Specialty wings is where it’s at! Highly recommend the soy garlic wings. The mix is also great to try for variety. Very clean restaurant with no real atmosphere. The only TV show I have ever seen play inside is «how I met your mother. Basic

Never had korean fried chicken! Comming from Miami we don’t get much korean food. Was visiting family in Jersey and they told me this chicken was a must! Let me tell you it was worth the drive. Chicken was spicy and flavorful and had this delicious crunchy goodness to it! I will definitely be craving this once back in Miami!

I’m from Miami we really don’t see places like boom boom chicken. I came to NJ to visit my cousin that lives in the area and it was an amazing experience. They have two flavors mild or spicy. We order and it takes about 20 min which was fine because we had literally just finished having Korean BBQ for dinner but he told us we had to try this fried chicken! Once the chicken arrives he grabs a pieces and says listen to this… And all you hear is crunch! My husband grab and piece and all you hear is crunchy goodness! The chicken as so crispy yet flavorful and airy. The mild was great very flavorful not too spicy just a little kick. The spicy chicken was full of flavor and the heat was turned up a couple notches. They gave us two containers filled with radishes to help out with the heat and they did it was crunchy and refreshing to have after every bite. Over all great experience, great snack or lunch place.

Ordered my food and waited 1 hour and 40 minutes. I called to ask where my food was. They said I would get it in 10 minutes. Had my mom call in Korean since they are a Korean restaurant. They admitted they didn’t make it. The woman who picked up phone said to just ask seamless for a refund since it would take time and she hung up on my mom. My mom warned me that when my brother ordered a year ago(first and only time ordered by brother), it took 3 hours so I decided to use seamless thinking they would be more precise with the time. I was wrong. Glad seamless gave me a refund right away.

The best fried chicken I ever had. I would have given it 5 stars but their delivery service is not that great. I’m 10 mins away by car and depending on who’s taking my order/weather/busy, delivery might not happen. It was inconsistent. One week it was delivered to me. Another week, they don’t deliver. And the following they do. When I asked why not? I get a lot of different answers. I eventually gave up and started to pick them up myself. Good thing that their chicken is AWESOME because I would have stop going there if it wasn’t. The staff are pretty nice. Try to avoid buying food here on a busy day(aka Super Bowl game day), you will have to wait a few hours until you get your food. But still worth the wait. best chicken ever.

The chicken is AMAZING, delicious! The price and atmosphere? Not so much. $ 40 for a ten piece of drumsticks, a chicken Katsu meal(fried chicken breast and rice) and side of fries seemed high to me. I overheard another table commenting on how surprisingly expensive it was as well. The restaurant is small but very loud and the Korean soap opera on TV was not appropriate in my opinion but maybe I’m taking it too far. There were families with small children in there and the giant TV was showing a soap opera with characters making out in one scene and a guy screaming with blood on his face in another. Why do I have to watch this while eating my chicken?

Normally I don’t write bad reviews, but they really pissed me off. And this review isn’t for the food. Their chicken is pretty damn good. That’s why I order it. I placed an order trough the Unilocal App. After one hour, I called them to check on the status. The woman on the other end said that she didn’t receive my order because of the windy weather. Not sure what the hell that means. Let me put this in context. My wife is home alone and pregnant and I am away on business. I decided to order food for her since she had worked a 12 hour day and was too tired to cook something. She then said it would take 30 minutes for her to get the order out the door. I said«it needs to be here in 30 minutes.» This was because my wife was tired and needed to sleep. The woman then said she would try her best. I basically said«if it won’t be there in 30 minutes, I don’t want it.» That’s when the fun started. She asked me why I would say something like that, to which I replied that I couldn’t wait all night for food. Nearly 1.5 hours for fried chicken delivered in the same town… Absurd. She argued with me, stating that I should be more understanding and give them more time. Frankly, she got nasty with me. I’ll admit I was stern, but not rude or disrespectful, just matter of fact. After about 3 minutes of going back and forth with her, I just said«forget it, I don’t want it anymore.» She muttered something in Korean and hung up. Suffice to say, they’ve lost my business for good.

