GO Airport Shuttle & Executive Car Service

We had an awesome experience booking with GO Airport Shuttle. I don’t remember our drivers name but he arrived on time and even gave me a call as we were walking off the airplane. He was patiently waiting at the baggage pick up for us and assisted all 9 of us and our luggages into our van. Even though it was pouring, he was able to drive us very safely to our destination and even speak to security about letting us in and not standing out in the rain. At the end of our trip, he picked us up on time and drove us safely back to the airport. I really wish I remembered his name because he was very professional and punctual. Thank you!

I admit, I was hesitant using this service based on some of the reviews I read. I chose the direct route service, not the shared ride. I had a group of four. The group was going from Miami Airport to Port Everglades and vice versa. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. They called us as soon as we got off the plane to let us know they were there at the baggage terminal to greet us. As soon as we made it through customs after we returned from our cruise, we called for pick up and they were there in less than 30 minutes. The drivers were very friendly and professional.
This is only an observation… not at all a complaint. We will use this company again. We thought a car/​limo was picking us up at each location but it was actually a shuttle. (not a shared shuttle) On our return we were told that a car was not available at the time and if we would be ok with a shuttle van. They were very clean and we had no issues. We didn’t care what type of vehicle picked us up as long as it was clean and would fit our luggage.
I would recommend this shuttle service. The price was reasonable.

I waited for an hour for a shared ride from the airport to Pompano Beach last night. I watched as the drivers gave a «tip» in cash to the dispatcher to get the higher fares and put those people at the front of the line. One more reason that Über is a better option.

I was highly disappointed with this service. I had requested to be taken to a hotel near the aiport. Although I did not give an exact address, this hotel was extremely close to the airport, around 2 blocks away after exiting the terminals. It was a simple route and even as I kept repeating to the driver where I wanted to be taken, he refused to drop me off where I asked. I do not understand how a driver cannot take me to the place where I paid to be taken to.
I definitely do not recommend this company if their drivers refuse to listen to what their customers are telling them.

UPDATE: In addition to posting on Unilocal,I also posted a similar review on GO Airport Shuttle’s website and sent a message. They responded back within 24 hours, saying that they would look into my complaint. I heard back 48 hours later with another e-​mail from their local office addressing my concerns, noting that disciplinary action was taken and offering our group a full refund for our ride. I know that GO Airport Shuttle service is a large, national company and my review could have easily have been disregarded. I appreciate them taking the time respond and address our concerns.
So, while I would still rate our ride itself as «Eek. Methinksnot,» I have updated my rating to «A-​OK» due to the customer service we received in response to my complaints. Thank you, GO Airport Shuttle & Executive Car Service.

REVIEW: In terms of actual pick-​up and drop-​off, I can say that we got picked up immediately upon arrival and were dropped off at our requested destination. We had a private sedan with pick-​up at baggage claim & were charged with no problems and at the quoted price.
However, our experience with our driver was so poor that I would recommend looking elsewhere for transportation from Fort Lauderdale to Miami.
Our driver greeted us at the airport and almost instantly began telling my girlfriends and me jokes that ranged from distasteful to offensive They began with a joke about circumcised Jewish men (punchline: Jewish women like everything 10% off), before moving onto a yeast infection joke that had a punchline involving an «offensive cunt.» We politely smiled and laughed for the first few jokes, but as the clock kept ticking and the jokes kept coming, we all eventually disengaged and hoped that the ride would be finished. He joked about having vodka in his trunk and sharing a drink with us, leaving us not entirely convinced that he might be sober, especially as his car drifted between lanes throughout our ride. I am sure that his particular sense of humor would pass with any variety of misogynists or racists. He might go over well with drunken frat boys or bachelor parties. But, with our group, he was not particularly good at reading his audience — we would have preferred that he just kept his jokes and sexual comments to himself, especially after offering to oil our backs for us at one of the beach clubs. Additionally, based on the smell, we believe that he also smokes in his car, which is fine if that’s what he wants to do, but maybe not the best idea if you’re shuttling people around. So, overall, a terrible ride & we would not recommend taking the shuttle if this man is a reflection on their other drivers.

