Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Worth University Drive

Comfy and clean suites, located close to the main attractions and restaurants but not a good location for daylight naps or light sleepers because the trains are in the front of hotel. Trains work around 5am-​7pm Monday-​Sunday.

We were told they had actual suites, but that wasn’t the case. We booked the hotel for my God sister’s bridal party because it was across the street from the venue. Wish we hadn’t. Its too small! Next time we will ask multiple times to make sure we’re getting what we’re asking for…:/

My review is for a young staff member called «AJ». I was at this hotel in March when it was snowing. I asked this guy at the desk, «Do you have anything I can use to scrape the snow off my car windows.» He immediately went outside to his OWN car and got the scraper. He was nicely dressed in shirt, tie, overcoat. He got soaked in snow while clearing my car. I kept saying, That’s good enuff ! Go inside ! I tried to tip him $ 20 and he refused, saying, «I just want you to be safe, M’am»
This guy was awesome. You wouldn’t get this kind of treatment at the Ritz Carlton.

So after this whole ordeal the manager, Tammy, emailed me saying how sorry she was and she told me she would add 10,000 points to our Rewards account to make up for our experience. It has been several months now and we have not received the points and when I emailed her about it I was ignored. I was willing to give this hotel another chance but that willingness is gone now. I would steer clear of this place!

Stayed here for a conference nearby. The hotel staff was superb. When our shuttle to the conference was late the GM took a group of us in her personal vehicle to the conference so we wouldn’t be late. From the fresh cookies to luggage storage… I was glad I landed here!

Checked in late last night. Jamie at the front desk, was fabulous & friendly even given the late hour of my arrival. Room was clean, besides the trains horn blowing, I had a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning is very nice. Wearing my Eagles hat in Texas… I was met with nothing but Smiles, Good Mornings & How are you? Very impressed by everyone I came in contact with this morning. Compliments to the management, as well as the staff. Customer service is never easy… making people happy is sometimes harder than it should be. I will be back! Well done! Keep up the Good Work!

This hotel is not good. Let me start by saying it is right next to the highway and a train runs behind it throughout the night. There is a lot of light in the room as well that are bright when all the lights are off. For example, the microwave, the smoke detector, the huge gap between the main door and the hallway, the TV, the clock radio. Rooms are too tight. We got no sleep. The rooms and bathroom need updating, as well as the pool area. Carpet looks bad. The breakfast area is super compact. We just grabbed food and left it was so crowded in the mornings. The one thing it has going for it is location, right next to the river and close to TCU. We’ve stayed here on two occasions and I will not be staying there next time.

You may want to know that construction of a major building is going on 10 feet from this motel. We were awaken at 6:30 am Saturday by bulldozers, drills and hammers.
If you stay here make SURE that you are guaranteed a room next to the river… unless early am wake up is ok for you. It was not ok for our teenagers on west coast time.

Superior staff! Was a pleasant suprise. Clean… friendly…comfortable. Will stay again next time in area. Oh. and close to everything ‘Ft Worth’

Liked this place. I needed a last minute room out-​of-​the-​blue and they delivered. Nothing fancy, but really nice and friendly. Quality rooms. Plus you can walk to Ol’South! :)

Cozy night sleep for the money! Would stay there again.

I am a laid back traveler. I don’t over plan. My bestest, however, is the absolute opposite. It works well for me because I know I’ll be very well cared for and all I need to do is know where to show up and when and it’ll be kick ass.
A «road trip» to Fort Worth meant we just HAD to spend the night, right? Of course! So Megan found this hotel close to all the fun stuff we wanted to do this time, booked and all I needed was to plop down ½.
This was a great little hotel. The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The bathroom was clean and perfect. We had more towels than we could use and the shower was hot and strong.
Sometimes you just want a clean spot to rest your little head after a fun day, and really that’s all we expected– but this turned out to be way better than we imagined. Woot!

When I stay at a hotel near home, I’m usually only using it for the bed. This means I don’t really pay much attention to amenities and I’m all over finding a good price. Because of this criteria, Marriott is the first brand I check. And this version of Marriott went way above and beyond my need for just a bed.
Despite being $ 20 more than normal thanks to the Cowtown Marathon, this Marriott brand brought the fancy. From the welcome gifts of a bottle of water and a tissue paper sack of Hershey’s kisses for a Marriott Elite member (nice touch, y’all!) to the fantastic continental breakfast options (oatmeal *and* fresh fruit in addition to the cold cereal, doughnuts and make-​em-​yerself waffles — seriously!) to the make-​up remover wipes in the bathroom, this Marriott impressed the hell out of me.
Marriott staff is usually very friendly and accommodating and the employees at this location certainly lived up to my expectations. I’m also a fan of the front door only being accessible by a room key after a certain hour and that’s SOP at this location.
In short, the Fairfield Inn & Suites was exactly what I expect out of Marriott and it’s exactly the reason I’m brand loyal. Thanks for the hospitality, Fort Worth!

