So far so good. It is super convenient for us as we live in a walking distance from the school. Regarding the comment about the number of Chinese students that are in the classrooms — I think it is not the school but more the neighborhood — Forest Hills. There are a lot of Chinese people living here hence, there will be many Chinese children at the school. My daughter first went to the Preschool of America in Forest Hills for few month before we switched to Ivy. Comparing the two schools, I much prefer Ivy School. Teachers/quality of food, organization of classroom is all much better here. Plus, I like that this school offers children to learn second language The tuition is similar between the two schools so I am not sure why there would be a comment regarding the prices as it seems like this is in line with the market rate of daycares/day schools. Teachers here go above and beyond for the students. Although I feel many parents are rude and do not follow the school rules such as folding up their strollers. If parents don’t follow simple rules I dont udnerstand how their children will grow up to learn to follow rules.

It’s actually not bad. In our class only 3 – 4 Chinese students. Teachers are nice and responsive. Directors is professional and experienced. Good for working parents and we are benefit by full day UPK program. My daughter loves to go to school, even ask for going to school in weekend.

We started the day care a few months ago, so I will write a review now and will update it as I see changes or have more experienced there. So to make it easier: PROS: Location on Queens Bvd, close to subway Clean, colorful, very pleasant venues Good division for small classes: 2 – 2,5 and 2,5−3, 3 – 4 etc. this was a smart decision Professional director, responsive and overall very nice staff Not too many holidays(official ones, and only 1 chinese holiday) Nice Indoor playground Nice activities Caring for children overall CONS: Prices! too expensive compare to all day cares in the area No flexibility for transitional time or time away(if less than a month): same full price Educational Director(Russian Speaking) is abit unwelcoming, can be scary to us and children but she means well(well there is actually a new one now) Some teachers need to be a bit more soft spoken, they yell too much at the kids especially the small ones who cannot repeat to their parents and thats abusive still no outdoor playground since the opening, we missed on the good weather and feel it is too much like a basement no windows and no parks Bigger classes are not mixed enough, Chinese majority 95% That’s it for now! will update soon Some updates: I am thinking of taking my kid out after I heard from a friend whose sister worked in the Flushing office(most teachers transferred to FH) that the teachers would yell too much at the small kids, not kind and not patient enough vs the biggest kids who seem to be doing better. Now that I know this info, I paid more attention and I noticed some Chinese teachers speaking very striclty to kids, so I do not feel comfortable anymore, maybe it is a cultural thing but I am not comfortable with it!
