There is no option to give 0 stars otherwise I would have chosen. These guys never showed up for the move. The lady who took our booking was so rude and kept on saying they will come later and when I asked about when (during one of the numerous calls I made on the moving day) then she started screaming at me «I don’t know when they will come, how do I know» blah blah… This is the worst company, not at all customer friendly. I don’t want anyone to suffer the way we did. We had to pay extra to the owner as we couldn’t move on the scheduled day and then had to hire other company for the move. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Highly unproffesional people. First off you wouldnt understand a word of what they speak. 2^nd, they do not have any track of who calls and any means of locating a freakin address. Mary, the lady who picks up the phone is extremely rude and ended up shouting when these guys did not show up for more than an hour. The appointment was booked 2 weeks in advance and confirmed 3 times. Exactly on the day of the move, these guys dont show up and when we called to remind them, they on the contrary started shouting. Some of my freinds who have gone through them have ended up breaking valuables. Most pathetic moving company. Totally avoid!

I contacted Hong Dong moving company 1 week before moving date, got a quote, and just because they are in the same area of Flushing, Queens, I decided to go with them .
their rates were more or less in the same range, not too high, not too low .
I reconfirmed the appointment 24 hours by calling them, they never called me to reconfirm .
The time confirmed was 2 pm EST. I called them at 10 am to reconfirm again, they said 2 pm it is .
Then at 2 pm, it was turned to 3 pm, then 3 pm turned to 3:30, then 4, then 4:30, then 5, then they NEVER came .
At 4 pm they lied to me that the building i was moving in, had restricted time, I called the building management, they confirmed that I can bring the movers before 10 pm which was enough given the fact that i was moving from a one bedroom to a one bedroom .
They kept lieing, they never reached, never contacted, nothing .
And the same guy picks up the two phone numbers, and he cannot speak english. it was next to impossible to understand him, he is very rude, and they ended up wasting a whole day, and now i moved myself by getting a few people on hour rates form craigslist and getting a Uhaul truck .
If you want to waste your day, you have these people.

We got them to move from our 1 bed rental place to a 2 bed condo. We had around 35 boxes, big suitcases computer desk, TV and lot of random open items not boxed like plants lamps etc.
These guys totally 4 showed up before time and monitored the place in 5 minutes and then started rolling. They were just super awesome, were listening to everything I was requesting. They cleared the place in like 45 minutes. One of them found the TV stand lose so sat and assembled the whole thing again. Very polite and friendly. When we reached our new place, as soon as they started bringing stuff, we told them each box goes in which room and they would pit exactly where we asked.
I loved them overall and gave a good tip which they never insisted.
Highly recommended!

Well these guys were quick and fast however i believe their needs to be improvement in the service.
Better price estimation. As i was quoted a different price but when they arrived they requested different price.
Secondly, safety first. The movers goal is to move quick and get done with the job however safety is not taken into consideration.
So wish them all the best for future business but desire future improvements in price estimates and safety and security.

These guys were fantastic. We used them in July, 2011. One of my friends referred them and I was very skeptical about them since the lady I spoke over the phone had a very thick Chinese accent (and myself having not so thick Indian accent!). But seeing them action, I was speechless. A 2BR apartment move (Second Floor to First floor; distance of 4 miles) took just 2.5 hours, including disassembling/​assembling of furniture. The damage was literally nothing. I tipped them heavily seeing their service. Assuming their service level is same (since 2011); they are highly recommended.

I agree — I was hesitant to review only because I kinda want them all to myself. Best prices, super-​fast and respectful service. Definitely recommend!!!

Excellent movers. We used them 4 times already over the span of 6 years– very prompt and the prices are best in NY. My brother used them to move from New York to Delaware and got an amazing deal and as stress free experience as moving can be.

These guys were the cheapest, and actually the best movers I have had in NYC. They were very fast, polite, and careful. I was moving from a 1 BR in NYC, dropping a bunch of boxes and a chair at a 3^rd fl walk-​up in Hoboken, and then delivering the rest to a storage unit. I would absolutely recommend them. Using more expensive established companies in the past, I didn’t get the nicest movers, and some of my things still got banged up. With hong dong I had a really great experience. One thing to note, there is definitely a language barrier, but all of my things were delivered to the right place in perfect condition.

By far the cheapest movers in the city! We used them to move from a 1BR in Inwood to a 1BR in Prospect Heights. Door-​to-​Door the loading and unloading was done in 2.5 hours. They even arrived 20 mins early. It’s cash only and definitely no frills — I don’t think they offer insurance — but if you want the best cheapest movers in NYC, don’t hesitate to call them.
