HORRIBLE!!! The staff STEALS your packages!!! And then don’t even admit or apologize because they’re covered as ‘not responsible for stolen mail’ in the lease agreement. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I had a package signed by the concierge (that’s almost never there), signed by the leasing office manager and logged in the mail room where they sent me an e-​mail notification it arrived. When I came down to pick it up it was gone. They refused to look at their security cameras or take any responsibility, they didn’t file a police report for someone stealing packages in the locked mail room (that only the employees have access to a key) and they sent me a copy of the lease in an email saying they weren’t going to replace my package or reimburse me for the value of over $ 400 for my very large package that mysteriously went missing after 3 signatures from the post and two of THEIR employees! They have the WORST customer service and are absolutely horrible. The lease does state they are not responsible for stolen items even if done so by the staff however, the RIGHT thing to do as a business is replace what YOUR employees obviously took from a paying tenant. We pay the extra big bucks to live there for a ‘24hr concierge and mail/​tradh service’ but this is how they treat us?!? This isn’t the only thing that went wrong while we lived here– I could go on. But the staff stealing packages and the company neglecting to take responsibility for their staff stealing– and disrespecting tenants AT ALL — absolutely disgusts me. I will never reccomend this place to anyone. And it’s a shame because it’s pretty on the outside and the structure is nice (minus the hood on the next block) but the employees ruin it all and if I acted that way at my job even for a moment, i’d be fired. Hopefully the right person reads this and fixes that mess they made of it.

I’ve lived in a lot of places on both the East Coast and the West Coast and I have to say Solmar on Sixth is by far my favorite. The amenities and the service here are incredible. I am a full time student in a very stressful, accelerated program and I have never had to worry about anything in my living situation whatsoever. Any requests you have are answered kindly and promptly. The leasing office staff, the concierge staff and the cleaning staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you any way they can. Although all of the leasing staff has been incredible, I have worked most closely with Cheri who is an absolute angel! She is so kind, always greets you with a smile, and makes the leasing process and any other requests run smoothly and simply. I would strongly recommend Solmar on Sixth.

We did not have a good experience with the leasing office. If you have an opportunity to see someone other than Cheri Castro, do it Or run out of the office. Very judgmental person

If I could give them no stars, that would be my choice, a BIG FAT ZERO. We toured this building and it seemed OK, not as nice as the others we had looked at, but the availability was going to fit with our schedule. Cherie was very nice during our tour. After doing some searching online, I saw some reviews which were not complimentary, so I called her to discuss the robbery in the gated parking garage and she assured me that since the new company had taken over, that problem had been solved. Then I asked about the complaints regarding people’s entire security deposit being taken to replace carpet. She told me that whenever someone has an animal, they will always replace the carpet after they move out, that was discerning to me, since I wasn’t planning on staying more than 1 lease term and have only 1 older cat with no claws and who sleeps 95% of the day. Cherie pushed me to fill out the application, because the apartment they were saving for us was not going to last due to it being close to the end of the month. I filled out the online application and saw that they required proof of employment, so I called again and Cherie was not available. I spoke with another associate who told me no problem, as long as I had it to them by the end of the following week, it would be fine. So I submitted the application. Cherie calls me on Monday and says she needs proof of employment and I reiterate the phone conversation I had with her associate on Friday, but Cherie tells me they can’t process anything without it and I needed to get it to them. I was reading her email and mistakenly hit send, she responded immediately, saying there was nothing attached. I responded and told her again that I was not going to have the proof of employment to her on that day (apparently they count Saturday and Sunday as business days) and she said they have a 3 day policy, so I told her that rather than pay $ 700 for nothing, to just not process anything. By the way, rather than a «3 business day», they count Saturday and Sunday too. She never responded, which I found odd, since she was at her desk just a minute earlier. Well, so much for that, the next day her supervisor calls me and tells me that there must have been a misunderstanding and again tells me as long as I have the proof of employment by end of week it’ll be fine. I told her thank you, but after the episode with Cherie and the discerning reviews online, that I’d rather just let this apartment go and when I get the letter, we’ll re-​evaluate. She tells me that Greystar will send me a refund check for the $$, minus the application fee! I asked what application fee, nothing was ever processed because according to Cherie, she couldn’t do anything without the letter! Well, I look at my account online and sure enough they charged my card $ 700. I promptly disputed the charge and now, 3 ½ weeks later, I get a check in the mail today, minus the application fee. What a ripoff, for something that was never done. Oh and just for the sake of things, I had that proof of employment letter by the end of that week, just as I promised I would have. However, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise, because if this is how they treat people before they even finish the application process, I surely wouldn’t want to have to live there for 15 months with such poor customer service. I can’t even begin to express how disgusted I am with their business practices. Had they handled things better, and were more respectful, then I might have signed the lease at a later date. I would highly recommend you stay away from this place.

