Florida Shuttle Transportation

They canceled my 150 mile trip just 40 minutes beforehand, which left me scrambling to get a greyhound bus that departed elsewhere 4 hours later. Avoid this company if you can. They are not helpful when you call to ask for a refund and reimbursement for the hassle caused by their unexpected cancellation.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! We paid for a shuttle from Fort Myers to Miami, and had a confirmed time of 4:30 pick up to 6:30 drop off. Thus we thought we would make our 8:40 flight in Miami. Much to our dismay, we discovered we had 2 other pickups and a stop in Fort Lauderdale, which would take 3+ hours! We had to get out of the van and ask our parents to drive us since we knew we would never make the flight! In the process of getting our money back…
Also, the vehicles are SUPER sketchy and they will pack you into a tiny mini van with 7 other people!

In October I reserved a seat on Florida Shuttle to go to Fort Myers from Fort Lauderdale Airport. I had to cancel and I did so a few days in advance. On the website, the cancellation policy is clear. If you give 48 hours notice, you get a full refund less $ 5. The company has not refunded my money, despite several calls and emails. I did hear back from Angela the manager by email, who said I needed to send her a copy of my cancellation request. Of course I had sent it, and sent it again several times, and now, no response. I filed a complaint with the Florida Atttorney General against this company. You are now warned not to use them.

Avoid at all costs. They canceled my shuttle to the Orlando airport at the last minute, forcing me to change my entire trip at significant expense.

Biggest scam company out there. People please read reviews… We didn’t and are paying for it. 2 hours late for both inbound and outbound. Paid for private van and didn’t get it. Van in bad repair. Drivers complaining of not getting paid. Hung up on us multiple times. Awful people who run this sham of a company…

DON’T USE THIS SERVICE EVER!!! They cancelled my trip from WPB Airport to MIA Airport by EMAIL 4 hrs before they were supposed to pick me up!!! Did not even call! And no answer if you call when they neglect to pick you up! What a racket! And who checks email at 5am??? If you want to panic, stress, and miss your flight or pay 2x for a real shuttle at the last minute by all means give them a call! Otherwise Super Shuttle is the way to go!

My 73 year old mother was dropped off in Naples without her bag that had all her medications in it. We called and spoke to numerous people and they couldn’t get the bag to her in a timely manner (2+ days later) and wouldn’t even drop it at the location she was staying at either. I paid 4 times what Greyhound cost as I thought they would take good care of her. What a nightmare! Don’t use this service!!!

Terrible experience with this company. I took the shuttle a few days ago from Fort Myers to Miami.
We arrived early and waited until the «shuttle arrived», it turned out to be a mini van and not a shuttle, one that fits 6 people. I was shocked to see that two extra people had paid for a transfer, but could not fit anywhere in the van. We repeatedly asked if another shuttle was coming, but they kept saying «No, this is the shuttle».
Anyways, we made an unexpected stop in Naples (even though it was supposed to be direct to Ft. Lauderdale then Miami). Meanwhile the driver was speeding and texting at the same time, and it seemed like she got a call every 10 minutes.
In Fort Lauderdale (behind schedule), one of the guys got off and the driver refused to give him his bags unless he gave her a tip. Poor guy had to scramble for some dollars while he was already running late for his flight.
Finally, upon our arrival in Miami, a couple asked if they could be dropped off at American Airlines (which was before our planned stop at Avianca). The driver refused and said «only one stop». As we got out, the driver forced us to tip and when I gave her two dollars she complained about it in creole (I understand french so it wasn’t hard to guess what she was saying).
NEVER AGAIN!

