Don’t use that company
We were searching for new tenants
Their agent found one for us — made appointment with tenant to singh up the lease, when we all got there turned out that there’s no lease at all and won’t be lease at all
Both –me and tenent told her that we want to have lease signed — she started promising that she will send it via email !!!
When I told that isn’t way we gonna pay her if she don’t find any lease –surprise … No leases at that office at all !!! They don’t do leases between tenant and landlord !
I cancelled the deal
After we left –owner of that agency called me few times threading me that I have to get that deal with them and rent my apartment and they supposed be paid because his agent «worked hard on it «-really? Making us coming over to sing up the lease without the lease –just to take the checks from us? … Wow !!! No way –stay away from that business

My home was being sold and I was told that Crifasi real estate was going to help me out in the tough transition. My landlords decided to sell the house. When Sal found out that I was paying a decent rent for the 8 years I have lived here he convinced the new owners to raise my rent $ 600 per month. He also convinced them to take away the storage space I had in the basement as well as my garage rental.
He seemed very understanding of my plight at the time and even mentioned that what my «landlords» were doing to me was wrong and he would make it up to me «out of (his) own pocket.»
The house sold and I hadn’t heard a word from Mr. Crifasi. I called the office 4 times and did not get a call back. His promise was that he would include in the closing costs A storage space rental and the $ 600 that would raise my deposit to the amount of one months rent. When after 5 phone calls I finally got his secretary on the phone she emailed me that Mr. Crifasi thought that $ 400 for a storage space for a year was fair and he would give me the $ 600. We live in NYC that’s $ 39 per month for a storage space. I sent him a quote (not for the biggest most expensive space) of $ 139 per month.
Thanks for nothing mr. Crifasi. Thank you for raising the rates of all rentals in middle village, glendale and maspeth. Hope your happy you are pricing the middle class out of our homes. Not to mention taking advantage of this single mother of 2.

Extremely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. If you’re looking for a shred of decency or compassion whatsoever, I suggest you steer clear of Sal Candela. This place is filled with corporate greed and they obviously do not put the customer before the cash. I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. By far the worst people I have ever dealt with in my entire life.
PS Do not park in their parking lot because apparently their spots are better left empty than used by any customers.

New York City is known for our rude and fast behavior but never have I every felt more violated and disrespected then being at their office. The boss, Sal Candela obviously has no ideas what customer service means. I have never been so disappointed with a real estate company as I have with them, and to think that the only reason I went to them was because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt just pisses me off even more.
I can’t believe they are still in business, words can’t describe how pissed off I am at this place.
Please save yourself the time and the energy and do not enter this place.

Do not use Crifasi. I called them numerous times as well as stopped in looking for a rental. I was told that one of the brokers would reach out to me, but never did. The lack of professionalism is not worth the hassle. I would use someone else.

I grew up with Crifasi around the corner of our apartment. Always said I used them when ever was gonna get a house, fast forward 17 years that’s what I did. Pretty much every nice looking house up for sale, I would see their Crifasi sign next to it. Especial in Queens, they dominate.
I am recommending Sal (SJ) Crifasi to everyone. My parents and I originally met him while he was showing us one of the properties under Crifasi, and he was very easy going and knowledgeable, and didn’t heckle us for decisions. Even though we didn’t fall in love with that property, we loved his attitude (especially being first time home-​buyers). We told him what we wanted and within a few houses we found the right one (which just happen to be another Crifasi property, just proof they have the best houses– in my opinion). We had a crazy situation between our mortgage and the house, etc… No house buying experience is easy nowadays. But he stayed calm (and kept us calm), he always tried to give us the best advice, was available 99% of the time or at least got back to us as soon as he could. It almost felt like we his only clients, I can’t put it any clearer. He’s very dedicated and very personable. We appreciated all his help, and I’m now writing this review in my new living room :)
