We are a family-​oriented R.V. park and campgound located in the heart of the Russian River Valley. We are open for R.V. spaces year-​round and tent camping from April 20th to October 15th. Our weekends fill up fast with wonderful visitors! We are a Good Sam Park and offer great discounts through Good Sam Parks. We are on the Russian River and have access to the water from our park. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A general store is available with ice cold drinks, novelty items. In addition to the postcard greenery, from the giant redwoods and Russian River, the area is set amidst several world-​famous wineries. Korbel Champagne Cellars is adjacent to our property, while the quaint town of Guerneville offers shopping and dinning just a few miles away. Various activities, including watersports, are located near River Bend Resort. We are only three miles away from well-​known Burke’s Canoe Rentals. 2012 is going to be a big year for us! History

Established in 1950.

We are a family-​friendly RV park and campground located in the heart of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Originally built in 1950, visitors from San Francisco and beyond have been drawn to River Bend Resort for decades due to the ideal weather, world-​famous wineries, and access to the gentle and cooling waters of the Russian River.

Many outdoor activities including ziplining, hiking, canoeing, swimming, backpacking, and fishing are all available near River Bend Resort.

Burke’s Canoe Trips is just 3 miles away offering canoe trips that run right through our resort and on to the Pacific Ocean.

A general store is available offering ice cold drinks, food provisions, and novelty items. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, water spicket, and fire ring.

Our stay was great. The campground was a great destination for us last weekend. We drove up from the city Friday after work, the manager stayed open late to meet us, and later way after the store was closed he opened the door to sell us firewood so we could have a fire on our first night.
We spent the whole weekend there, made breakfast on the campfire, dragged our stuff to the beach and got sun and swam till we were starving and then we walked over to the Pub next-​door (huge bonus!) and had dinner. The next day, rinse and repeat.
We’ll definitely be back (actually just booked this weekend, so it’s two weekends in a row for us.).

What a beautiful location along the Russian River. The RV Park and the campground are very well kept up with. Along with the beach at the river, there are many other amenities available for everyone like an arcade (with air hockey & video games) and another game room (with a pool table, pinball and video games) to horseshoes and bocce ball to a basketball court. They have activities like movies for children, face painting and BINGO as well!
The staff is super friendly and are always eager to assist you. They will even deliver firewood so you don’t have to lug it out to your site yourself! There is a nice little general store (at the check in office) where you can find everything you need from ice to various beverages and food items to fresh coffee in the morning. Oh yeah… they have everything you need to make smores too.
If you’re looking for an awesome place to get away, the River Bend Resort is THE place to go!

We called at the last minute and were lucky to get a terrific campsite with a view of the river. A beautiful spot, good facilities, friendly staff and the adjacent beach is a great place to spend a fun, relaxing day. It’s rocky so bring your water shoes. Only minor negative was the pay shower didn’t have any hot water when I tried to use it, but not a big deal. Otherwise, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to camp.

We just moved up from San Diego and we were at my parents for the weekend — decided to get away for the night and this place couldn’t be more perfect! We rented one of the cabins with bunk beds. It’s was amazing! The fan was great during the day and the little heater made it cozy all night! It’s so easy to be able to «camp». You can bring your sleeping bags and swimsuits but don’t have to load up all the tents and camping gear. The cabin had its own fire pit and table. It’s big enough to move around and cozy enough to stay warm. The bathrooms were close and very convenient.
The owner even brought over some fire wood and s’mores — and being pregnant let me tell you, it was heaven!!! The baby slept all night and we got some much needed down time by the fire! Everyone was so friendly and respectful.
This will definitely be our new weekend getaway! And a morning highlight was breakfast in town and picked up snacks and Safeway. The location is absolutely perfect!!! Thank you for a our little family vacation. See you soon.

This was my 4th-​5th trip to this gem of a campground next to the Russian River. Now under new ownership, there have been some MAJOR improvements made from seasons past. Camp sites are clean, spacious, and well maintained — garbage is emptied regularly, and our site had a new table and new grill cover on the fire pit. Bathrooms are clean (though they were a bit crowded and kept running out of paper); and there is a private beach with direct access from the campgrounds. The have family geared events such as face painting and movies shown in the grove (I believe this is only on the weekends): and also have an arcade with video games, pool, and pinball. I had a chance to meet the one of the new owners (Michelle), and she was very friendly and extremely customer service oriented! The highlight of our trip was Sean, who was the most attentive and helpful staff member anyone could ask for! With little perks like ice and firewood delivery to your site, dog friendly policies, and family oriented events this is an ideal campground for families or groups looking for a relaxing weekend at the river. We will continue to camp here and support this amazing group who is reinventing one of my favorite places to get away.