considering the fact that I was robbed when I lived here, I would not recommend my worst enemy move here. Horrible support service and security.

All I have to say is go somewhere else. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD HERE. There are new leasing agents EVERY WEEK (red flag) I’ve gotten 3 flat tires, wake up to LOYD BANGING AND HORRENDOUS noise and they do NOT care NO HOSPITALITY WHATSO EVER. It has been a nightmare living here … I’ll take my 2509 a month and so elsewhere … Don’t even have to give ONE star ???

Lived in the apartment for two years. Looks nice on the outside and attractively designed. Once you’re a resident it all changes, the apartment we got was filthy. We found dirty clothes, dead bugs, and dirt in the bathtubs to list a few. There were parties all the time all night long, keeping my family awake. Security at the building is minimal despite the extremely high rent given the neighborhood. Key fobs were issued to gain access to the exterior doors; however, when a battery dies, they just tape the lock open so anyone can get into the building. The feel of the building is more of a college party house, so if that’s what you’re looking for, then this is your place.
Move out. When preparing to move out, we cleaned the unit so that it was much better than when we got it. Several weeks later we get a bill for $ 60+. That included them keeping the deposit for carpet and a cleaning fee. They described the carpet as having «bleach stains». However, when confronted, they stated it was just «excessive wear». The office staff was not helpful in clearing up the unwarranted and absurd charges. I’ve lived in numerous apartments in South Florida and have never been taken advantage of by the management like this.
I warn anyone looking into this place to beware of excessive «admin» charges. I would avoid all Greystar properties after this incident. Equity Apartments were much better.

We were prospective tenants ready to tour this property. We walk in to an empty office. We couldn’t find anyone around so we waited. After waiting for several minutes we walked back out into the main lobby area. Just then, a girl walks past us (without any acknowledgement) and goes into the office and the walks back out. Then she walks past us again and at that point we asked her if she had seen anyone in the office or if anyone was around that she knew of. (we just assumed she was maybe a resident that might know since she felt very comfortable walking into the management office, however she wasn’t really dressed like she was at work.) She responded «They are out on a tour» and then she walked over to the concierge desk! huh? You’ve got to be kidding me! We were totally baffled that someone who is supposed to be the «concierge» would walk past a group of people a couple of times without any kind of greeting or help. Her desk was a mess and it had some classroom book on Nursing. (Yikes, I hope she hasn’t taken her bedside manner classes yet).
So after this we waited another 5 minutes. With no leasing agent in sight and the lack of service from the «concierge» we decided it was probably best we leave.
Sounds like from the reviews, we dodged a bullet…

We accompanied our two friends who were searching for a place to live as they are relocating to S. Florida. This was an odd experience –
We walked in, saw no one, looked in a few empty offices while a gal passed us and said nothing. I then asked her if there was a Leasing Agent on site but she said they were giving a tour to someone else. That’s fine, but was she ever going to welcome us or acknowledge us? She actually looked like she didn’t even work there.
Honestly, I had no idea she was the Concierge until she sat herself down at a desk with a name plate that said «Concierge» and started studying her Nursing book. This was the worst Concierge I’d ever experienced. Perhaps she should switch her major from Nursing to Customer Service. Surely, Alexan can do better than this.
Needless to say, we walked out and our friends are renting another fantastic place. There’s no reason to ever return to a place that doesn’t want your business.

