Ordered the Japanese Cheesecake. It had a beautiful look. However, the cheese concentrate was too little… I think they should make the cheese concentrate a little bit stronger

Love, love the coconut buns. Lived in NYC for years when I visit I always track down a coconut bun. Fresh & delicious! I’ll be back.

Very rude services here, I only come here to get the cakes, even on New Year’s Eve, the lady seems like she’s so pissed. She asked me to take my cake with me, when I told her I need to run errands.

Coffee aint the best there. But the cakes are excellent. It is a little pricey though for its small size.

your typical Asian bakery but on the pricier size for no reason except maybe the aesthetic. I got the peach Danish or something along those lines for $ 2 and it was more of a bread w a tiny bit of custard filling and my friend got a chicken sandwich for $ 2.75 for a mostly bread with a little piece of chicken and lettuce stuck inside it. the bag that came with the bun was pretty cute though, but not very worth

I placed an order for a cake this morning and as promised, I picked up the cake a few hours after I ordered it. They staff was very helpful and I would be ordering more cakes from them. I have never had problem buying other items at this location. The bakery is always crowded with customers.

I love the convenient location of this place, right on the corner of main street across from the library! Mugi typically doesn’t have a line, so it’ll save you a good 5 minutes compared to other bakeries nearby. The price is usually like 25 cents more expensive compared to other bakeries, but that extra quarter will reflect in the quality of their buns!
When it comes to my breakfast, it’s just too early to be adventurous, so I stick with my two go-​to buns: ‘Sesame Bun’ and ‘Hot Dog Scallion Bun.’ The sesame bun might terrify some people because it’s actually super black, but I can taste that they use real sesame powder because it’s not too sweet and it has a tiny hint of bitter aftertaste. The sesame seeds on top enhances the aroma a bit! And in the center of the bun, there are some hidden sesame as well, so they you wont feel like you’re eating 80% bread and 20% ingredients like many other bakeries’ buns.
The last thing I need early in the morning is to eat greasy breakfast and feel like I’ll die of heart-​attack by lunch (bacon is a whole other story). Many bakeries make their hot dog scallion bun way too greasy, which is not the case here at Mugi!
The only thing that’s so-​so is their coffee!

Chinese bakery posing as Korean bakery. I ordered a yinyang (coffee + milk tea) and it’s super watered down. It didn’t come with a tea bag so it’s going to stay gross and diluted. :(Should’ve taken my $ 1.50 to Dunkin Donuts across the street. Don’t even want to come back to see if the cakes are any good.

i went to the store located in kissena blvd, i told the lady that i want vanilla with mix fruit and she said no and it only come with strawbarry. she also said it will be additional cost for that.
she was also very rude, the customer services was really poor and i was so mad about that.

Price different when u pay. Dishonest cashier. Different .25c. Can u imagine 1 ppl .25c. How much u get a day.

Have been here a couple time. Food is delicious and fresh. It’s a little small, uncomfortable sitting

Another new bakery in Flushing that is nice and clean. They serve baked goods from pudding to cake to bread. The bread is similar to all other breads at regular bakeries. The cakes (whole and sliced) are very pretty and nicely decorated. They serve drinks that range from lattes to coffee to tea.
I got the pudding one time, which was overly sweet. It comes in a small plastic container which is cute.
The chocolate mousse cake was pretty good if you like mousse. My sister loved it, but I thought it was too sweet.
Overall this bakery is okay in terms of food, but the décor is very clean and neat!

The mango moose cake here is one of the best! A must try. The buns are okay but not the best around

Best milk tea i’ve had ever! It’s not overly sweet just perfect! The hot milk tea is a perfect balance to their pastries (which were very moist). I went back for their milk tea boba and it was sooo light and refreshing. I absolutely loved it.

Needed respite for from the heat so came here. It was very quiet.
The first thing I noticed on entrance were the cupcakes! first asian bakery I have seen to be carrying cupcakes
I wasnt in the mood for them so we got an egg custard thing that was too hard and not fresh at all.
I also got the passion fruit slush which was really good but the coconut one was just ice and water.
Bottom line– nothing special, will only coming for drinks and just maybe the cupcakes

get the polo bun here! it’s really good, probably one of the best in flushing. Everything else is just okay, I’d come back all the time just to get their polo buns! Service is great too, they’re really nice here.

Not your typical Chinese bakery… they aspire to make items with Asian flavors but with western quality and standards. Cakes are light but tasty here. My favorite is the beef hot dog bun… it’s awesome!

Ever since it opened i wanted to give it a try but never did until recently cause i got super hungry and i was doing rounds. This bakery is deff different from the bakeries around Flushing. This one was different from the chinese bakeries and the korean ones.
This bakery I feel are more for younger people since there were lots of cupcakes and cakes (and buns but sweet ones) The buns are different of course. I’ve tried the mochi bun and another time the chocolate custard bun. BOTH were yummy as heck. The mochi bun wasn’t sweet which I thought was great and in the center of the bun inside it had a mochi. It was so cool, overall the bun wasn’t plain but it wasn’t overly sweet. I liked it anyways. I felt it was unique and i like mochi and it was great.
The chocolate custard was interesting as well. It was sort of like a dessert kinda bun not your breakfast bun. I thought it was more like a snack bun when i was eating it. I’m not saying it’s bad. It not super sweet either its a really good bun with chocolate

Another time I had their oreo cheesecake and it was amazing! it was soft and smooth. But I also got the mango mousse and I was disappointed. There was mango taste but It doesn’t taste natural. Also the texture of the mousse was weird, it was like jelly ish texture. I couldn’t even finish it… I didn’t want to.
The place also had cupcakes and macaroons! The displays of cakes and everything was really nice. Idk I only had one disappointing thing so the place seems good enough for now. But I kind of want to try their cupcakes but i wonder if it’s anything special or it’s just well… a cupcake. You know?
The people that works there are ehh (uninterested, unfriendly, the works…)…I didn’t ask their help but the way they acted and such when i paid for my buns/​cakes. I just didn’t like it. They didn’t act friendly whatsoever and didn’t even smile. Pffft… they prolly don’t like their job. That’s what I got to say about them!

This place is OK. not the best and not the worst. Its within walking distance from my house which is a plus but it’s not something to rant and rave about. The girls there are nice but do not seem to know much about items that are being served. They tried to tell me that tiramisu was plain chocolate cake which I KNOW its not. I also asked if they had pork buns, for my guy who loves them. They gave me one (I had no clue if it really was one because I don’t eat them). When I got it home to my guy, he tried it and said it wasn’t pork. It was fish and it was spoiled. Major thumbs down!
The pumpkin cheesecake was ok. Tasted too much like canned pumpkin. The red velvet and the marble cheesecake was good so in my book that is what saved them. Don’t ask for help ordering cause the girls do not know much about the products. I’m assuming this is because it is not baked in the premises. But if you know what you are looking for or are feeling daring, come here.