The Story: Boyfriend and I decided to come here for lunch this past Saturday before heading to the internet café down the block. Food: We ordered a mixed 12 piece wing, drumlet and drumstick combo. ½ spicy and ½ mild and a order of fried pork dumplings. The dish came with pickled radish. I did not care for the mild flavor as I think peck peck and bonchon had better flavored soy garlic. Their spicy, however, was the bomb! Price: I think the price is fair for the amount of food we got. $ 35 between two people with drinks. Décor: Very«cafeteria» feel. Service: Only one lady in the front to take all orders. Parking & Finding the Place: It’s paid parking but there is a municipal lot across the street. Additional Thoughts:

Firstly, I want to say my opinions about Korean food are reflective more of authentic Korean rather than fusion Asian as I was born there and raised there. I probably would’ve given it 3 – 3.5 stars just for the food, but the delivery was quick and free, the person answering the phone was nice(which is hard to experience with Koreans – trust me, I’m Korean), so I rounded up to 4. My husband and I ordered the mild combo A(wings, arms, drumsticks). The chicken was mostly tender, with some dry parts. The sauce was a bit on the salty side, but somehow I got used to it. Nice crunch to it, though. It came with the typical pickled radishes, which tasted typical. Not special, but done right. Another thing I look for in Korean fried chicken is whether my stomach reacts after eating it. I’m sensitive to bad oil, but I felt fine afterwards, so I guess they’re doing a good job maintaining the quality of their oil which is a must with fried food. I would order again. Perhaps I’ll try spicy next time.

So I have recently found my soul mate… and its in the form of Korean Fried Chicken! Seriously I can’t decide weather or not I love or hate my friend Christina for taking me here because I am absolutely addicted to this fried chicken I think about it all the time like a long lost lover. We drove to Fort Lee and found parking on one of the side streets. Parking can be a little tricky around here but there are plenty of parking meters on the side streets. We arrived inside where the girl at the counter knew my friend Christina from how many times she comes here. For my first time coming here I let my friend order us up some deliciousness and we ended up getting the A large which is the fried chicken combo with wings, drumsticks and arms and we got the half and half(spicy and mild), and a order of large fries. The chicken takes about 20 mins to cook because everything is fresh and made to order so we walked around the area and stopped in at some bakeries. After about 15 mins we walked back to boom boom and our chicken was ready. We grabbed a table, some hot sauce, drinks and got down and dirty in these sticky wings. The sauce on the chicken is addictive with a sweet and salty flavor really coming through, the chicken was fried to perfection and amazingly juicy. The fries were some of the best I have ever had, crispy and amazing. All the chicken is served with pickled radish which tasted like coleslaw to me and really helped to relieve the spiciness of the chicken. What I really like about this chicken is it isn’t greasy and doesn’t leave you feeling sluggish after eating it. I love it so much I went to check out the other location in Rutherford the next day with some of my other friends. All I’m saying is if you haven’t tried Korean fried chicken get your ass there now! What the hell are you waiting for???

The chicken was pretty good. It hit the rift spot for me. I walked in hungry and left feeling satisfied. I got the mild so it was just ok. I’m gonna go for the spicy next time to see what all the rave is about. The cashier lady was sweet rhiugh

Sorry Bön Chon, I’m a Boom Boom girl from now on. Same price point at both places for a large box of Korean fried chicken. The coating is more layered and crispy and bit oilier but oh so good.

Woo hoo! Found a new fav fried korean chicken place. We used to love going to Bön Chon but they are kind of pricey. The chicken at this place tastes very similar to Bön Chon and perhaps even a little better since they are more garlicky. They are also way cheaper than Bön chon. This is my new fav place.

Make sure you call ahead of time! I ordered a party platter of 65 and it took 25 minutes. It was perfect timing, when I got there the party tray just came right out of the kitchen. Food is cooked to order so you would really need to take that extra step and pick up the phone, otherwise, you’ll find yourself waiting around. The transport from store to home only took about a 7 minute drive, and to our surprise the wings were still crispy and mighty hot, you know what happens when covered fried goods gets, soggy. The batter is a bit thicker than my liking. Wish they come with dipping sauces, because the flavors were very mild. I rarely had fried chicken without sauce I can dunk ‘em in, or am I the only one? It can be a bit pricey, my platter of 65 costs $ 64 and change, basically a dollar a wing… but it’s definitely worth a try if you’re on the hunt for a good wing in the neighborhood.
