MTA – 63rd Drive Rego Park Subway Station

Super sucky service today, supposedly due to construction. Waited good 20 minutes for an R train.
I just Don’t understand the MTA’s concept of «service». They treat the passengers like an afterthought or an inconvenience.
I can’t let them off the hook. Someone made a conscious decision that it was OK to leave hundreds of people waiting on the platform in order to get some track work done.
For the amount of money we pay in fares and subsidies, they ought to be able to do all the work at night. Their employees all milk the overtime anyway.

Very dirty. However, there is usually a MTA personnel at the ticket window to help. And there is also a person selling chips and water.

I do NOT like the separate entrances inside the freaking station for Manhattan & Queens trains. Horribly inefficient when most other places that have separate entrances are ones where you have to go outside and walk to the other entrance (where a division actually makes sense). This just seems an inefficient use of design.
At least you get phone reception here but it’s definitely not the cleanest station in the world. It’s also a local stop so only the R & M come here. At least there’s a lot of stuff when you get outside.

It’s a subway station. Trains stop here (not the G, we need an updated picture there). It will get you to a cool neighborhood…

Came here all the time to visit my cousins when they lived in Rego Park back in the day.
Safe enough during daylight hours. Not awful — but not awesome.

I’m here twice a week– it’s OK for a subway station and kept pretty clean.
