We work with each client individually to help them overcome their fears and take the first steps on the trail of their life-​changing journey at our studio.

Our 14 certified personal trainers work with competitive athletes, bodybuilders, fitness enthusiasts, and people in need of serious weight-​loss and guidance in developing healthy living habits.

History

Established in 2008.

Jesse James Leyva has been involved in gyms for over 14 years now. He has always felt that the best way for his clients to achieve their goals was in a studio setting, with no distractions or disruptions, where they could flourish and give it their all. Jesse James Fit came to be through the mentality that fitness and healthiness was a way of life, rather than a part-​time job.

An avid fitness expert for more than 15 years, Jesse wears his passion and discipline proudly and wants nothing more than to instill that passion for health, happiness and positive change in each and every person he meets.

Truly appreciating the «small stuff», the tiny steps that lead people to realize that, yes, they can do so much more than they once thought possible, Jesse knew he had to start something new. Through the years in the fitness industry, Jesse discovered a desire for an environment where people could be people, and not made to feel out of place or isolated. Sustained health and fitness and a feeling of belonging needed to be stressed. Health and fitness enthusiasts were in search of an experience that focused not just on firm muscles, but on a healthy body, mind, and a complete change of lifestyle.

This is not your typical gym! This is a place you go to when you are serious about transforming your body. I could not believe the results following the training, and most importantly, the nutrition plan. there is such a positive atmosphere, from all the trainers as well as the clients. I can’t imagine working out at a traditional gym again!

My story, while not as dramatic as others, is still amazing to me. I began working out with Kay at JJF because I could see the difference it was making in how my wife, Liz, looked. It was obvious to me if I didn’t get serious about working out people would think Liz was my daughter instead of my trophy wife of 32 years. While I considered myself relatively fit, the reality was I was 30 – 40 lbs over weight, had lost a lot of my strength and struggled with some nagging aches and pains. I tried getting into shape by lifting weights on my own (I didn’t think I needed a trainer watching over me), yet was making little progress. I was limited by prior injuries and surgeries (especially on my knees), making my workouts ineffective. I was beginning to feel old. Then I began training with Kay. She is amazing. I won’t say it wasn’t hard to get started, especially finding a time I could stick to. But it wasn’t long before I was looking forward to work-​outs because I could SEE and FEEL the difference.
As Kay worked with me, she managed my injuries, yet challenged me in such a way that my confidence in my strength and endurance began to grow. She also encouraged me to increase my cardio, and gave me a nutrition plan which changed my whole way of eating. My energy began to increase and the pounds began to come off. Even though I still eat a lot, I just eat differently, and so far I’ve lost 20 pounds and 4 inches in my waist while gaining muscle. I do feel more confident in how I look, and I’m wearing the same size clothes I used to wear in college. But the best part has been the change in my overall health. My energy level is through the roof, I now have very few aches and pains and I’ve regained FULL flexibility in my knees which the orthopedic doctors told me would never happen unless I had surgery! I am a firm believer every one needs access to a trainer like Kay and the caliber of all the trainers at Jesse James Fit.

Kay Simms is a joy to work with. I have fibromyalgia, and she worked very well with not putting too much strain but at the same time helped with strengthening me. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly, very welcoming. I highly recommend Jesse James Fitness!

All I have to say is, if you want to get the results you are aiming for this is the place to come too. Everyone is SO NICE and WELCOMING when you enter this gym. Jesse always smiles and greets each person who walks through the door. I have trained before at a different facility and when I compare the two styles of training I feel this place is better suited to me and my needs. Instead of being discouraged, I am uplifted. Instead of being pushed out of fear, I am pushed out of full respect and desire to reach my goals. Instead of leaving like I was incapable of reaching my maximal potential, I leave fully satisfied knowing that I trained my hardest and did everything I could. Each time it gets harder, but I know that each time I’m getting better. I can’t thank JJF enough! Like I said, GREAT facility, GREAT people, and a GREAT environment to be in. So thankful and absolutely NO REGRETS training here at all. Totally worth it!
