All My Children Daycare & Nursery School

This review is specific for Ms. Mazol’s 3 – 4 year old class at All My Children.
My daughter loves going everyday to class and Ms. Mazol is absolutely a best teacher a child could have. She is patience, understanding, sweet but also firm so that the children listens to her. My daughter loves reading and learning all the new things Ms. Mazol’s class has to offer.
Yes, the classroom is small, there is no indoor gym, they do close for all Jewish holidays and the hours aren’t as long as other daycare but the love and attention my child got from going to this daycare was totally worth it. There is a large outdoor play space and small child size bathrooms in each classroom. All the teachers and assistance are very nice. Plus the food and snacks serve is Kosher and very healthy (plenty for fruits and veggies!!! My daughter didn’t have the fine motor skills to feed herself and she was an extremely picky-​eater but that all changed after she attended AMC.
Ms. Mazol also took lots of photos of day to day activities for the parents, wish is also another big plus! We have tried 2 other daycare facility and toured another for the last 2 years and AMC is by far priced very reasonable for the care you get.
If we didn’t have to move away I would have my daughter stay with Ms. Mazol as long as possible. She misses school. She misses her friends, but she misses Ms. Mazol the most!

So far I can only review on the FH summer program. You must call ahead of time for an tour appointment. The program director will go over all the information. The three classrooms are small (one for age group — 2, 3, 4 year old) Because it is in a house, there are windows in each classroom. The maximum amount of students that they will accept is 12 for the 2-​year-​old class. However I never saw more than 7 children at a time.
It took my son a lot of time to get acclimated with the routine while my husband and I had to go to work. The teachers would always try to answer any questions I had in the morning or my sitter would try to get a daily update of how my son was doing.
They tried to provide a weekly newsletter which help point out the big events (petting zoo, music, clown, water activities). There is also a consistent schedule. I found that my son would occasionally sing songs from what he learned from the class.

I tried to put my child in this daycare. I was able to get a tour and talked to the director. Overall I got the impression that it is a good and safe place. However I ended up choosing other dayacare arrangements for my child because this location is a little too far from where I live.

I am currently in the process of finding a childcare facility for my two year old son so I stopped by All My Children. First off, when I rang the bell, the young lady who came to the door opened the door just slightly as to not allow my son and myself in, I honestly didn’t take total offense to this since allowing just anyone in can be a safety concern. When I told her that I was interested in speaking with the director, she went to get the director who did the same thing, she actually came outside as opposed to allowing us in. Still, I continued. I informed her that I was a school teacher who was interested in finding placement for my child (who was with me at the time). She then informed me that there were no open spots within the daycare. She went on to tell me that the daycare was expensive, therefore it «wasn’t for me». Upon looking at my facial expression, she made every attempt to clean up that statement by saying that «all day cares have the same program» and «it doesn’t make sense to pay this much money when I can pay less somewhere else» along with «I even tell me friends to send their children elsewhere because of the price». Ultimately, she was completely unprofessional. She has no idea of the salaries of my husband and I and she was out of line. We determine what is «not for us», not her. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this center because one can only wonder the morals and values that are being taught to the children here.

I think you should really take the time to see if you like this place inside. I thought it was a small space for toddlers and they also had older kids there for their after-​school program. Not the place I would like to send my 3 year old. Parking around there is also very difficult.

My 2 years old daughter is going there next month — I was inside and the place looks great comparing to three other DCs that I visited in FH. However as Kaya mentioned there is no reviews. I asked 3 local Meetup groups for commends and got zero.

From what I can see from outside, it looks nice. It’s a house with a decent-​size backyard.
I’m considering sending my 2-​year-​old daughter to this daycare. I’ve searched everywhere but I can’t find any reviews. If anybody knows anything about this place, please write in. Thanks!
