If you are a woman that would like to be taken for granted, then this is your company. I hired 3 men for a 2 bedroom move. Everything was packed besides the kitchen. With that said, they failed to bring proper packing materials. One gentleman did most of the work while the other 2 kept disappearing for a half hour at a time… basically running the time as it was an hourly job. All my items were damaged, one of the employees tried to force me to sign paperwork that was unauthorized… lastly, that same employee took 2 beers out of my personal belongings with him as he walked out the door. Preposterous!

We hired Sunset Moving & Storage on July 4, 2015 as a third party company to load and transport goods from a 2bdrm home to Public Storage/specified location. We secured the booking by CC. Once services were completed, they sent us a invoice for $ 680 that didn’t clearly specify our charges. It took multiple emails to correct this. We finally decided to pay using the same CC but was told their would be a 17% surcharge fee(adding $ 118 to our bill) for this service. Therefore, we declined and elected to mail a cashiers check. Suspect about the services, we decided to forfeit this option and wait until the scheduled end of month pickup. This was communicated via email to Sunset Movers on 7⁄27. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale on 8⁄1 to pick up goods. We placed multiple calls to the establishment that morning to schedule payment and pickup with no avail. Our movers decided to go to the business, which is an apartment building and not a storage facility, was told to contact Edgar. Edgar was contacted while doing a move and informed us of our $ 940 bill due in which $ 260 was for not contacting them to inform the we were coming and late fees. Late fees were not discussed nor emailed to us during the entire transaction. Edgar’s response was«nothing is for free». My response was nothing was communicated nor disclosed about late fees. Ashley, the receptionist, offered to transport our goods to TX and they’re not licensed for out of state travel. Edgar & Sunset Movers should not be operating as a licensed and insured moving company according to the Federal Motor Carrier(FMSCA). Avoid this company at all cost!!!