Easy to find. Staff were very friendly. Bathrooms were OK, but in good shape. Small store for stuff. Dog and kid friendly.

Overall Experience: FANTASTIC AND WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!! The New Ownership of the campground is fantastic. The manager Sean was fantastic to talk with, walked my wife and our two kids down to our campsite, and even brought the bucket of firewood down with us. The campground and beach were very clean, and well tended to. The restrooms and showers were surprisingly clean as well. We stayed in Campsite H3 towards the back of the campground which is a site I highly recommend. Our two kids had a fantastic time at the playground and playing along the beach which is a short 3 minute walk from our site. The manager Sean came down twice to check on our stay and he could provide us with anything to make our trip more enjoyable. He even took our son Jayden on ride in the golf cart because he kept trying to climb in and drive it every time Sean came by.

The bad reviews crack me up! I’m guessing most of them are from before the new owner purchased the campgrounds. There are 2 sections the RV part and the campground/​cabin part. I made reservations last minute on a holiday weekend so I had a spot in the RV part. Hey I was happy to be camping– and hanging out at the river!
Dust yes. But not anything more than one would expect when you camp!
The campground section was filled with families, kids running around, and people having a good time! Office has necessities such as ice, firewood, snacks etc. can buy tubes for the river and they have air to fill up your tubes/​floaters.
The cabins are cute they offer beds instead of pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground.
Showers bathrooms all never caused me any concern.
May cost a little more than normal camping but this is more of a resort as the name mentions. Most campgrounds don’t offer face painting, movie nights, an arcade. Great family place! I can’t wait to come back this summer!!!

Geeee what can I say. Young girl working there could care less if you stay and was not helpful at all. I left after getting that attitude, who wants to stay where nobody cares! Too crammed packed too! Can you rate no stars?!

If you are looking for Russian River camping, look no further. River Bend is our new favorite campground! We tent camped here a couple weeks ago here for the first time and it was such an incredible weekend. Check-​in was easy, we got to our site (#4 is awesome) and headed down to the beach. The river was calm for the little kids to swim and play and even jump off the Big Rock if brave enough! The scenery down by the river was so beautiful and peaceful.

We forgot a few things that we easily picked up at the General Store on site. The bathrooms were clean (a must!) and there are hot showers (!). We loved the stunning views of the vineyards near the back of the campground — how often can you camp right next to vineyards?!
The kids were in heaven the whole weekend with the playgrounds, the arcade, the FREE face painting and the movie night! Such a memorable experience for the little ones.
We will definitely be coming back here.

My family and I are regular tent campers in Northern California — typically camping in state parks such as Salt Point, Russian Gulch, Hendy Woods, and areas around Tahoe. I don’t normally write reviews on our camping locations but we were so impressed by a recent stay at River Bend Resort that we felt compelled to do so.
Our family had the pleasure to tent camp here for the first time in mid-​October and this is hands down our favorite location to camp anywhere in California. We had one campsite for our entire family of four and it was more than enough space. If our kids, aged 4 and 7, were not down at the private beautiful beach on the Russian River swimming and rafting, then they were at the well-​stocked arcade, getting their face painted, playing bingo, or at the playground on site. At night, they show an outdoor movie that is a treat for the whole family to enjoy amongst the trees and stars. Also, the showers and restrooms are about the nicest you can find in any campground.
To cap off our perfect weekend, the owners, George and Michelle, were so nice and hospital. They were both on the premises — personally ensuring their guests were properly comfortable. Michelle provided us with a list of things to do in the area including the very cool and quaint town of Guerneville just 5 minutes away. My wife and I discussed that we both want to come back to Riverbend someday without the kids — just to be able enjoy everything the area has to offer.
So with kids, no kids, tent camping or in an RV — you will not be disappointed with River Bend Resort. Just be sure to bring swimsuits and water gear for the kids for the private river access. Also, make sure you take a few extra days off of work — because you may want to stay longer than anticipated.
Lastly, they have a gigantic Paul Bunyan on the premises. I should have started and ended with this statement. They have a gigantic Paul Bunyan on the premises — that alone is worth your stay.

Back again. 5th time. They have expanded the park and it is better then ever. All the negative reviews about being in a trailer park. This part is separate and secluded and quiet and beautiful and has easy lake access. My favorite place to camp and my once a year getaway

We made reservations here for Sept and decided to check it out beforehand. So glad we did! $ 60/​night for a tent site that backs up to someones backyard and is maybe 6 feet by 10? It looked more like a parking spot then a campsite. No clue how we were supposed to tie our dogs up in the hard concrete/​gravel either.
The only good thing was how easily they let us cancel.

