This place closed down. Guess the food was not too good.

Wanted to like this place and help out the local economy. We were the only ones in the place. They only had chicken. The waitress dropped our food off and then went to answer the phone. We had no silverware to eat with. We waited. And waited. I said, «Excuse me, we need silverware» and she put her hand up for us to wait. I thought perhaps she was taking an order by phone and this peeved me as we were their first and our food was getting cold. I went up and she whispered, «It’s my boss.» I said«Oh great, let me talk to him.» I got on and started to say«Hello, I’m a customer and I think you’d agree…» when the cook came out and unplugged the phone so I couldn’t tell him that all we needed was silverware which I’m sure any good owner would agree that the customer should have. It would have taken 10 seconds. So we left our food on the table and walked out. Never to be back. I don’t know how they stay in business. Really.

I had the wings, beans and slaw at lunch and really enjoyed it. I will be back, for sure. Had a couple of other friends say nice things about the mac-n-cheese.

My wife stopped by and brought some ribs home from this place, and they were decent, so I thought I’d try them out again. Unfortunately, they are never open when I stop by. I’ve tried 4 or 5 times, and I am either too early(11:00 is too early? Really?) too late, or they are closed for a holiday that none of the other businesses around are. The hours are whacky. Hey, as a small business that’s their perogative, many small BBQ places have weird days or hours, but you aren’t building customer loyalty if the customer can’t get in.

A solid neighborhood rib joint place. A pleasant staff with terrific lemonade. If you are a lemonade aficionado you will LO VVe their homemade lemonade. Now on on to the Ribs and chicken, their meat are nicely smoked with interesting versions of Bar be que sauces offered on the side. The side dishes were solid and competent. I enjoyed their smoked chicken wings which are straighten in length then cooked. the prices are reasonable. they offered a stuff potatoes which was tasty and different. I encourage everyone to try them at least twice and you will become a fan.

I got off work, headed home and realized that I didn’t have much food left in the kitchen cabinets. So I decided that I should support my neighborhood economy. Feeling in the mood for something grilled, I decided to stop by This BBQ joint. They sell pork ribs and chicken. I ordered a full slab of ribs with a side of mac n cheese, collard greens, and potato salad. The ribs were okay. I didn’t really like the sauce, which came on the side. When I reheated my leftover ribs the next day, I used the BBQ sauce that I already had in my refrigerator. The mac n cheese was a little bland. The potato salad was ok. Not really any flavor, ok so it was bland too. The greens were pretty good. They flavored them with some of the rib meat. So there wasn’t anything special about this place except that the service was friendly and they have little flat screen tvs at every booth.
