Blue Ravine Self Storage

Just vacated my storage unit after one year. Never had any problems with the unit, going in or out of the facility, or with payments. Few times I called about something my inquiry was handled very professionally. Good location in Folsom in nice area about 2 – 3 miles off US50. Easy access for large UHaul trucks but not semis. I’d recommend it.

Had a bad experience with this place. I reserved a storage unit over the phone and the person I reserved it with said she was fairly new and asked me to get her the size of the truck. I called the movers and were told that the moving truck was a full size semi but that they would unload and deliver the load in smaller trucks if Blue Ravine couldn’t handle the larger truck. I called Blue Ravine Storage back and let them know this so the space would remain reserved. A couple of days before the move, I called back and was told by the same woman that I had cancelled the reservation because the delivery truck was too large. Needless to say, I was not happy and asked her to check if there were still any units available. She said she would check and call back but she did not call back and ignored several subsequent messages I left on their voicemail. I have rarely encountered this level of incompetence and rudeness from any business I’ve dealt with.

The location is convenient and the security is very good. I only rented a small storage space but it was reasonably priced. The management is excellent and was helpful when I decided the storage was no longer needed. They cut my lock off which I forgot the Combo free of charge and gave me a temp lock until the next day when I moved out.
I’ll use them again if I ever need a storage unit.

My friend recently got expensive items stolen from her supposed «secure & safe» storage facility as this place claims on their website. The lock was not broken off and management recently move the security camera the opposite way of the units. When my friend reported it to management and said her boxes were all over the place and stuff has been stolen, the manger told her that «it must have been the earthquake that knocked your boxes over» and the they were not responsibility to anything inside the units. And yes «what earthquake?»… He was talking about the Napa quake. My friend is filing a Better Business Bureau claim and a claim thought Small Claims Court.

Our unit flooded because of a broken sprinkler. We came and move a lot of our stuff out but left the big stuff behind. Instead of calling us they TESTED the system and flooded our unit again. No notice. They took no ownership in damaging our stuff… WORST PLACE!!!

I’ve had many storage’s in my time from moving to place to place but this one is the best. The manager is amazing as well as his staff when hes not there. I had a unit there for 3 years. The customer service is top notch and reasonable storage cost and a good selection of unit sizes. as long as I’m in the Sacramento area this the only storage place I need to go. They are the best hands down.

My mother did some calling around for a storage unit for her thing and my thing. We decided to give Blue Ravine Self Storage a try. Price was good, location was good. We reserve a post earlier in the week of March 18^th-​23^rd. All seems fine. Let the office know we would be coming in on Sunday March 23^rd to sign the papers and start loading the unit with stuff.
Sunday March 23^th. My wife, mom, my friend and I are all loaded and ready to get moving. We venture over to Blue Ravine Self Storage. We all pull in and park. I get out to go to the office and the door is locked. A removable sign says closed be back at 1:30pm. It’s 11:30am.
Hours of operation on Sunday say 9 – 4. Well you’re not open. We’re here and we now have to wait two hours before we can do paperwork and offload all our stuff.
My family and I own a small business in Sacramento and we never close during the hours posted on our sign!
If you say you are open 9 – 4 then for Christ sakes be open 9 – 4. Poor customer service. I would not recommend Blue Ravine Self Storage.
