Love The Pub. The staff is wonderful– Mike and Nate are the nicest guys around. I head up every Wednesday for Trivia which starts at 9pm. It’s always fun and challenging. Prices for drinks aren’t bad, there’s free FRESH popcorn and plenty of TVs. The only thing I don’t enjoy is the smoke… but it’s in KY, so whatcha gonna do?

Went here a few weeks ago to try out a new local place. I had read a few reviews on Unilocal and other sites that mentioned«bar food» but we sat down at a table, went to the bar to get a drink, went back to the bar to ask for a menu and were told they don’t serve food. Huge disappointment since we were there for dinner. They had little posters up advertising trivia night and«food specials» but I’m thinking it’s special that they offer food that night in the first place. Trivia night sounds fun and I’m sure it’s a great weekend spot if you want to hang out with some friends and watch a game, but I was not happy with our choice that night.

Nice spot in a cool little section of town. Really enjoyed the band Sleepin Dogs that started playing around 9:30 on Friday night. They really rocked with old favorites and some great original songs as well. Great night listening to some really talented musicians with a lot of people having a good time.

This is your classic dive bar. No frills, no expectations, just drinks and dark lighting. Located on a nice little drag of Fort Thomas Ave(with a bunch of restaurants and stores right next door), this place is the dive bar’s dive bar. Dark dirty wooden floors, dark lighting, neon in the window, tons or regulars sitting around, pool in the back, darts and friendly, fast bartenders. The seating is really nice here, with tons of tables throughout the place and even an outdoor portion. Like that I can grab my beer from the bar and find a spot to sit with friends no problem. Like with all KY bars, there’s plenty of smoking going on here, so just be ready. To pay with a credit card, you have to rack up a that’s at least $ 10. It’s ok, just get another round. Ah, dive bars, you do have a weird little place in my heart.

A classic bar that can get crowded on the weekends. As of late it has become a bit of a hipster bar on Karaōke nights. Still a great neighborhood bar to grab a pint at. Ask for Nate, his extensive knowledge of pin ball will keep you entertained during your stay.

The outdoor seating is a nice addition and the place is very spacious. The bar staff is friendly and attractive. When I ordered a Woodford on the rocks they didnt have any in stock which was disappointing. I settled for Makers and they poured it in a tiny shot glass. Look, I dont mind paying for liquor so if uou need to charge more to put it in a highball glass then so be it. The crowd is a nice mix of young and old and the TV’s are nice. If it wasnt so far from my crib I would frequent more but since the police like to sit and wait outside I gotta make sure I have a ride. Oh they did have a DJ spinning tunes last weekend and they have live music as well.

First, as someone who always pays with a credit card I must say that you have to run up a $ 10 check before you can cash out. It’s clearly not that difficult, but it bears being said. The Pub is your average local bar. Nothing spectacular on tap or in bottles, but a decent selection. A pool table, darts, the occasional karaōke and one of those digital jukeboxes round it out. I’ve only seen one bartender every time I come here and he’s great. Friendly and is willing to help. Case in point: a friend was meeting me and a few others at the pub and he had turkey and cheese with him(I have no idea why) and instead of letting it rot in his car the bartender let him store it in their refrigerator. A nice guy indeed. The Pub also has bar trivia(a favorite of mine) on Wednesdays at 9pm. It’s not a place I would go out of my way to go to, but it’s nice every once in a while.

No frills, no fuss. Olde Fort Pub(or the Fort Thomas Pub as everyone calls it) is just the way an old school tavern should be. Pool table, dart board, Golden Tee, good jukebox and a fried-food kitchen to top it off. The bartenders here are always friendly and pretty good with remembering faces. My most memorable time at the Fort Thomas Pub is attending their annual chili cook-off. Regulars take this event very seriously and the competition is hot. There are typically a dozen or so contestants and everyone at the bar is welcome to try a bowl. Also, during Lent, the Pub fries up a mean fish sandwich and French fries, drawing a crowd of devotees every Friday night. If you’re looking for an unpretentious, casual bar, look no further than Olde Fort Pub.
