Under new management and new business name, I have been here before at the same location. What do you want me to say? One thing for sure, Ube Halaya needs improvement if you are going to sell it. If it does not, I will not come back.

Finally found a place when I’m craving Filipino food. Clean, authentic, cheap eat. No pretentions and no cutting corners. Just good ol’ home cooking. I’ve tried their tuyo, tocino, kare-kare, and sisig and they’re the best in the MD-DC – VA area.

We where a family of 9 and they Made sure we where comfortable. It feels like home, good food and good host. They do have variety of food selection and if it isnot on the A La Carte, they can cook it for you on the spot. Oh you need to try Mr. Ruth’ chicaron, very good. We being born and raise here in the U.S. Filipino food is what we crave for! But parents are Filipino’s…

It’s a small eatery where you can purchase filipino dishes and sit down to eat it… if there is space. It’s a tiny tiny place. However if you’re craving or just wanting to try authentic filipino cooking, this is the best place to visit in the DMV. My favorites are the pansit palabok and fresh lumpia, but I haven’t really had a bad dish here. They even had halo-halo during the summer. Oh, and I can’t forget the breakfast dishes served Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings– tapsilog, longsilog, etc.(Google if you’re not familiar). Overall love this place. As long as the quality of the food remains consistently good I will be a repeat customer.

One of the cleanest Philippine eatery’s I have seen, they serve some great Filipino food. For those of you that don’t know, Philippine cuisine has many«sub-cuisines,» recognized and uniquely stylized by geographic region… It’s like when comparing Chicago pizza to New York pizza. This restaurant, however, serves up great Filipino food, unstylized and delicious. Their breakfast platter, «Tapsilog,» is so good. It’s a combination of three dishes: tapa(smoked beef), sinangag(garlic rice), and itlog(egg). I like them. :)

At first glance I thought this was the old Filipino bakery when I went inside for the first time I was shocked at the cleanup and renovation job that this Filipino carry out restaurant has partaking in I was also taken in by all the fresh fish and chicken & pork barbeque stick servings that they had to offer & many of the entrees are pre cook daily and have a aroma that many Filipinos have grown up to. For many non Filipinos the site of pre cook food may not be so appetizing but it’s worth a shot to try something new. You may have to take a Filipino person to traslate to your taste buds. Why not? Also lumings provides catering service if you needed to accommodate for large and medium size groups of people for parties events and such which is a plus. So to sum it up if you’re in the Fort Washington Oxon Hill or National Harbor area and would like some Filipino cuisine y not stop by and check out this great offerings at the new Lumings Filipino carry out restaurant
