NY Puppy Club

Impressive!! This is the first time I brought my mini poodle and teacup poodle here for their basic grooming and I’m starting to love this place.
They have the most caring groomers! My teacup poodle was diagnosed with Luxated patella since he was young. He’s now 5yo, I’ve brought him to several different places for grooming. NONE of the groomers came out and tell me they think there is some problem with his hind leg and it could be luxated patella. BUT NY PUPPY CLUB DID! I think this is the best thing to do to gain more customers, they show that they care, they tell their customers when they find something wrong.
Most importantly, both of them seem to be happy when they come out !

I have been here for a year. The staffs are really helpful they answer my question every time. The have lot of options for treats and toys. Take your dog with you, they have free treat for your dog too.

so far so good! My pups gets super awesome adorable hair cuts and they seem to be pretty happy about each visit. The groomers are kind and considerate about my opinions and would provide great recommendations. :)
Just added a new cockapoo puppy to our family and is hoping he can get groomed here too!

Nice n friendly enviroment. Appt is ok, not to hard to get. Most toms i call for the same day n they can fit me in. They do a pretty good job on my babies. However they sometime don’t do things u ask for or cut more then u want or don’t cut enough. I would give a 3.5 but help can’t give half, but I think they r more then just 3 so I went with the 4. However i’m gonna try their other place on northern blvd that’s been getting a lot of positive feedbacks.

They got a couple beautiful dogs on sale right now. Yesterday when I stopped by, there were a husky and a 10 month old Boston terrier. If I didn’t already have a hyperative puggle at home, I would have taken the Boston terrier. I ended up taking another puppy home who seemed more chill. Iris who worked there was very nice and helpful. Anyway I’ll see how’s my puppy doing and will be back to update my review.

I board my two Jack Rusells, Trouble and Chaos here everytime I take a vacation. And I am extremely satisfied, because my dogs are clean, healthy and happy. I am able to monitor them online. I will board my dogs again there soon…

A neighbor recommended NY Puppy Club to me and I am so glad she did! I brought my 4 pound teacup yorkie in for a grooming and could not believe how organized, clean and easy the experience was. They made me feel comfortable leaving him there, especially after I had a negative experience at a nearby groomer. They have cameras so you can watch your dog in the back room if you decide to stay but if you don’t, you can pick them up in 2 – 3 hours. When I came by to pick him up, they gave me a report card about some details about my dog. It was so nice that they paid such careful, close attention to him. He also came out looking cuter than ever, with a bow tie and all! We will definitely be a repeat customer!

I love this place! Two years ago I adopted a 10 year old Pekingese named Mia. She had major trust issues and a bad back. After bringing her to a few groomers, she would come back limping and achy. I took her here asking them to be as gentle as possible. In the two years she’s been going here, not once did she come home in any discomfort. Not only was I happy with my dog coming home pain free she also had the best cut I’ve ever received. To add to this review, they are also exceptionally clean with no doggy smell. They run an adorable daycare and hotel which I haven’t used yet, but when I do I will feel totally at ease leaving my precious pooch there. Thank you all at NY Puppy Club. You guys are the best!

I took my dogs here a few months ago because my sister is a regular .she raved about this place and so I decided to take my two shipoos here. We just moved from Tampa and my dogs had their groomer that I was used to already and so you can imagine my hesitation in finding a new good groomer. The place is very well kept and they have alot of products for sale but are on the pricey side. My only concern with this place is that you don’t get a consistent groomer and we had two different groomers and so two different tips. Also one of my shipoos had an eye irritation the next day so not sure if it was related. Their hair cut was decent nothing special .I am willing to give them a second chance but this time if anything happens to my dogs again I may not be making the trek back to queens for these groomers. I may need a place in Brooklyn.

They are punctual and have excellent service! I’m glad I gave this place a try. Usually Danny is very anxious whenever he’s groomed, but when he walked out of NY Puppy Club he was a very happy and energetic dog. He also became very handsome LOL. :)

I called at 8:45am and got to take my Bichon Frise at 10am to get shampoo, nails cut, and cleaning of the ears. He was ready by 12pm and he was super happy to see me :) Price is average but its big and has tons of dog supplies I definitely recommend this spot! Its super clean!

I recently visited NY Puppy Club at my brother’s recommendation. He’s been a frequent customer for some time now, and would consistently rave about their experienced groomers, well stocked facilities and professional cuts. As soon as I had gotten my puppy up to date on his vaccinations, and the very week after I got him neutered, I brought him over for a very needed grooming session.
My dog is a Maltese, and he had not been groomed in some time when I visited. Because of that, and with warm weather around the corner, I opted for a cut that was a bit shorter than normal. Admittedly, I was not as specific as I should have been when explaining the length I wanted except to say that I wanted it shorter than she originally suggested. I left my dog and agreed to come when called.
My dog’s fur was shorter than I was expecting. But, that’s not a problem. He felt silky and it alleviated the problem of the matting that had begun to take place. My main issue was his beautiful face. He looked … well, ridiculous, and not at all like a Maltese. His ears were left fluffy and the fur around his head was shaped into a ludicrous looking ball shape. The lady brought him out, exclaiming «Here he is!» and I was like «Really?! Is it?!». I couldn’t believe it was my dog. She then proceeded to hand me the baby teeth that she had extracted herself. I understand that this is something that vets and groomers often recommend, but I was taken aback that they had removed them without my consent. Had they asked, I’m not sure what I would have said. A week earlier during his neutering, I was asked by my vet how I’d liked to proceed and I had decided to leave them alone. I wasn’t upset about this though, but I do think it’s something they could have asked my opinion on instead of taking it upon themselves and handing me a bunch of extracted baby teeth when I went to pick him up.
Overall, my dog is fine. But, he looks silly, plain and simple. I hate how he looked when he left. I probably should have asked them to further shape the fur on his ears and face. That is completely my fault for leaving feeling unhappy, but I honestly just wanted to get the hell out of there.
I probably wouldn’t return myself, although I want to mention that their shop is very well taken care of and the employees seem to genuinely care about animals. I just wouldn’t feel comfortable returning myself …

