Homewood Suites by Hilton Ft. Worth-North at Fossil Creek

Do not stay here. Seedier part of town. Under renovations. Only one elevator works. Alarm has gone off six times in the last hour. Very disturbing noise. Should not have guests while this major reno is going on. First floor is soaking wet. Roof leaks. Fire Dept is here. What a cluster.

This hotel was ok. The price was right and we needed a king suite. The location was ok and the room was clean but it needed updating. There were a few minor annoyances while we were there. It was hard to find the garbage can in our room, and the walls were so thin that we could tell which song was playing on the radio in the next room over. It was empty, but they keep the radio on a country station to greet you when you walk into your room I guess. It’s a good thing we had a noise machine for sleeping. But they were friendly, they put us on a high floor, there was a small kitchen, there were enough blankets and a variety of pillows, the bed was ok, and the curtains blocked out the light. All in all, not too shabby. Also, checkout is at noon which is always nice.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. As soon as I turned the corner to their road I noticed other low economy hotels. I am not from Ft Worth so I am not sure if this is really a good area. Didn’t make for the best impression. Also, the road construction is ridiculous. It is not the hotel’s fault. This is just a warning to other travelers. I spent way too much time in my car.
I was happy they allowed my dog. The front desk person is nice but not overly nice. I stayed there from Thursday to Monday. I saw that the manager’s office was in the hall way. I thought that was really nice. Very accessible.
I was really disappointed with the rooms. Very rundown. I really couldn’t believe it was my beloved Homewood! The King size bed was very uncomfortable. And the pillows were horrible. All of the furniture is older and dinged. Also, the door between the rooms did not shut completely. I usually shut my dog in another room. HE is very loud when he sleeps, snoring and chasing his next conquest. He was able to push the door open.
I also had problems with the opening the side door with my dog. I had to keep the card in their for what seemed to be a long time.
I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to walk my dog. The front desk person was sitting in the reception area. He did not say one word to me. He was sitting and enjoying himself by the fire.
One of the ladies on the weekend should be the Front Desk manager. She works the first shift and was so pleasant to talk to. She comes off like she cares. Very engaging. Also, some other dayshift maintenance workers were very pleasant. Others were meh.

This is a very nice hotel. As often as I stay in hotels, 52 weeks a year, I am always pleased when I find a hotel that offers plenty of parking, clean rooms, evening receptions, morning breakfast, friendly staff, free laundry and an adequate fitness room. This hotel has it all. When I am in Fort Worth in the future it will be my pleasure and honor to stay and H-​Wood Suites.

Well… the price is good so they get 2 stars. $ 75 per night for a single bed, pull out couch, and kitchen with stove and full size fridge. Looked ok at first, then I walked into the bathroom, the lid had a film (like from hairspray and hair stuck in it)…eeewww…the I notice some boogers wiped accross the door… double eeeewwww… lets move to bed time. I go to pull out the sofa bed… no sheet, just a mattress with a gnarly stain. Look around find sheets… then go to put them on. lift mattress and say «hello» to what looks like it once was a chicken pot pie? Its old and hard… replace that end of the mattress, lift top end and I find a toothbrush and lots of dirty paper towels. I guess so I can brush my teeth after my snack they so kindly left for me? They seriously need to school their cleaning lady… it was GROSS.