Where do I start with the issues and problems with this so-​called «company.» First, be ware, I do not think they are legitimate and need to be shut down asap. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. First, they booked the wrong date and then said it was my fault and charged extra to change the date for this «one time change» allowed to me. Thanks so much for nothing. I was in a situation that I had no choice. Then they refused to honor the pick up that I paid extra for to pick up at the hotel saying that they didnt have time to do that. So of course now I had to pay a cab to get me to the shuttle pick up spot. When I was booking the shuttle, I confirmed what type of shuttle bus this was supposed to be and I was told «it is very comfortable, each person has their own seat.» I specifically asked is it a van with bench seats, and the answer was «oh no everyone has their own seat.» I am pretty sure that the person answering the phone does not understand english actually. He is trained to say basically what the caller wants to hear, which is anything but the truth!
Then, the shuttle didn’t show until almost an hour late! Every time we called the company to find out where it was, the answer was the same evasive one — it is coming and is stuck in traffic, we have no information about when it is coming, it will come when it comes — really??? no information about where their own driver is? No way to find out? no way to contact dispatch or the driver? I know this to be a lie, because this same person on the phone had directly called the dispatch person to make sure I was on the shuttle schedule! And there was no traffic at all. All other shuttles picking up from same location came and went on time! Of course, any legit company would know how to plan for pick up if they knew what they were doing. Also, when talking with another shuttle company driver, they actually said «oh the company you are waiting for almost never shows!»
When the van finally arrived, they didn’t have information on 2 passengers even though their credit cards were charged already. And then the driver informs the passengers that he has stops to make along the way — this was supposed to be direct Miami to Naples — every person on the shuttle was told direct to where they were going, but guess what? everyone was going somewhere different!!!
The driver proceeded to go to the airport in Fr Lauderdale! hmm how is this direct from Miami to…
He then stopped in the middle of the highway and almost had us killed by traffic. Once he got going he texted the entire drive — a drive by the way that he was speeding to try to make up time because of course he was way behind the supposed schedule.
We have learned always read reviews on Unilocal before booking anything. This company is just one big lie after another. I think they are not a company at all, but 2 people scamming as many people as they can! It is a miracle that I actually arrived in one piece at my destination. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and any other entity to get these folks shut down, and you should too if you are reading this.
If there could be a no star rating, this is one that gets it!!! Run as fast as you can away from these people!

Where to begin? So many things wrong with this company: Completely unreliable, unethical, apathetic, and a hostile, useless out-​of country phone center with no connection to the shuttle service.
They cancelled the shuttle a few hours before it was scheduled to pick up my daughter, offering her a later shuttle, well after her Orlando flight departed. They then offered her an earlier time, then cancelled that. My daughter was in tears and stressed so badly she nearly missed her flight. We had to charter a $ 230 private limo in order to catch her flight.
But wait, there’s more!
We reserved a week ahead online for my daughter to be picked up at her home, and payed $ 18 extra for this service. A few days before her reservation I got an email saying they could not offer that service, that it was written into the notes online. Fair enough, but when I called to clarify, the phone center attendee (clearly an out-​of-​country telephone answering service) was unsympathetic and unpleasant. No way to call a person at the company; only email.
When I emailed, I got back an unpleasant reply that we were out of luck. My daughter called their call center, and the attendant hung up on her.
My next communication will be with the Better Business Bureau.

Over the phone they said they talked to the driver, and the shuttle was delayed due to an accident on the Interstate. They also said I would get a call back from them, as their phones were really busy, to follow up on the situation.
In the end, it was all lies. The shuttle never came, and was never coming. And I never got that call back, which was promised twice. They confirmed many times over the phone that it was indeed coming, that I didn’t need to look for alternative transport. After 3 hours, and all my other transport options having left Ft Lauderdale for Orlando, I had to find arrangements for the night. (after watching every van coming into the departures area for 3 hours, wondering if it was my ride, that didn’t actually exist)
I should have read the 100% negative reviews, like others said. Hopefully you are reading this before booking with them on their strange strange booking page. This was the first time I had seen one that asked for credit card details, before confirming if there was space available or not.
Also, when they e-​mail you the itinerary (which doesn’t have an itinerary), which isn’t final confirmation (confused? join the crowd), THEY PUT ALL OF YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IN THE E-​MAIL (including the CCV). This is a really bad privacy practice. If you leave your e-​mail open or it gets hacked, anyone can find that information with a search. Make sure you delete it, if you are unfortunate enough to book with them.
I’ve e-​mailed them to get a refund, and give them a piece of my mind. I’m actually assuming this won’t work, so will be disputing with my credit card company next week. (they said over the phone on the day that I would not be charged, due to ‘miscommunication’. Telling me that the bus was almost there, when it was never coming? That’s lying, not miscommunication.)
This has to have been the most stressful and dishonest travel arrangement I’ve ever been party to. And I’ve been to 35 countries, and traveled for months on end. If all travel is like this, I’d have stopped a long time ago. :-(It’s a shame it was in my home state, that this happened.

