Autoway Transport

DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They are absolute jerks, and rip you off! Initially things were great, my husband and I were promised our vehicle would be in the new location in a timely manner, and we felt comfortable with the PROMISED price. However, things went sour fast. The person I was working with was extremely unreliable, never answered his phone calls or emails regarding the status of my vehicle, and he sounded extremely bothered by me anytime I was able to reach him over the phone. When a driver was finally organized, the man I was working with never even let me know what day the driver was going to show up, and he didn’t give me or the driver each others information. After I found out the vehicle was picked up, I made contact with the driver who was not aware of any of the arrangements I made with the man I worked with from the get go. When the driver called me to confirm his location, he told me that I was due to pay an amount that was $ 200 more than what I was promised. Of course I called the man I was working with, and he proceeded to tell me that I was misunderstood, and that I was «confused with all of the numbers I was told from previous transport companies,» and to «you and your wife should f#!K off,» to my husband. The driver even told me that i had been ripped off. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The man was absolutely horrible to me, and was doing anything to make a buck. If I could give this a negative rating I would, it doesn’t even deserve a star!

If there were negative stars, I would have rated my experience that way. Here are the brief points: I emailed JR (one of the owners) over the course of a few days. He didn’t ever call me back. I called them, and got in touch with Scott (a manager) who took my order and assured me that I was in good hands, and that he would take care of me. He didn’t ever call me back or email me as he said he would. I kept calling and leaving messages, and emailing. No response. Finally I got in touch with Andy (the other owner), and he was to look into the order and call me back. Or not. In total, I probably called about 20 times. Finally I spoke with JR, who again assured me he would get in touch with the transporter and call me by the end of the day. That was 2 days ago… haven’t heard a word. In total, I have been in touch with these shysters for almost a month. My truck is still sitting in the same place as when I first contacted them. If used car salesmen get fired for bad customer service, they would likely apply here for a job!

Not sure how this previous guy has such a great experience… i bought a car off ebay, used ebay’s suggested shipper with the lowest price (UShip — also a scam) and Autoway Transport picked up the bid. Oddly enough, they offered a price to deliver my car, i accepted, then they had 24 hour to accept my acceptance. ??? Well they didn’t, then they booked the delivery after another day. Only Uship requires that «I» make the contact to Autoway and finalize arrangements…
after several phone calls to Autoway, talking with people who say they are in the middle of dispatching a car and will call me right back, and never calling me back, i called and left several messages and this goes on for days… only to FINALLY get an honest «joe» at the other end who tells me THEY ARE A DISPATCHER! so that is where all my money is going!!! i pay UShip to dispatch, then Autoway to dispatch and a minimal amount is left for the actual driver to pick up my car… And they’re offering drivers a lousy $ 250 to drive my car from Long Island to Detroit! No wonder no one is picking it up!
Come to find out that their great 4.5 star rating is based on actual deliveries (only a few of the over-​all dispatched vehicles) and the hundreds of frustrated customers whom Autoway has not communicated with — not returning phone calls etc… read the CANCELED reviews for yourself!
