Founded in 1984, Dough Boys Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant serves a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, pizzas, and pasta and side dishes. The restaurant offers a children s menu that includes stuffed shells and sandwiches. It serves people in Dania Beach and Wilton Manors in Florida. Dough Boys Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant also provides a selection of wines, such as chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and white zinfandel. The restaurant serves shrimp scampi, mozzarella, cheese ravioli, garlic cheese breads, meatballs and chicken wings. It offers catering services for corporate parties, as well as disposable napkins, bowls and plates. Dough Boys Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant serves spaghetti, Greek tunas, and beef, crab and turkey items.

History

Established in 1984.

The «Doughboys» are actually identical twin brothers Scott and Randy Greenfield, who in 1984 at the age of 24 opened their first «Doughboys» on 17th Street Causeway in Ft. Lauderdale. Since that time we are very proud of the numerous endorsements and articles written about us from well respected publications such as The Miami Herald, Sun-​Sentinel, City Link magazine and the New Times.

We challenge the old saying «You can’t please everybody» by continually adding exciting new menu items each year and by maintaining our exacting standards of quality, value and service with each of our 250 plus… menu items!

We know of no other Pizzeria/​Italian restaurant that offers so much, so well, for so long with so many endorsements and we challenge you to compare our quality and value against anyone. To that End, you can usually find Randy hard at work at our original Ft. Lauderdale location or identical twin brother Scott in Pembroke Pines. Come in say Hello and enjoy!

The 1 is for Customer Service! Food 3 ½.
There was black grease on the counter and when I went to order it got all over me and my shirt. They said it must be from the Elevator guy a few minutes ago. The shirt is ruined. They asked if I got the grease out. I said No. They said sorry… But did not offer even to try getting it dry cleaned. I will Not be back!

Saturday afternoon and we wanted pizza but not an entire pie so we stopped at Dough Boys for a slice. The slices here are humongous; maybe each slice is a quarter of an entire normal sized pizza pie. One bite into it and it became apparent that this was not very good pizza; almost completely void of sauce, huge, and bland. We might as well have been eating a piece of cardboard. There is nothing worse than stuffing your face with something that isn’t very tasty. We both got a bad case of the runs after eating it. This pizza will fill you up but leave your taste buds starving. Stay far, far away.

Worst customer service ever. Ordered delivery been waiting for more than an hour. Spoke twice to this unprofessional, rude, no ethical skills, named Ramiro. Asked him about the delivery status, doesn’t even know. Then I asked him to cancel the order can’t wait any longer. And he is like ok whatever, no apologies whatsoever. Bad reputation for this restaurant. Been going there a lot. Never again, will make sure people know about this. Plus they never take your order right, always sent you something different.

Worst pizza I ever had!!! it was cold and no sauce what’s so ever! i regret not calling but I didnt even want to speak to them. Truly waste of 27 $ and dinner. @ least i didnt have that many carbs — becuase I only 2 slices. Stay Awayyyyy

We were in Fort Lauderdale for the night and this place had some good reviews so we checked it out.
The garlic knots were good although the garlic was uncooked which leaves it too bitter and a bit overpowering.
We got the two slice special. Great value for the money! The pizza was okay but not great. The cheese, sauce and pepperoni were all fine. The dough recipe was good but the bottom crust was far too thin and it was soaked in grease.
The service was exceptional! Our server took fantastic care of us and really made us feel at home.

Really great pizza. Unusual topic combinations. Love it. My fav is a Thai shrimp pizza. The crust is as good as they make in Brooklyn. French fries were not good. If you guys reading this review, please make them thinner :) thanks!

For the most part it has good food for cheap prices i wouldnt say the best in town but it was good food it was too cold to dine in had to sit out side sucked to sit outside they had 3 tables all bunch together looks like they should spread them out more and the flies came out soon as our food did and then there was a issuse with a man loitering in front… should have just order delivery

I probably should have checked Unilocal before coming here. Disappointed with the food. Lasagna was just sloppy, very salty, sauce almost watery like consistency, and there was cheese inside that didn’t look melted all the way. Probably worse lasagna I’ve had by far. Service was bad too. I walked in to order take out & as I approached the counter, no one greeted me. If I hadn’t said anything, I would have just been standing there. I had to ask if anyone can help me. I understand things get busy but sheesh at least let me know to wait a little. Acknowledge the customers presence. I don’t think I would come back here or recommend to friends.