Stay away.
First mistake, we booked our van to pick us up at 12am (midnight) at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. They attempted to pick us up at 12noon, earlier that day. No biggie I thought. Better too early than too late. The pick up actually worked out very well and if that was all we had done with Florida Shuttle Transportation, this would be a five star review.
It was the pick up to go to the airport that is forcing me to write this review and subtract four of the stars.
We booked pick up between 4:30 and 5:00pm. The driver did not show up until just after 5:30. His attitude about being late was complete ambivalance which as it turned out wasn’t really his fault. Not only that, when he arrived he did next to nothing to help us to get our bags into his van instead opting to check his texts and e-​mails.
When we started driving to the airport, he continued to glance at his cell phione despite my asking him to please stop.
He became slightly beligerent and almost told us that we could find other trasnsportation if we would like. Obviously this wasn’t really an option sicne we were already late.
The driver spoke next to no english which somewhat explained why he didn’t attempt to calm us or appologize.
Traveling is stressful enough. If your looking for a way to add to the stress of travel, these are your people. If not, if you want a reliable shuttle service. USE A DIFFERENT ONE. You’ve been warned.

If you want to get to the airport on time — DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The customer service is terrible — they told me ‘it was not their responsibility to get people to the airport on time’. The shuttle never showed up at the scheduled pick up time and then when I called they were going to be an hour and 15 minutes late which would have caused me to miss my flight. I ended up taking a cab which cost 4 times more than the shuttle. Horrible!

Well, it seems I should have checked Unilocal before I booked on line on the 17^th of Feb 2013 for a pick up on the 28^th of Feb. I charged the $ 55.00 fee to my credit card in advance. I got the print out with a confirmation number. I showed up an hour early and waited two hours past the pickup time before making other arrangements. My calls were ignored and they never did show. This is a scam… DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! I never will and I will also be telling everyone I know to not use them either. We filed a complaint with Visa and disputed the charges.

Short story: Reserving and paying in full weeks ahead didn’t secure the shuttle. On the pickup date, we waited hours and eventually got a response saying no shuttle would be available.
We booked online a shuttle from Miami Port to Orlando two weeks ahead. We paid in full, expecting that it would make our reservation more secure. We got the confirmation that the shuttle will pick up us between 10:30am-11:00am on 12/​29/​2012. Around 9:15am that day, we called to ask whether the shuttle will come and whether it can come earlier. We were told that the shuttle would arrive in 15 – 30 minutes. We were quite relieved at that point thinking everything would be ok, not knowing this is just the beginning of a long stressful wait. After that we called every half an hour, and the responses were always that the shuttle would arrive soon. Around noon time, we finally got a message saying the shuttle wouldn’t come since they didn’t have one available.
Stay away from this company by all means.

I had a very bad experience with this company a week ago. Well in advance, I reserved a seat to go from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the Orlando airport. I called the evening before my expected pickup (scheduled for noon) and was told I’d receive a phone call from the driver 15 minutes before pick-​up. No call came, and when the driver didn’t show up at noon, I started calling to find out why. No one answered the phone, and clearly there was either no dispatcher or no one who wanted to inform me and the other person waiting to be picked up. Finally, 90 minutes late, the van appeared. The driver was competent and made the trip in the expected time. He informed us that he had been
dispatched from Miami and had been given no instructions to call me or the other passenger. If I had expected to make a flight, I would have missed it (I was traveling this way for a reason unrelated to a flight).
I have called the company at least 3 times since this event and have never received a call back or an apology. I guess they assume I’ll not be coming back to use their services again, but I let them know in my last message that I would be giving them a bad review on Unilocal. (Before writing this review, I saw something posted from another review site that reported a worse experience: after taking his money and confirming a ride, the van never showed and the company disputed that they ever said they served the area to which he wanted to go.)
