Painted

SO fun! I took my daughters soccer team here for a painting party event. The staff was great and made it super fun for the girls. They play fun music and have an instructor helping the kids. Painted also hosts wine painting parties for adults in their studio! I can’t wait to be back for future birthday parties for my kiddos and another painting party for the adults! :-)

We had such a blast !! The owner was super nice and talented !! And the vibe and music was perfect! Got me wanting to groove!

A few months past-​due. But still worthy a review.
Arrived at Paint with the wife and many of her friends from the ranch. It’s time to paint and drink (or is it drink and paint). I am not the patient artist type but, in support of a cause, why not. I had no idea «what» we were going to paint. For some of my Unilocal friends that know, you’ll understand why the subject matter is on-​point.
We arrived and selected my wine of choice found a seat with an easel in place. A bit crowded and with much space to put your drink down next to the wobbly cup of brushes — pretty sure this wine is gonna spill. I made sure to take a seat with a good view of the instructors stage. I arranged the my space to my liking and, as instructed, prepared my paper plate paint board with the colors necessary for this masterpiece-​to-​be.
As I explore the canvas and ponder tonights subject matter and where my masterpiece will appear, I discover a faint pencil outline of a horse, almost in the middle of the canvas. Seriously? I should have known.
We begin! Outline the horse with black. OK. Now broad sweeping strokes of the red color, following the example of the instructor. OK. Blend this yellow with more sweeping strokes in to fill in this white space. OK. More red! Paint a tree, like this. Put leaves on it. Fill in the horse! Do some reflective technique. Voila!
The process was fun and sometimes a bit slow as the perfectionists in the room took their time at each step. This did allow some time to roam the room. I was into checking others painting progress to make sure mine wasn’t the worst and determined that there just may be some artistic ability within.
The result wasn’t quite museum quality but the experience was entertaining. I do get impatient, not liking having to wait for others, but I do prefer to follow instructions, so I behaved. The wine and/​or beer element was very evident secondary to the process (but welcomed during the social breaks between instruction).

This was my first paint class like this. My mom came to visit from out of town and it was a great mother-​daughter activity. My only recommendation, for those that are having a birthday, maybe include some sort of freebie as icing on the cake — like a «Painted» cup with something in it, or a free glass of vino.

I had such a great experience here! I painted tonight and the artist was wonderful, helpful and funny! This is a great date night, girls night, family… really anything! It creates great memories and it’s so fun to see how different they all turn out! You don’t have to have any painting experience, just jump right in. They have step by step instructions, they show you how to do it and give you plenty of time to work it out!
They get four stars only because the brushes were not great. Mine were separating, you should tell they had been dried in weird positions. Also, they had you leave your brushes in the water while painting, which is not good for the brushes and probably added to the issue.
Other than that, plenty of paint was supplied and you could go and help yourself to as much more as you needed.

Painted rocks. I was first introduced to this place by some of the ladies at work, but I had a fun time and have been back several times. The owner Jen is a high-​energy fun instructor and does a great job of both instructing and motivating. It can be a bit daunting at first to see that empty canvas and all the artwork hanging on the wall, but there is a nice beer and wine bar which can help provide inspiration.
Jen has a nice approachable style and a rather eclectic iPod which makes for a great overall experience. She offers many different classes each month with lots of specials, but it is really fun to get a group together and head over to the Palladio for a fun night. I really love to see how each person interprets the subject matter and colors and creates a unique masterpiece. You can even wear your favorite superhero apron, but make sure you do not put your brushes in your wine!
This is a great place for everyone. There are special classes for kids and adults both, and even the most stubborn non-​art people usually leave with a smile and a fresh and unexpected masterpiece. Make sure to park behind the H&M and have a great time!

What a fun experience! I often tell people what a terrible artist I am, so I was nervous about attending a class at Painted. Studios. However, we had such a good time, and I am actually very happy with the result of my first painting attempt. The instructor made it so easy; all the materials were right there for us, she showed us exactly what to do and gave us plenty of time to do it, and the wine helped make it a relaxing experience as well as fun. I would definitely do it again.

Have my daughter’s birthday party here. And it was fantastic. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They kept an eye on all the kids and kept the session at a good pace.

I guess that I am going against the other reviews on here but my experience was less than expected. The place is over priced to paint ($ 40 per person) and the wine ranged from $ 4-​$ 10 per glass. Be aware that unlike other painting places you can not bring your own wine. There is a menu that you will only get if you ask for it. The menu actually has hot food items on it and looked decent.
The artists running the show were unable to handle the crowd of people. There were 40 people crammed into the small space so there was not room to relax and paint. It was difficult to get up to get more paint or use the bathroom. The instructors were outnumbered and unable to control the heavily intoxicated women at the table next to me. These ladies were very loud, spilled dirty water all over the floor and proceeded to get paint all over themselves. The instructors were difficult to hear over the noisy bunch next to me so we had to ask for things to get repeated often. The instructors really need to get a microphone of some kind for classes of 40 people. And be more aware that this is a family activity so they should not over-​serve people.
Also, the instructors do not teach you how to paint. They are more concerned with the people buying copious amounts of alcohol than helping you paint. So if you are not buying a lot of wine, be prepared to be ignored. They show you how to mimic what they do on the stage and offer very little variations for people that want to do something different. If you actually want to learn to paint in any way or want a fun family evening, I do not recommend this activity.
As a warning, the instructors will NOT give you a refund or voucher on sessions that are sold out. When I called to cancel the reservation in hopes to get credit for a future session I was told that it was sold out and there was a waiting list hence they would not give me a voucher?!? She told me they had a waiting list and I gave them 45 min notice prior to the beginning of the session, so why not give me store credit and take people from the waiting list? This business is seriously lacking management with any business acumen.

