WORSTMANAGEMENTEVER!!! Although we have historically liked this place, I must share the recent TERRIBLE experience we had with this place. We had intended on having our wedding reception(A casual, fun affair) at this location. After more than a month of planning and emails confirming our plans and pricing, the Owner contacted us with bad news. HECANCELLEDOUREVENT with LESSTHAN48HOURSNOTICE!!! Unilaterally said«nope, I can’t do it for that amount or in that way!!» After explaining that his management had confirmed our rate and time and location, he simply disavowed his own management and claimed«no responsibility» for the actions of his management… WHAT??? I am a business owner and that is NOT something you should EVER do… Needless to say, we made other arrangements and they turned out great, NOTHANKSTOBRINY’S!!! I will NEVER eat here again, and I strongly suggest that people think twice before bothering to support this business owner!

The food is average pub fare. We had sliders(2) and beef ribs which were yummy. We liked the location as you could watch the canal. The service was inexperienced so it is unfair to comment.

OK, this is not a «great Irish pub» of American but it is on the river, has a great bartender outside, good attentive staff, fun atmosphere and decent food at a reasonable price. ALSO, for special events(Went there Saturday after the SPD parade and last night on StPaddys day as well) they do an AMAZINGJOB of getting food out fast, hot and correct and opening extra bars. Even the temp staff was amazing at making everything go smoothly even with 10x the usual crowd!

I have been to this location before and enjoyed the cosmos… and the fish and chips. Went there this evening… as usual the cosmos were spot on. On my recommendation my husband ordered the fish and chips. The fish was mealy… not flaky like previous orders. My husband picked at it in order to find more palatable areas of the filets to no avail. So I asked the waitress to make it right. She returned and apologized but the manager said because it was mostly eaten they could not take it back nor take it off the bill. When I objected she apologized again but was powerless to do anything. In the restaurant business… there are two no-nos…cold/undercooked food and poor quality food. Both are easy fixes. We paid the check and left. The chicken shit manager didn’t have the balls to apologize in person, didn’t make it right, and clearly needs a vision checkup if he can’t tell the difference between a dish that has been picked at and one that has been eaten. We cannot recommend this restaurant in good conscience if they can’t make a simple issue like this right. We will find other places for our business.

The restaurant was empty when we went in on a cold night. The place was kind of odd we thought. For an Irish bar there really was nothing irish about the place– all nautical. I got the Shepard pie and cant say for sure but I was up all night sick as a dog and… no… alcohol was not involved. I was not impressed..

I was visiting from out of town with a friend. This was a fun place to eat in the open while watching people on the riverwalk and boat traffic on the river. The highlight was our waitress Olivia, who was on her third day in her job. She was all smiles and very attentive. Good job Olivia! My friend thought the fish and chips was great too.

I came in Sunday to watch NFL and I enjoyed the atmosphere so much I hung around for the 4 o’clock games too. They take the nautical theme to the next level and its the best location on the riverfront. Good bar food, fish n chips is huge

Go elsewhere. Everything here is cheaper or better elsewhere. The hummus platter has 3 chips in it. 3. 123.

Eat at the Bar and say hi to Bill(bartender) Do have the onion rings Do have the blue cheese burger One morning Bill served us two mimosas — and squeezed the orange juice right in front of us. This is a tourist restaurant with a locals bar — the outside bar

I stopped here with a friend on a recent Friday night at around 11:30 for an after dinner drink and to catch up, as we’d not seen each other in a number of months. I like the location of this bar, right on the New River, adjacent to RiverWalk and near the Broward Performing Arts Center. They have a bunch of screens for watching sports, a ton of fishing gear, ropes, boating equipment and«stuff» hanging from the ceiling. Behind the outside bar, they had an elevated stage where a guy was playing a keyboard and singing during the first 15 minutes we were here. Though it was only 11:30, the server who came to our table told us we could only get 1 round with her, and then she’d need to cash us out as she was leaving, and after that we’d need to go to the bar to get our drinks. A bit odd, but OK. We each ordered a Blue Moon draft, the total came to just under $ 13 before gratuity. I’m sure this place is fine and would be a lot of fun if you hit it at the right time, but I was surprised to see it had fizzled out that early on a Friday night.