This company royally upset me.
I booked online for a trip from port Everglades to Miami airport after a cruise. We got off the ship a little early, so I decided to call to let them know that we were ready when they were.
Well main dispatch transfers me to the local office. A woman asks for my code, which I give and she says ok, great let me contact the driver.
She comes back on and tells me ‘um, how did you book this?’ Online, I say. ‘Well, we don’t offer this service.‘
What…
So I proceed to feel the heat rise in my blood. She says they don’t offer shared service but I could pay 40 dollars more for a private transfer.
My choices are then, pay another 40 (I already pre paid 60) or have no ride?
Yes, that’s correct, she says.
I was fuming. I then asked for my money back knowing I could get a taxi for cheaper. She then tells me there’s nothing she can do and I would have to call corporate to ask for a refund. Are you kidding me? Can you imagine if I had not called? I would have been waiting for a ride that would never show up!
I call corporate. No apologies, no ways to make it better. He simply asked who I spoke with and that my refund would be issued in 5 – 7 days.
I have never dealt with a more incompetent, misleading company in my life.

Horrible! On the way to the airport the shuttle was 45 minutes late. I had to call to find out when they were coming. The man didn’t say one word to me the entire ride to the airport. On the way home I went to the desk and showed my voucher, the man told me to wait and he would let me know when my shuttle was there. 40 minutes later told me my shuttle arrived. The shuttle driver then told me I was at the wrong shuttle. Then the man at the desk told me that I missed my shuttle 30 minutes ago. Don’t waste your money on this. Do yourself a favor and Über.

Sorry service and poorly run. Doesn’t matter if you book a reservation or not getting a ride from the airport is a painful affair. Vans sit around with no one the counter guy acts like he’s doing you a favor and 30 minutes wait are always always hour. Do yourself a favor book UBER. UBER wait 7 minutes GO Shuttle said it would take an hour the cost is the same. GO Shuttle ain’t really going anywhere! GO wait outside on hard benches while cars and vans with no people come and GO.

I rely on Unilocal!a lot and this was the first time ever that I ignored the negative reviews. I won’t do that again.
We grabbed a Go Shuttle because the cab queue was long and Go came along just as we walked out of the Fort Lauderdale International terminal. We said, «It’s fairly cheap and how bad can it really be?» We found out! As the last to be dropped off in Miami Beach we spent 2−½ hours on that shuttle. Two and a half hours in a skanky smelling van, despite the evident use of some sort of Fabulso-​like-​scented stuff. Nasty.
Our driver wasn’t dangerous. He used his brakes a lot. A real lot. Like every time he stopped he’d hit the brakes hard, then let up on them, then hit them hard again, doing this at least three times every single time we stopped for anything; including creeping forward at a traffic light. We crossed an intersection and a cab coming from our right had the right of way, so our driver guns it, then realizes he can’t beat the cab and slams on the brakes. Three times. A speed bump? Gun the engine all the way up to it, them slam the brakes. Three times. Must be his good luck thing. By the time we got out of the van I felt car sick, for the first time in my life.
Pros: it was cheaper than a cab, it was faster than walking, and we were out of the rain. That’s the end of the «pros.» Cons: Just about everything else. Our trip back to the airport we opted for a cab — it was $ 40 more ($ 90 with tip, for two of us) compared with Go Shuttle ($ 50 for two with tip, which the guy really didn’t deserve but we felt sorry for him, an older guy working when most people should be enjoying retirement) — but the cab fare was worth it. Took 40 minutes with a safe, friendly driver, from Miami Beach to Fort Lauderdale International (FLL). People: heed the negative reviews. Don’t do what we did.

First time in Miami last week First time using Go Airport Shuttle
On Fri ¹¹⁄₆ it took three hours to get from FLL to my hotel in Miami. There were ten people and five stops. The driver did not have any destination info from the starters and asked all to write on the back of a piece of cardboard. We passed my hotel twice and another once before going back.
I also had a confirmed res to be picked up at the Miami cruise pier and taken back to FLL on Sunday the15th. When I got off the ship, I was instructed to call in for the van. It was not until about 10:30 am that I called and was told that there was no one going to pick me up. I explained I had a confirmed res and I was then told I was trying to scam the system. Not having a clue I asked again and she said they do not service the cruise pier!
I asked around and the only way to get to FLL was a cab for $ 75.00
When I got home I called their customer service and could not believe what I was hearing. «3 hour trip time is normal» They do not have van service from the cruise pier but do provide a car service starting at $ 108 bucks. She could not explain my getting a confirmed res but did say that the web site clearly states that there is no van service.
75+15 bucks later I was at FLL.
At home I went back to the site and it took me a while to see that it did say where they serviced Miami. I still had a confirmed van res for 27 bucks.
(NO) GO is an international company serving New York etc.
No matter where I go it will be without GO!

