Set up in a bodega, this place does overpriced groceries and beverages alongside underpriced fried food. I’ve not tried the eponymous chicken because the catfish was too tempting not to try. For 5 $, I got two giant fillets barely clothed in corn meal, an underdressed coleslaw, which is to my taste, and some crispety parchingly-​salty crinkle-​cut fries which were well worth the wait. The aforementioned fried chicken, however, is in a heating case, but maybe it’s worth the 3 $. More research required!