This is my pizza delivery favorite in Fort Lauderdale. I’ve never been inside the actual store, so this review is purely based on Dough Boys Pizza. My favorite is the California dreamin’ Pizza for the name as well as the toppings. I love that there are eggplant cutlets on the pizza! I haven’t seen this at many places.
The delivery was a little slow this time, but I ordered at 8pm on a Friday so I really can’t even complain because of the timeframe. The driver was super friendly and greeted me with a smile. He even sprinted back to his car, so he must have had other people’s ‘zas waiting to be delivered!
I also got the garlic rolls which were a tiny bit too oily for my taste, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. They were also REALLY garlicky, but hey, at least I’m safe from vampires for a while.
All in all, the only place I order pizza from is Dough Boys because I love that they actually seem to care about the food they serve. Their crust is also pretty top notch in my book. It’s never greasy and just the right amount of crust to pizza ratio. You killin’ it dough boys.

Ordered lunch for my office staff today to celebrate Administrative professionals day. I phoned in the order 10 minutes after they opened. Unfortunately, when I returned to the office, I discovered the pizza was completely burnt on the bottom. I received several other suggestions from co workers on where to order pizza, and I obviously made the wrong choice. Never again.

Got a coupon in the mail. My girl friend and I phoned in an order for pick up. The food was the worst Italian food I have had in Fort Lauderdale. Fried Shrimp was burnt, and not edible. The Shrimp Scampi was small frozen shrimp in oil, with no flavor or linguine. The French fries were soogy, and the people working there, knew nothing about their menu. STAY AWAY. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER PLACES TO GO,

HORRIBLE customer service. I would give them NO STARS. Waited an hour for delivery at 3am to a location 3 miles from the restaurant and only received half of the order. Called the delivery lady who said she would be back with the other half, she never came back, so we never got the food or our money back and ended up spending $ 20 on their loaded fries that weren’t even worth $ 8. Called the restaurant and they kept hanging up on us without saying anything.

This meal was beyond disappointing. We ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni, onions (missing from the pizza but not the bill) and banana peppers. We also ordered a Philly sub and fries. We were told delivery to our hotel would be an hour. At an hour ten minutes we call to check on our order. At that time the driver calls to see which hotel we are staying at. Really? Regardless of this we could deal with it as long as the food was hot. Not even warm. I asked the delivery buy to taste a fry. He agreed the food was cold but it was because they were very busy. I guess that makes it ok. Order from Doughboy only if you like stone cold food.

Very late delivery. It took more than two hours to wait and have to call 3 times as they forget our order. The third time I called, they put me on hold and when I complain about the long wait, their employee (woman) is very rude. Very poor food service and very poor unfriendly operatorwill not recommend them and will not go back to them at all. One thing I can add positively, the delivery man is friendly.

This is a long time Ft Lauderdale restaurant that has consistently delivered yummy Italian in huge portions. Yes they charge for delivery but the cost is worth it, everything else around can’t compete with the lovely meals and excellent sandwiches. They’re open late only on Thursday thru Saturday night for the weekend warriors.
Deli meats are quality, meatballs sooo great, pasta always fresh and garlicky goodness rolls. Don’t miss out on the canolis either.
Quality and delivery combined come with a price these days if you don’t want fast food Italian. In my opinion it is worth the cost.
Never dined in before so can’t comment on the restaurant front of the house. Everyone on the phone has always been polite and truthful about their delivery time. Appreciate that honesty.

Tonight we called in an order for the old world style large pizza with plum tomato sauce, basil, & cheese. Decided to try this because of a $ 4 off coupon from the website. You get one topping with that so I added mushrooms, it was like a bruschetta pizza! Amazing!
So good & garlicky Crust=crisp & fantastic period. I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times now, everything was delicious and well worth it as far as price to quantity. Thank you Dough Boys! Great service, food, and quality. I enjoyed every bite. Just a note to other customers/​reviewers, this is not a fancy or romantic place, so don’t expect a wine & dine kind of dinner and don’t be picky! Just bomb ass PIZZA!!! Enjoy

I’ve never written a review before but my experience here was so bad that I wanted to write one. First of all the waitress wasn’t friendly and took into no consideration the customers order. I asked for a lemon with my water. No lemon. I asked for the southwestern wrap with out the bacon bits. Got bacon bits. Asked for my ranch on the side and though they did one thing right by not putting the ranch inside, they forgot to give me it at all.
The food was pretty awful too. The wrap contained food I could buy at the store and and put together myself. I even tried some of my friends pasta and meatballs and the sauce tasted like something that was taken out of a can and dumped onto some cheap pasta.
Don’t go here. Their fancy signs might fool you into thinking it’s something to try out, but don’t. You could definitely find something better.