On a last minute bender, my friends and I decided to go camping. We arrived in Forestvile at 10pm. It was Memorial Day weekend and as you could imagine places were filled to the brim. Luckily enough for us the staff at River Bend were more than helpful and welcoming! They were able to find a great campsite for us! The staff there seemed pretty happy and friendly. The camp site itself was beautiful, lined with trees and blackberry bushes. I was able to zen out while walking around exploring the area. Kids seamed to play at ease while others sat around campfires stargazing. The river beach access is a short walk from your tent or cabin. You can also bring your dogs! I recommend River Bend Resort for your next Russian River extravaganza!!!

My girlfriend and I showed up on our bike as we were bike camping late on July 3rd. We had been biking around to all the camp sites thinking that there would be bike/​hike in camping that we could ride into… to our dismay NONE of the campsites in the area had hike/​bike in so we were out of luck.
It was nearly 8pm when we rolled up to River Bend and we immediately saw the «Campground Full» sign. We were starting to get desperate, yet before we even had time to turn around to leave, Kelly approached us asking if we were just on our bikes and that she had a spot that we could use. She didn’t even charge us! She knew that we were really in a bind and was incredibly generous!
Thanks so much Kelly! You really saved our July 4th!

This was our first time staying at Riverbend, but I would definitely go back.
We had two camp sites for our family, which was more than enough space. It was a little hard to find our sites originally since they are past the RVs, but it was nice to be farther from the road and closer to the beach area. They also had little «cabins» to stay in as well.
They allow dogs, so we had 2 with our family and they did great.
The bathrooms were great! The ladies had a large vanity with multiple sinks, a ledge to place your items, and a large mirror. It also had hot and cold water to wash your hands with.
They have a little arcade, horseshoes, and some other activities nearby. The Riverbend Pub right outside the campgrounds is also a must.
I would definitely visit again.

We stayed here in mid April for 4 days and while we loved it I would caution that I think your experience will largely depend on when you come and how many people are here. We moved to site 14 (there was almost nobody else in the temporary part of the park) and loved it. Best view of the water and good trees on both sides for privacy. Full hook ups and plenty of space for a 32 foot RV. The staff was very kind and helpful and park felt more or less clean. River Road is pretty busy and you can hear traffic but it never gets too loud. Guerneville is a short drive away and Korbel Winery is a 20 minute walk if you’re feeling adventurous (there’s a bike lane but, again, traffic moves fast). The path down to the river is definitely not for kids and there’s not much space at the bottom to hang out (go to Stumptown Pub up the road for easier access). There’s also a decent little burger/​pub right next to the park. All in all a pleasant little park (especially when it’s not too full).

My best friend and I booked 3 campsites her last minute for this last weekend (got home last night) We booked it before we read the reviews. I read the Unilocal reviews the night before we left and got VERY worried so I actually drove up with a BAD ADDITUDE!
When I got there I was pleasantly surprised. I just have to say it was absolutely the best time! It is true. there are permanent residents in the back and they are as nice as can be. When we went on walks they all smiled and said hello. Most of their yards are so cute and decorated. They let us stop to pet their animals and theres even a little old lady kitty who trots about and lets you snuggle her.
I think the residents are actually a plus because they take pride in the area they call home.
Campsite — It is true that there are some campsites near the highway — but the highway is above you but when you are laughing and having a good time you really do not hear it. The chirping birds and blue jays are much louder. Camp sites were clean and have actual Grass for you to pitch your tents on. One cool plus was each site had a power source. So you could plug in a radio charge your cell phone or use your pump to blow up floaties.
It has a tiny little general store and the Gal in there was really nice and surprisingly NOTHING was overpriced. In the back of the camp ground there was a parking lot you could drive to and a path to get down to the River beach. I don’t know if the beach is part of their property but i must say it was a very clean beach. BRING WATER SHOES because like all rivers it is rocky. The kids jumped off the rock and we watched all of the kayaks float by with water guns and we floated all day. it was great.

I thought it was important to write a review today because I was so turned off by the past reviews I think someone might really miss out on a nice place. Sometimes we tend to only review when we are crabby and we forget to write a review when we have a nice time.
Only reason I didn’t give full stars is: I think we paid 35 a night per site for the first two people and 10 each additional. I have 5 children and my friend had 3 so it got a bit pricey. I wish the price was 35 for a family of 4 and then went to 10 $ each additional. But its not my business to run and I will still come back. :)
We will be back for sure!
