I work in the Folsom area so this is a location I hit when I need some sweet gifts.
The service is good here. They know their product and can explain them well and even give some gift tips.
Quality of the chocolates and such are very good. They have a great selection of treats.
The price is a bit high, but they are in a main tourist trap type area. They do have specials.
A good stop for a sugar fix or gift box.

We love their chocolates candies and the fact that it’s homemade in the store. When ever we’re in the area on Sutter Street, we just have to stop by and get some candy or ice cream on a hot day. If you are ever there, you have to stop by in the old historic town of Folsom. They are always so nice.

Very delicious! Got two sundae with mint & one with cookie dough. Soo glad this dessert was next to our hotel.

The truffles lack a silky consistency that is easily identified when biting into a truffle. They contained a more chunky chalky texture with a less smooth sweet finish.

Five stars for how satisfied we are from the honeycomb we ordered online. The honeycomb is one of the best we’ve ever had. The texture was consistent and on point, and the chocolate was terrific (dark chocolate). Will definitely order from them again! Happy happy.

Ok, here it goes… Location, Location, Location! It doesn’t get any better than this with old, nostalgic, ice cream/​candy shops. Right on Sutter Street, in the middle of all the action in Historic Folsom. They make their own chocolate here and serve a variety of Dreyers Ice Cream. This is one of our favorite spots for a beautiful summer night ice cream treat.

Flew into town from Seattle… haven’t been to Snooks for quite a while, but just had to get some of the finest peanut brittle known to man! It’s the only place to get such incredibly thin brittle that just melts in your mouth. YUM!

Best chocolate ever!!! My favorite is their caramel praline sundae! It’s TDF! Yummy. We’ve always received wonderful customer service. Snooks is a must every time we visit Old Folsom. Love love love.

It was busy when we went but all we sampled was good:
habanero lime dusted caramel corn … spicy but tasty
salted caramel … very good
cashew brittle … excellent, some of the best I have had and very addicting
It is very good, but it will hit you in the wallet!

I stopped by on my way through Folsom (which I really liked).
I bought some chocolate. I thought it was a little pricey. And then I tried it. Really really good and fresh.

Why is it so hard to be in Folsom and looking for dessert in a pinch? We have faced this predicament a few times — sometimes in the day, sometimes at night — and we end up coming to Snooks for its convenient location and our penchant for ice cream.
I always get the hot fudge sundae with all the fixings. The ice cream and hot fudge are very good so no complaints there. Their portions are pretty small with a high price tag (~$ 5 for a single serving and $ 11 for a double serving which is normally the size one of me eats!) so value wise its poor. However, it is in historic old Folsom which makes it a tourist site for whatever reason.
I begrudgingly keep coming back after meals in Folsom, but maybe next time I will give their housemade chocolates a shot and see if it lives up to the hype!

I think the chocolates are just ok. Nothing special. They do have a wide variety of candies that my plus one enjoys (gummy bears, sour patches, jawbreakers). The bro really liked his strawberry and cheesecake ice cream. The little one liked the birthday cake ice cream. The chocolate covered honey comb had a nice texture but again, meh on the chocolate. I really wanted to try the black cherry but I’ll have to try it next time. I’d come back for the ice cream alone.

Horrible Customer Service doesn’t often create a great amount of returning customers.
I walked into this Chocolate shop with my girlfriend a couple of months ago and two young guys were working here. We were not greeted when we came in, we were basically ignored, and we noticed the two young men looked like they could not wait to be anywhere but where they were. They both had very unhappy looks on their faces.
After picking out some fudge and a couple other pieces of chocolate we payed on we were on our way. From the time we walked in and out I think the only thing I heard from either kid there was my total. And with that kind of service, the total felt very steep.
All in all the chocolates were fairly good but with that kind of treatment I can say I will definitely not be returning and I will be talking my fudgin’ money elsewhere!

A Folsom treasure! The chocolates are all made in house and are dreamy. The Snookers Bar is legit. Nothing better than strolling Sutter St. with a bag of Snooks.

I love me some sweets!
After dinner at Chicago Fire, my date and I strolled into Snooks. Three young men were working at the time and we were greeted promptly, even as it was 10 minutes before their closing time on Saturday night.
I ordered the «slow as a turtle» sundae, which I believe contained caramel, fudge, vanilla soft serve, candied pecans, whipped cream and of course, I had to have a cherry. It was a little smaller than I expected, at about $ 4.50, but tasted amazing regardless. My date had a chocolate covered cone with fudge tracks ice cream. To take home from the chocolate selection he chose a couple of milk chocolate peanut clusters and I went for the gold foil-​wrapped Irish cream.
We were definitely very satisfied with our selections and had to exhibit some self-​control, otherwise we could have gone a little crazy with our sweet tooths (teeth?)!

Never before have I felt so neglected and disrespected at a place of business.
I walked into the store with Jeremy, three people were at the counter, laughing and clearly not working. Not a single one of them said hello or asked if they could help. We checked out the caramel popcorn which I happen to love love love. The prices were a bit out of control but I considered buying a bag since I love it so much and you don’t find good caramel corn everywhere. Before picking up a bag we decided to check out the rest of the store. We walked around to the side in front of the counter and still nobody addressed us. Jeremy checked out the candy while I checked out the ice cream. Which is why I went in there in the first place, it was 107 degrees outside and I wanted something cold. I was looking at the ice cream, three staff were standing there, not a single person spoke to me, didn’t offer any help, advice or opinion on what the store was selling. To make matters worse, they all walked away, left the front of the store, I have no idea where they went.
I felt very bothered by this, where is the customer service? I looked at some more candy with Jeremy. When I mention the lack of customer service to him, he says he noticed and walked out of the store. I was really ready for some ice cream so turned around again and waited. A young girl came to the front of the store, looked at me, smiled, then walked away. Not a hello or can I help you.
Reliving here in this review is making me annoyed again. I won’t be going back to that store.

I have fond memories of Snooks. I have been going here since childhood at their old location. I would come here every year on a field trip and enjoy it just as much now.
They have everything from chocolates to ice cream to gummy candies. The prices are fair and the taste is delicious. I most recently had a semi sweet truffle and a dark chocolate peanut butter cup. Soooo good! Customers can also see into the room where they make a lot of their sweets.
They have indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy your treats. The staff is friendly.

This place is alright. When it comes to the chocolate, I really don’t know what everyone is raving about. It’s good, sure, but there’s really not much special about it, especially for the price.
They do have some flavors that might be hard to find at other places, like tiramisu and amaretto, but I really don’t think one truffle is worth $ 2. To be honest it all tastes kind of generic to me.
The customer service is usually stellar. So far they have been very accommodating of my weird drink requests, like an Italian soda with half cherry and half pineapple, with Sprite instead of carbonated water, a shot of cream and no whipped cream on top. (I would highly recommend this, by the way. Mmmm.)
They are usually, but not always, super clean.