Great hotel conveniently located off of University Drive and I-​30. This hotel is tucked behind several restaurants but provides walking access to great food, the Fort Worth Zoo, and a great shopping center right across the street. It’s also located directly on the Trinity River, providing super easy access to the Trinity Trails (over 30 miles of nice jogging/​biking trails).
The décor of the hotel was modern and very comfortable — TV’s in the lobby weren’t too loud and there were lots of people just hanging out and reading the paper at breakfast, enjoying the lounge area.
My friends and I booked a King room and a King suite and both rooms were excellent — beds were SUPER comfy, something I’d expect in a 5star hotel. The hotel even provided great makeup remover towelettes, something that most hotels don’t have. The staff was very attentive and friendly and it seemed like everyone was in a good mood!
Dave Moran is the general manager — you could tell he takes pride in his hotel and made us feel very welcome and at home. I would probably prefer to stay at this hotel rather than hotels downtown from now on because of this hotel’s great customer service, prime location, and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended!

Ahhhh perfect stay as always I have been here for many years and as always great place

3.5 stars would work better for this rating. Despite the age of the building and drab outward apperances, the interior was modern and comfortable. As with a lot of hotels, common areas and bathrooms were hard to describe as completely clean. I stayed in both a king executive suite and a standard room with two queen beds.
Staff:
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The housekeeping did a quick, bang-​up job. One thing I did notice, though, was that, despite there being a sign saying to conserve, the housekeeping did not comply. The sign informed guests who wanted to reuse towels to only place those on the floor that you want removed. Not above using a towel more than once, I always hung it up, but the housekeeping still took it, replacing it with a fresh towel.
Indoor Pool /​Hot Tub:
I went down to the indoor pool area for a couple of nights during my stay. The area was nearly always empty, perhaps because of the time of the year. I did laps in the pool and then retreated to the hot tub. The pool was clean and cold, but the coldness wore off once I began my laps. The hot tub appeared dirty and in need of renovation. The chlorine burned my eyes once the jets were turned on. I did not return to the hot tub after my first time.
King Executive Suite:
Roomy and on the 4^th floor (top floor). It was nice and quiet. Living area with couch, coffee table, large flat screen TV, digital A/​C unit. Nice big comfy bed with dimmer lighting above the bed — I particularly loved this feature.
Standard 2 Queen Beds:
Standard room on the 2^nd floor with 2 queen beds and no couch or living area. No dimmer switches above the beds. Flat screen TV, though not as large as the king room. A/​C unit not digital, so it was more difficult to regulate the temperature. Being on the 2^nd floor, there was a floor above me, and it was LOUD. I mean, I couldn’t sleep it was so loud. Whoever was in the room above me seemed to compulsively pace the floor all day and night, and I could hear every last bit of it through the creaky floor /​ceiling. I hated it, and if I return, will request a 4^th floor room.
Location:
I really loved the location, as it was near a lot of nice places to eat. The University Park Village, featuring yummy places to eat and fun places to shop, was right across the street! The Botanical Gardens and Fort Worth Zoo are right down University, as well. And it was just a hop, skip, and jump to downtown Sundance Square.

The rooms here are surprisingly nice for being a Fairfield — I thought they were particularly great for a business traveler. Nice separation between working and living space. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with helping me find directions in the area.
The location of the hotel is not in a aesthetically pleasing area, as it is immediately off the highway. However, it is incredibly convenient to tons of shopping, restaurants, and TCU (only 1 mile away).
Breakfast is free for all guests and the staff does and excellent job of keeping the food stocked even when there are conferences and large waves of people in the morning. The hotel does not sell wine/​beer in the market like many Marriotts do — which is only slightly a downside. There is a Macaroni Grill 30 seconds away so it’s not too disappointing.

I booked this hotel through Priceline, wanting to be in the downtown FW area, and I totally lucked out! My boyfriend and I just wanted a place to hang out for a get-​away, and this was perfect. We were close to all of our favorite haunts: the Botanical Gardens, TCU, Spiral Diner, Sundance Square. It’s located right behind Ol’ South (which is an awesome local restaurant) and Macaroni Grill, so if you get lost in the vicinity (since it’s set off University), just look for those landmarks. Yes, it’s right by train tracks, but I didn’t hear any at night (thank you, A/​C) and actually found them quite pleasant. But maybe that’s just me.
The rooms were cheery, comfortable and clean. (The photos are accurate and give you a great idea of what to expect. No surprises.) Mini fridge and microwave in the room. Free outdoor parking was also a plus. I found the desk attendants to be appropriately friendly, nothing over the top. I was on the 4^th floor, overlooking the parking lot, and didn’t have any problem with noise/​hearing other guests.
We were just looking for a place to lay around and relax, and this hotel definitely served it’s purpose!