Omg! What a fun night out! Jen was a blast and made painting seem so easy! Really fun night out with friends and a great painting to take home and show off your «talent» great night! Thanks Jen!!!

I want to give this place 10 000 stars! This is, hands down, my favorite place to go! You can come with your significant other for a fun date night, your friends for a girls night, your kids… whatever! It is so versatile! Seriously. art fun with friends… food and wine. all while surround by cute clothes! I was in heaven!
Now I have no art ability WHAT SO EVER and you really cannot mess up your painting. The classes are extremely fun and entertaining and you will walk out with a beautiful painting regardless of your experience level. The less experienced you are the better because then the more shocked you will be by what you have been able to paint.
I cannot wait to come back again. If you have not been here you are missing out! It is a MUST MUST MUST GO!

So much fun! I met a few friends for a mommy’s night out, and we had a great time! Can’t wait to go back!

I love Painted! I can’t wait to return here! Whoever thought this store up is a genius. Wine, painting, fun with your girls along with cute clothes and gorgeous accessories for sale is brilliant!
We attended a class with about 20 people total. The teacher guided us through, step by step, how to accomplish our masterpieces. The class was laid back with no rushing or pressure. We had plenty of time to work on our art, and casually enjoy wine and pose for pictures all the while. Our teacher (who’s name I failed to get, but was awesome) played a great collection of music too to lift our spirits and get us groovin.
I was a bit intimidated at first due to my lack of painting abilities. However, as the glass begun, those fears melted away and the fun began. I can’t recommend this enough. Grab your friends and go!

I took my Mom to Painted for her birthday and she, my sister and I had such a wonderful time. We painted, sipped wine and created wonderful memories together. It was so fun! ~Then I noticed on their Facebook page that Painted hosts fundraisers, so they graciously agreed to host a fundraiser for my friend who is in need of treatment for a rare tumor. It was a fun event with all of my closest friends, we had a blast, created masterpieces while raising money for my friend Terri! It was so generous and gracious of Painted to do for us!
It’s so fun. I highly recommend getting a group of your best friends together for an amazing time of paint and wine!

Seriously one of the best date nights my boyfriend and i have had. We were there a little over 3 hours had wine and beer and was taught how to paint a beautiful picture. The ladies there are super nice and really helpful. Ill definitely come back

What a fun way to spend the afternoon. I came here with some friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. From the time I registered online until the time I left the service was exceptional.
Painted is located in a strip mall with a lot of shops and restaurants. The studio has a boutique feel to it. There is a small selection of clothes, jewelry and handbags you can purchase. They have a wide selection of wines to choose from and lots of paintings on the wall. They let us sample several wines and we finally selected a bottle of the blended white which was slightly sweet and buttery.
When we first arrived we got our brushes and paint. Everything was nicely laid out and the paint was marked with how many pumps you needed. Then we chose our easels and followed the instructor. She walked us through the painting step by step. I have never painted before and the instructions were really easy to follow. I liked blending the paints on butcher paper and creating colors the best. If you make a mistake you can just paint over it.
The first hour of the class everyone seemed to be taking it really seriously and were nervous about messing it up. But after we got the hang of it, and had more wine, it became much more relaxed and enjoyable. The experience and not the finished product is what makes it so much fun.
The one thing I didn’t realize is how long the class would be. We started roughly at 2:40pm and didn’t get done until 5:30pm. We had planned to do some shopping after painting but by the time the class was over some of the shops we wanted to go to were going to close soon.
I would highly recommend this class to anybody looking for something new and fun to try. f you plan accordingly you can make a whole day of it. I can’t wait to come back and paint some more.

My child’s friend had her birthday party here and it was super fun!!! This is an awesome place for boys & girls to get creative & have a blast too! There was an instructor who taught the class step-​by-​step, the instructor and her assistants walked around to assist the kids. The kids had an awesome time that they did not want the party to end.
This place allows you to bring in your own food for birthday parties with no extra charge. This place is clean, very comfortable environment, safe, & kid friendly. Great place for play dates for kids & parents too. Definitely coming here again as my child wants a future birthday party here.

Attended an event here recently with a group of about 20 ladies and had a fun time. There are great paintings on the wall so I initially felt intimidated, but the instructor gives step by step instructions so at the end of the two hours or so you walk home with a work of art you can be proud about.
Pros:
Fun vibe with music to inspire you
Wine bar with reasonable prices, 6 – 8 $
Clothes, jewelry, wine and art knickknacks. The kind of stuff you encounter at wineries these days.
Cons:
–Felt pretty warm inside. Everyone was sweating and I was glad to be in shorts and tank tops. I’m not sure if this is necessary for the paint or just a planning oversight.
— messy bathroom. The store is very boutiquey and cute and I expected more in the commode. I’m not sure what exactly, but it at least needs stocked paper items.
— I don’t like that it’s only 21 and up.
This would be a location for a date or girls night. It’s marketed heavily for girls nights out, but I honestly don’t see why dudes wouldn’t enjoy the place too. I think the next time I want to go out with a friend I will plan on paying a bit more and heading here instead of a movie.

went to painted Saturday night with a group of friends, I must say I was a bit worried about this painting that I was going to perform.lol. as I have not painted sinse in high school but the instructor was amazing and made it very easy.
the atmosphere and music and selection of drinks were amazing. I had a awesome time and can’t wait for my next trip to painted in Folsom thank you for a beautiful evening