Here’s a very matter of fact review.
We’ll start with the pros:
— property kept in perfect shape with very nice amenities
— one bedrooms with a den/​office space exist
Now all the cons, starting with big ones toward the top:
— Essentially no insulation between you and people above you. You can hear washing machines very loudly (and they are exceptionally loud to being with), along with any gatherings and music above you.
— People sneak out to the pool at all hours of the night because the gate is not locked. Per office staff, have to call the police after midnight a few times and wait for them to contact the on-​premise officer to get people to leave. (Had my apartment not faced the pool, I wouldn’t have noticed this.) /​/​/​Also, the giant pool heater units outside by the pool are very loud and grating but they won’t fix it. Never heard a noise until living there a half a year… they said it was normal for the pool heaters to make that sound, but the water wasn’t even warming up from it being on… why waste money on a pool heater in Florida… especially when it doesn’t work!
— Additionally with the pool, the complex (not individuals) will pump loud, heavy-​bass music at the pool from 11am onward each weekend day, so if you live near the pool, this is also very annoying.
— Takes many iterations of complaining to the staff to get anything done. Property manager selectively replies to emails and then either lies to your face or is incredibly ignorant to various issues at the property. I actually had to escalate an issue to the regional manager once and then she stopped replying to voice mails, and her superior wouldn’t respond either. Maintenance guys were incredibly friendly but sometimes requests would just sit around and not get done.
— The ovens in the apartments take a very long time to heat up. I asked about this, and they said it did seem like a long time (20+ min to 400F), so they replaced the oven, which had the same issue… then they said that’s normal. — If you are working from home be aware than the internet provider is some no-​name company with unreliable service, that the walls strongly block wifi signals and cell reception for calls, texts, 3G (4G wasn’t too bad) into the apartment.
— The A/​C in the apartment is very loud.
— Water heater is on the opposite side of the apartment from the kitchen sink and bathroom, and, therefore, it takes a long time for water to heat up (per the maintenance guys).
— An issue that was never figured out… why the washing machine would mess up my clothing so much. This was investigated a number of times, and I was told everything was fine, but it was making my clothes look like they’re were many years old (even after just one or two washings).
— Stupid things that showed this place was put together poorly: groupings of light switches in no particular order, miswiring of bathroom switches in half the building (per maintenance staff) that meant despite two switches, the loud fan had to go on with the lights… they’ll disconnect the fan for you, but then you have to make sure to turn the a/​c on each time you shower to prevent mold.
— While property staff would act surprised at all these issues (and maybe rightly so because no one else would open their mouths), other people at the pool would mention the same issues with the laundry, a/​c, fans, hot water, etc.
Overall, the place looks very nice, but has quite a number of issues, and for the price, you might as well live closer to Las Olas. However, if having the home office space really appeals to you, along with other amenities at the property, make sure to get a top floor apartment facing away from the pool to eliminate the noise issues that made living here such a pain. Also, if you’re deaf, you’ll be in good shape.

They took almost our entire security deposit to «replace the carpet». The carpet had normal wear and tear from us living there for 3 years. The property also charges similar fees for new tenants moving in. They nickel and dime you on the way in and on the way out. I would never recommend this property to any of my friends.

A subpar place to live, at best. The staff are rude, unhelpful, and full of all kinds of lies. The neighborhood is slummy and unsafe. The walls are painfully thin … Good luck getting any sleep! The neighbors deal drugs, party all the time and have loud domestic disputes. The pool is always cold and full of drunk college kids, and the place is crazy expensive. You can do so much better … Do NOT live here!