Seltzer tasted like they haven’t cleaned soda machine in years. Key lime pie crust was mushy and terrible(filling was good) and the rest of the food was so salty it was inedible. I think the people that gave this place good reviews were drunk because the food was nasty at best.

Location right on the River Walk is great. We went on a Tuesday night on a hot August day and sat outside anyway for the view. I had NY Sirloin which was good(not great) and the wife had pan seared scallops that were not seared. I don’t understand how you can send out a plate called pan seared scallops and not actually have a sear on the scallops. My wife said they were pretty good regardless. Service was good. I would go back especially for the location.

Nice restaurant by the river. We got the Asian nachos, crab dip, and chicken apple flat bread. I love love love their pita bread/chip that came with the dip. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dip was also super creamy and delicious. The Asian nachos were bomb too, love the sauce that came with it. Service was quick and friendly. I would come back here for their pita chips if I ever visited Florida again!

This is a great spot on the river; excellent views of traffic passing by on the river and handy to the water taxi. We were there on a weeknight and the whole area was completely empty so I can’t speak to crowded weekends. The outside seating was great though; covered with a good view, and lots of décor to keep you busy if the scene doesn’t have much going on. The service was pretty attentive; our waitress was still working on her English, but she was very friendly and almost overly-deferent. The food was not nearly as good as the Pompano location, but it wasn’t bad. A place to take out-of-town friends/family but not a culinary destination.

The best part about Briny is that it’s riverside. What better way to spend a lunchtime or grab a bite to eat than on the waterfront in South Florida, after all, that’s what people spend hundreds of dollars to come here on vacation to do. It’s idylic Briny gives you all of that which you dream about in an active riverside surrounding with it’s nautical themed décor and outdoor seating and boats moving along the river, everything to give you that lazy hazy I don’t want to go back to work feeling. The food is mediocre however. A group of us came here for lunch one day and ordered a myriad of food. A burger, a veggie sandwich, a flatbread, a shrimp skewer dish with a side of Cesar salad. The burger had to be sent back because it was ordered well done and came back dripping blood, the flatbread was overly cheesed and while the veggie sandwich was tasty, the portobello was the flattest skinniest mushroom I’ve ever come across. We had ordered a couple of ciders to go with our meal and had to send them back. One person called it skunky, I prefer to say that it was uncarbonated. The Stella’s we ordered instead were great. I will come back, but will order differently to see if the food is different. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

We stopped in here on a Friday afternoon to kill some time before our riverboat cruise left. We chose to sit at the outside bar. The bar tender informed us that there wouldn’t be any drink specials until happy hour, and we all placed our drink orders. The drinks were pretty small for the price, but I guess with the waterfront location I should expect higher prices. I found the bartender to be ok, but not overly friendly. One thing that bothered me a little were the number of fruit flies as the outside bar. I get it. It’s South Florida, it’s hot, and with sugary drinks around it’s bound to happen, but I can’t help but think they could keep it under control a little bit better as it made question the overall cleanliness of everything. Getting off the cruise, as I had been avoiding using the boat port a potty bathroom, I reasoned that since I had paid(a good amount) for drinks here earlier I was allowed to use their bathroom here. When I came out I found my friend sitting at the inside bar with a glass of wine waiting for me… happy hour had begun and they were half price. We enjoyed a few more drinks and a few bar snacks inside. I found the bartender inside to be friendlier and the atmosphere to be much more clean. For food we did a plate of onion rings and a plate of calamari. Both were pretty much standard fried bar food, but it helped to soak up the drinks.

My friends and I were in the area and stopped in at the bar for some drinks to kill time. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were pretty good. In the outdoor patio area there is a bar, high top tables, and some regular tables. The atmosphere of the bar is fun. Lots of nautical decorations all around and it is nice to be right by the water. The food that others around were ordering looked pretty good, mostly fried bar food kind of stuff.