No. Nerp. Nawl. Unt uh. I don’t know how many ways to tell you to pay a little extra change for your safety and sanity.
Long story short, my friend and I used them to get from Ft Lauderdale to Miami Beach. You should already know this is a shared ride so there may be several stops before yours. That wasn’t the issue I had. So I asked the guy at the podium did they take cash only or if they took cards as well. The guy said they took both. Cool.
On the way there the driver was pretty unprofessional (read: road rage) considering he had a van full of 9 other people not including himself. One of the ladies on the van said we were riding on fumes, Like, you didn’t have time to fill your van up before you decided to pick up fares!!!
Then, the icing on the cake. Everyone else got dropped off right in front of their door. My friend and I got dropped off around the corner from our hotel even when I told him the driveway was on the other side. When I tell him I wanted to pay with a card, he said the machine was broken and he wanted cash. I proceed to tell him I only had a little bit of cash that doesn’t cover the fare. Then he magically produces the credit card machine and says «ohhh I hope this goes thru». OF COURSE IT WENT THRU YOU JUST WANTED TO POCKET THE CASH!
To add insult to injury I told him not to toss my suitcase into the back of the van when we first got on. He did it anyway, and some fragile items I had in my suitcase were broken. Needless to say I would rather pay almost $ 100 to get to MIA from FLL to a taxi or limo service than pay them $ 21. Never again.

Worst customer service ever. Made me wait more than 30 minutes when there were no other passengers to be waiting for. No thank you for a tip and speech about how a ticket was supposed to be printed. Never using this company again and wouldn’t recommend to others.

Ummmm yeah low tire pressure as he sped us to Miami Port. Paid $ 65 can’t say I’m pleased, but it was suppose to be cheaper then a cab. He hastitated about price in the beginning, but we where desperate to make it to our cruise. Do I feel cheated yes will I return no… 3 stars for making it safely

The service isn’t the best. When we arrived, we had to wait on the sidewalk while another person recruited more people to ride. I failed to mentioned we reserved the ride, online, months prior to our trip. Two other people walked up and was able to ride with us, without scheduling an appointment.
We had 7 people in our party and the driver looked disappointed after he asked us our destination and we replied with the same address. :-/​
I’ve had better service and can’t wait until Über returns to FLL.

These are the least professional people I have done business with in a long time. If you want a ride before 7am leaving the airport, you’ll need to wake up a driver of a van that is sleeping in the back seat.
I felt extremely uncomfortable riding with this company, and I recommend that you do not. Spend your money elsewhere.

This review is for using the private car service, not the shared ride van.
Over the years, I really prefer getting a private car to a regular taxi. It is at the least a third more expensive. The drivers are also generally more pleasant. Today I had the most lovely little lady driver, a shout out to Amerie.
Once outside each terminal for ground transportation, Go employees are usually located at a stand very similar the the taxi stand. You can usually see a white/​green Go van or older white/​black Lincolns parked curbside. Today the stand guys were a little dry, but my driver was this bubbly little lady who helped me just like the burly guys who put my bags in her trunk, she rolled my bags to the door for me at my destination — -I was on a crutch.
She was confident, no-​nonsense, very pleasant conversation; she safely drove me straight to my destination, thankfully accepting my route suggestion. 5 stars for her. I paid cash this time so I can’t comment on how difficult or not a cc transaction would be. I wish the cars were more modern and it was such a splurge for the short distance, but all in all a much better less hassle alternative to a traditional taxi.

I would avoid using Go Airport at all costs. Although I provided them with our inbound and outbound flight information, they screwed up the return trip and refused to refund what we had prepaid for the service. So, they kept our money and we were left without a way to get to the airport.
We originally booked Go Airport because we thought it was the most cost effective option, but when we took the taxi back to the airport, we realized that a taxi was actually cheaper than using Go Airport. In the future, we’ll save time and money and just get a taxi.

I enjoy the service from Go Airport Shuttle.
My Co worker and I received top line service. Nice and fast. And now on the road and on our way. He is a fast driver. But I’m enjoying the view and the cold air conditioning.