I gave this place a try because of the great reviews on Unilocal and I’m so glad I did. Great customer service! Love the cut and the smell of the shampoo. I can’t stop smelling my dog now! I’m so happy with this place that I’ve already recommended my cousins to bring their dog here too!

I had my pom groomed here and they did an awesome job.
They even gave us a full review of her teeth, skin, eyes, ears etc!
Will come again

I took my pom Daisy in to NY Puppy Club yesterday morning around 8:45am for a shampoo and a low cut (she was VERY fluffy) after an intense morning in the park. When I walked in I was told that the groomers wouldn’t be in until around 10 – 10:30 but there was availability and that they could take her and keep her until then.
I was given a call before the quoted finishing time and returned to find a beautifully bathed pup! Daisy looked great and even had a little bow! I didn’t find any nicks or irritation on her and the staff seemed really thorough and friendly. Also, as a native Manhattanite, I found the pricing very affordable and I will be back!

I’ve been to other Puppy Clubs and have always left feeling so-​so. With this one, I’m super impressed! The mostly positive reviews brought me here in April 2014 and I liked all the Unilocal haircut photos so I decided to book my Pom for a grooming.
Once we arrived, Chris was very helpful and explained everything and answered any questions we had. The groomer, Esty, showed me pictures of different cuts and I decided on a lion cut. They told us that it would be approximately 3 hours and would call once he was done. 3 hours later, I got a call, but since I was in the middle of eating, they said it was fine, and we could pick him up anytime before the store closed, which was awesome; I hate feeling rushed when eating.
When we arrived to the store, I heard dogs barking in the back and went over to the gate area and saw a bunch of little dogs playing in the playroom/​daycare area and two beautiful huskies in another play area. Chris was nice enough to show us around and take us on a tour of the facilities. Though in general Puppy Club is a small space, everything was exceptionally clean and modern looking. The boarding area was nice because they had glass enclosures. It looked pretty comfortable.
When Esty brought my dog out, he was prancing around. He knows how to get attention and he knew that with this haircut, he would get plenty. I’m not even joking. All the cart people in my hood give him chicken skewers because he sits in front of their face and «prays» and after his haircut, so many random people were coming up to me and saying they loved his haircut. This group of people even asked to take a picture with him (I know, WTF right? Only in NY).
So back to the haircut, Esty had put a little black/​silver bow near his ear, which was kind of funny because he’s not female, but people think he is, so I left it in. She also gave us this checklist/​report of his skin, eyes, etc. condition, so we could know of any issues he had (he had none, good condition all around, yay!).
The store is set up like a little boutique with treats, food, bowls, carriers, and more, and the entire place is spotless. There was a wet spot where a dog had pee’d and it was cleaned up right away.
I think this will be our go-​to from now — staff is great, price is right. In fact, we’ll be here this weekend for another cut and hopefully it will last through the rest of the summer.
Now if only they had more cat stuff, it would be my one-​stop shop. Need to find more stuff to pamper him with. Sorry kitty cat.

I had to get my dogs bathed and groomed right away, and NY Puppy Club was able to do it. Obbie (my Westie) just needed a bathe and his face trimmed, but Kitsune (my Pom rescue) definitely needed grooming, too. They were very helpful and Heather was very receptive and open to how Kit’s first grooming (since he’d been rescued) would look like.
I thought it was helpful that she had pictures as examples to show me. She was able to groom/​bathe both dogs in three hours, and they looked great. They even came with a «report card» that showed the state of their features (eyes, ears, skin, etc.) I appreciate the detail they put into it, and that’s how I found out they both had dry skin (though I already suspected it). They even had suggestions on how to moisturize between baths.
The place was clean, welcoming, and very professional. They have both daycare and overnight boarding, where dogs can sleep in glass enclosed spaces (instead of fences, where they’d look like they’re in cages or in jail). They gave me a tour of their boarding facilities and mentioned there’s a doggie cam for when you’d like to check on your dog.
For the price ($ 30 for Obbie’s bath only, $ 45 for Kit’s full grooming), it was such a good deal for such a great job. My only gripe is I wish they were closer and more subway accessible (as I don’t have a car), but again, they’re definitely worth a Zipcar ride or borrowing a car.

I brought my dog in for the first time and I couldn’t be more please with the job they did on him. My groomer asked exactly what I want wanted and then saved it on the computer so the next time I come in they can look up and repeat it. The person at the front desk was polite and the store was very clean. They have a lot of cool things in the store to check out. The best part to me is that they also have a camera in the corner of the room where you can view your pet as they are on daycare or greeting groomed