Stranded in a hotel in Ft Lauderdale without transportation? These folks will delivery (for a fee). We got our food in about an hour. The salad was so-​so and I was really looking forward to a Greek salad. It just was so store-​bought-​like. The pizza was good. The wings were good, too. Delivery driver was very friendly. Roach cooked into pizza and delivered to office lunch on 11÷25÷15. Absolutely disgusting and they want to give us a credit. Everyone in the office is disgusted and we order from them all the time. BEWARE! They said it was an accident but roaches are not accidents. And what about the guys cutting the pizza? He didn’t even see it and they delivered it just like that. Total order approx $ 185 and they offered a $ 20 credit!

The waitresses are rude and don’t really care for making sure they got your order right, nor do they understand the value of costumer service. Typically if there is an issue with your order they will try to make you feel guilty for it, and not really try to solve the issue. Their chicken wings are good as along as they’re cook properly,
Make sure you cut trough them and make sure they are cut throughly, and hope for the best. Hopefully you won’t receive the same customer service as I did.
If you’re able to pass those issues you’ll enjoy their food, that for the price is great
I hope to write a better review next time I adventure to stop by this place.

Came here on a Tuesday night with my husband and kids and was instantly greeted by Michelle. We sat down and had our pizza (extremely large slices, btw)
I seriously LOVE their pizza, it always taste fresh.

Had lunch today at dough boys. The family and I were on our way back from the beach and we were hungry. Stopped in at dough boys and got a large pizza and the big house sslad. Also tried there mouth watering garlic rolls and they were terrific. Place Was Pretty busy but Seem To Run Like A Well Oiled machine. Totally happy with the left overs as well…

Dough boys on 17th at causeway, parking can be tight a times. Take out counter or 8 sit down tables. Lots of mirrors & neon, not big on décor or ambience, bathroom small, could use some paint. Waitress was super friendly. Fountain drink w/​refill. Salad fresh, Garlic rolls big, warm & delicious, I like the old fashion regular spaghetti & meat balls or bake ziti, sausage & peppers, always so much food have to take some home.
When I have ordered to go items twice my order was wrong when I got home so beware. They do stay open very late some nights, one of best low cost Italian meals.

$ 5 for two extremely large pizza slices and a fountain drink. That’s not a bad deal. This is the place you go to when you’re starving but either are short on cash or nothing else is open. The pizza was mediocre, as were the garlic rolls. But the prices are cheap. For 6 garlic rolls it was maybe $ 2. Beer is $ 3.50. Overall pretty cheap. I’m not sure about the rest of the menu. When I came into town late at night this was one of the only places open that served quick food. I was stuffed.
On a side note when you walk in do not expect anyone to acknowledge you behind the front desk. The place was almost empty but it took a good 10 minutes before the waitress from the floor acknowledged us, which quite frankly wasn’t even her job. We were standing at the front counter trying to place an order for carry out. The two people behind the counter never acknowledged us. The waitress was pleasant and attentive so we ended up sitting down in her section for dinner instead.

Ok, this review is 4 stars for what it is… a non-​pretentious neighborhood pizza joint with tasty food, huge portions, and friendly service. It is not gourmet, that’s not why you come here. You come here for some greasy good pizza that’s open late!
They have order at the counter during the day and table service at night. I looked at the reviews and realized most are negative because of delivery. I myself have had bad experiences with delivery, so do yourself a favor and eat inside.
The portions are humongous and definitely worth sharing! They also have 2 huge slices and fountain soda for $ 6, which is a steal.
Their dinners (that you can order during the day and easily split with a friend) come with a salad and 5 amazing garlic rolls. If you aren’t into the greasy stuff, they have lots of choices for large salads. There is something for everyone.
