhere. Our bartender was Sam very passionate of what he does great to see people that care about local craft breweries as much as I do. I can see this place having tons of potential when the area gets more popular. Keep up the good work guys love the art,

Yes please! If I lived in FTW this would defiantly be one of my regular places. I learned of this place when my in law posted pictures of all the art and I was so jelly I wasn’t there! We stopped by on a Sunday night (10 p.m.) after a graduation.
Although, my fiancé and I where the only ones there I can tell it has a great atmosphere even when it gets crowded.
The bartender Sam, is… awesome! We told him it was our first time visiting and since no one else was there, he give us a small tour of the building. Sam has a great appreciation for craft beer, very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I love that! He mentioned they had an exhibition opening last weekend and they occasionally have them. Umm, yes please!
The outside area looks very astounding. A nice sized stage, outside bars, along with a great seating area.
Pool tables, lounge area, and a stunning old-​fashioned bar inside.
Best thing about this place: art installations plus a pretty dapper craft beer selection. I could be here forever!
I’m definitely planning to attend a show sometime soon. Even if it’s totally out of my way.

I went to Shipping & Receiving for the first time this weekend to see Vaden Todd Lewis and I was really pleased with my experience. The bar has a really low key atmosphere, which I liked, and a big outdoor seating area which was perfect on a nice night. The bar staff was friendly and I got served pretty quickly every time I went up there. I guess it’s cool that it’s dog friendly, but there was a dog literally on the bar and a bartender was cuddling the dog. I was afraid that I was going to find dog hair in my drinks. The indoor stage has kind of an awkward set up, which means there aren’t a lot of good places to stand where you can actually see. The sound was good, though, and people were friendly. Well drinks were $ 4 each, which was a big bonus. Overall, pretty cool bar.

My current favorite hang out in Fort Worth. Love the vibe. Bartendress was really nice.
And my favorite part. Shuffleboard. I love shuffleboard! Will be back. Challenge me in shuffleboard!!!
Oh and coffee! They got coffee…

Went to see a couple of bands and had a completely awesome time! Great place to hang out!

I really loved the feel of this place. We went to watch The Brandon Callies band. Really cool venue, and dog friendly? Hello… that’s awesome!

If u can ever get waited on here, I’ll be surprised. I’ve done 4 visits over several months (and I’m done). Robbie is the only bartender that seemed to feel that waiting on customers was their primary job function.

Apparently the bartenders here only serve people wearing sport coats.
I thought this was not that type of place. Greatly disappointed!

I have now been here twice; once on a Friday night during a Thieving Birds concert (I had never heard of them but they were very good) and once on a Thursday after work. Both times were enjoyable at this bar with a relaxed, albeit eclectic, vibe. The bar itself is contained in the shipping dock of the old Supreme Golf warehouse, and while it retains much of its bygone charm, it has also received a fresh coat of paint. The interior is spacious but welcoming. There are a number of comfy couches and tables, and a really long dining room table with maybe 10 seats around it. A carpet with some spotlights shining on it showcases small/​solo groups. A pleasant four-​piece folk band played on the Thursday I was there. Also inside are a pool table and shuffleboard. I’d say the interior definitely has a speakeasy vibe to it.
The large patio has a stage on one end and a rotating food truck selection on the other (Fri. and Sat. only). Open with a decent sound system and not completely packed (at least the Fri. I was there). Also, from experience and hearsay, good bands come through.
For me though, the draw of this bar is not the music or food trucks or speakeasy feel: it’s the weirdness (?). On Friday night, there was an assortment of country boys/​girls, a biker gang (in the tamest sense of the word), hipsters, yuppies, suits, a couple dogs and retirees. It was like a strange, utopian dream… Overall, a bar for everyone (even dogs)!
Also, if you are a craft beer lover, there is none of the typical BudMillerCoors on draft, only good to great craft (Lagunitas, St. Arnold, Odell to name a few) with decent prices (Avg. $ 5.50/pint).

I lucked out when I came on a Sunday night– no one was here. We had great service :) The open concept is nice. The patio is large and has a stage. Chat with the bartenders about the artwork. Look for the stag in the painting above the bar. Catfish makes tasty libations, so hopefully you have him as your bartender. I’ll be back.

Aside from the fact that Shipping and Receiving aims to be a live music-​centric spot, it kind of has a speakeasy feel (a speakeasy with a giant outdoor PA on a sprawling outdoor patio would have been very conspicuous, though…). I’ve been a few times for shows since it opened on Labor Day weekend and it was full of people each time (comfortably full though, not «nowhere to move» full), which is great because it’s in a developing warehouse area of town that doesn’t have much in it just yet– you’re not just going to stumble across it, and kind of have to know where it is to get there. But on regular nights when they don’t have full-​on concerts going on, crowds settle down a little and it becomes a nice, laid-​back and out of the way place.

Cool warehouse… speakeasy style. Yep, that was my tip and I’m stickin’ with it. Really impressed with the historically significant bar, nice amount of space, comfy dark-​leather-​couch-​type seating and especially the old-​school jukebox where one can flip through pages and play great tunes, just like in the 70’s.
A band was setting up on the large stage outside with plenty of seating on the patio; seems perfect for a cool fall evening’s entertainment option.
The drinks were excellent and the staff was very professional and knowledgeable about the place; I think perhaps the owner was behind the bar. Always a good sign.
Another plus in what was once a part of town that one wouldn’t dare venture into after dark.

A diamond in the rough is getting polished up. The Golf Supreme Building has been turned into rad lofts with a bar on the former shipping dock — called Shipping and Receiving, fancy that.
The vibe and décor is hip but laid back. It’s the kind of place you can sink into a couch or chill on the patio. The friendly bartenders will know your name if you come often enough. It is quickly becoming my Cheers.
Drink prices are reasonable but the payment system is a work in progress. Service can be slow on a busy night but the word is kinks are getting worked out.
Come on an off night and expect a grand time. Come on a busy night and bring cash. The mini bar on the patio is the ticket to faster drink services.
