Canine Courtyard

My dog actually butted me out of the car with his head this morning because he was so excited to get past me and inside to spend the day with his friends.

We were extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service at Canine Courtyard. We scheduled a Saturday appointment for grooming services (one dog just needed a bath; the other needed to be shaved down). They called us early Saturday morning to see if they could reschedule us for Sunday since they had a groomer out sick. We were very understanding and agreed to bring them Sunday.
We dropped them off at 8am on Sunday. Since we hadn’t heard from them by 1pm, I called to see if they were still working on our dogs. I was told they would be ready closer to 5pm. At 3:30pm they called us to say they could bathe one of our dogs, but couldn’t complete the other dog because they had a groomer walk out on them and had a lot of other complicated dogs that day. So, they had our dogs cooped up for over 7 hours and never managed to do a thing to either of them during that time. They said we could reschedule our second dog for another day and they would give us a 20% discount. We told them not to bother bathing one dog, we would just pick them both up. Somehow, I imagined that our dogs would have taken priority over others since we were already rescheduled from Saturday. Surely they knew they weren’t going to be able to get our dogs finished before they called at 3:30pm.

When we arrived, there was no owner or manager on hand and it was clear that no one was concerned that we were upset. Obviously, we weren’t about to take it out on some teenager at the front desk that wasn’t empowered to do anything. So, it was a completely frustrating experience! We will never use Canine Courtyard again for any services, given their serious lack of customer service!

Both my dogs LOVE hanging out at dayplay! they just got some awesome green turf in the play yards outside and it looks so much better than other places ive been. i can take my boys and buy their food all in the same place!

Awesome place for doggy day care, grooming and boarding. My dog Walter goes weekly for day play and he loves this place. Its run by true animal lovers. The cost is reasonable and well worth it.

This place continues to exceed our expectations. We’ve come in and had the dogs greeted by name. Of our 3 dogs, we have 2 small dogs and 1 big one. They were separating them during playtime because of size (understandably so). On a recent visit, they let us know that they allowed Molly (big dog) to play with the little dogs because all she did during the outside time was mope and look for our other dogs (she’s especially protective of our yorkie). Once they did that, all was good. She’s definitely not an aggressive dog and just wanted to be with her pack, so I’m glad that they acknowledged that and considered it safe enough to do so. It’s this attention to detail that I appreciate!
The yorkie has gotten groomed there a few more times and each time they’ve listened to my requests. I’m picky about the length of cut and every time they have done their best. This last time they nailed the haircut just like I like it! They’ve also been able to get him groomed on short notice.
They have had a few price increases since we joined, but we will continue to go there because the quality of service is wonderful.

The owners and staff here are true animal lovers who go above and beyond to make sure your pup is well taken care of. They offer training, grooming, boarding and daytime play all at affordable rates. My two year old boston terrier mix cannot get enough of their daytime play and goes about 3 times a week!

I just returned from a 10 day vacation and wasn’t able to take my lab. It was my first time to board him. These people are great. They have 24 people on staff. It was like summer camp for my lab. He was very well cared for. I will never hesitate to use this facility again. Thanks to everyone at Canine Courtyard.

Great place to take the dogs, they are very well cared for. Priced reasonably as well. I have boarded them several times here and they also have doggy day care. :)

Impressive facility, staff, and owners. They are very accommodating and go above and beyond. Our dogs, all three of them, see the building while in the car and get very excited to get in and play. I could not imagine anyplace else watching our furry kids! We also have the «kids» groomed there and let me say, our dogs have never looked so good. I will never take my dogs anywhere else, this is THE place to have your dog be seen!

We are always very happy with the staff and the facilities! Max went through obedience training there and they were so kind and easy to work with. We use them for all of our boarding and grooming needs! He gets so excited when he sees where we are he can barely control himself! Highly, highly recommend them!

We took our dog to the Canine Courtyard to be boarded after we had a really bad time at the Pets Hotel at Petsmart (that’s a whole other review in itself…). We went in for a tour and met the new owner. She seemed nice and explained how they had redone the place since the previous owners. It was nice that there was a real yard with grass for the dogs to play, but since so many dogs are there the grass was starting to die and there were rocks all over the ground. They said that you could bring in personal items of your dog to have while being boarded like beds, bones, toys, etc. When our dog stayed, we got a nice bag (like a nice laundry bag kids use for college) back with his bed inside of it when we picked him up. The next time we brought him to be boarded, we took his bed put it in the bag they gave us and place a few bones in there for him to snack on. When we picked him up, the bag looked like it hadn’t been opened at all. I could tell that they hadn’t given him his bed or the bones by the way I tie my bags. I was a bit disappointed and I lost their trust for them when they didn’t do what they said they would do. Another weekend my dog also came back with a giant scab on the top of his head and a four inch gash on his side. They didn’t even mention these injuries to us when we picked him up. They should have noticed it when they gave him his exit bath. The people are nice and all, but I think they aren’t paying enough attention to the dogs. Our dog also lost ten pounds there over the christmas break and we know that since he went to the vet before and after for a check up. I don’t think we will be bringing our dog back again. I had really thought we had found our «dream kennel.»

I just moved to Flower Mound and was looking for a place to take my dog. I toured many facilities and LOVE LOVE LOVE canine courtyard! They have multiple play areas inside the airconditioning and a couple outside with fun toys and kiddie pools. The play areas are always supervised and the owners were available and accessible to all my questions. They are the nicest and cheapest in town. Great combo! My dog has enjoyed going there several times over the past couple months.
